AEW DARK SPECIAL - 3/4/23
The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) w/Billy Gunn vs. The Workhorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake)
The match begins with a brawl between all four competitors, Bowens stays in the ring with Henry while landing chops on him. Bowens traps Henry in the ropes while landing more strikes, Bowens follows up by hitting Henry with a drop kick. Henry fights back and he kicks Bowens in the midsection, Drake tags in and he lands some strikes on a cornered Bowens. Bowens fights back before tagging Caster in, Caster drops Drake before landing a plethora of strikes on him. Drake escapes the grasp of Caster before sending him into the corner, Henry interferes and he kicks Caster before Drake lands a bossman slam for a near fall. Drake traps Caster in the corner while landing some chops, Henry tags in and he hits Caster with a leaping forearm strike. Caster goes down and Drake tags in before landing a slingshot swanton bomb followed by multiple headbutts, Drake keeps Caster down while holding him in a chin lock. Caster gets free and he cracks Drake with a few strikes, Henry tags in and Caster sends him into Drake before rolling him up for a near fall.
Bowens tags in and he immediately starts cleaning house against the opposing team, Bowens then hits Henry with a brain buster for a near fall. Caster tags in and Drake immediately knocks him off the top rope, Drake then drags Bowens out of the ring before landing a right. Henry then hits Caster with a knee strike before helping Drake land a flat liner for a near fall, Drake tags in and Henry hits Caster with a top rope double stomp. Drake misses a top rope moonsault as Bowens takes Henry out, Caster then hits Drake with a fireman’s carry slam. Bowens tags in and Drake is hit with Scissor Me Timbers for a three count.

After the match, Billy Gunn hits JD Drake with a fame asser before landing one on Anthony Henry as well.
Aaron Solo vs. Daniel Garcia w/Sammy Guevara
The match begins with Garcia pie facing Solo a few times before eating some strikes, Solo then drops Garcia with a rana followed by a drop kick. Garcia fights back and Solo drops him with a hip toss followed by an arm drag and drop kick, Garcia gets Solo on the ring apron and he finds a way to knock him to the arena floor a short time later. Garcia leaves the ring and he mocks the crowd while getting Solo back in the ring, Solo fights back and he knocks Garcia into the barricade. Garcia recovers and he sends Solo into the ring steps, Garcia gets Solo back in the ring getting him in a chin lock. Solo gets free and he nails Garcia with a few strikes before being drops by a back elbow strike, Garcia keeps Solo down while walking on his back. Solo fights back again and he cracks Garcia with a few strikes, Solo then drops Garcia multiple times with some clotheslines. Solo then hits Garcia with a neck breaker, Solo attacks a cornered Garcia before landing an exploder suplex.
Garcia leaves the ring and Solo nails him with a suicide dive, Solo gets Garcia back in the ring before going to the top rope and landing a double stomp for a near fall. Garcia blocks a tornado kick from Solo before landing a uranage, Guevara jumps on the ring apron and he gives Garcia a kiss. Garcia accidentally hits Guevara and Solo lands a tornado kick for a near fall, Solo goes to the top rope and Guevara knocks him off. Garcia then hits Solo with a kick to the knee followed by a double underhook lung blower for a three count.
Winner: Daniel Garcia w/Sammy Guevara
After the match, Sammy Guevara gets a microphone and he questions what the crowd is saying to them before saying how proud he is of Daniel Garcia. Guevara says he has a gift for Garcia and it is a shirt featuring both of them on it, but only with Guevara’s name on it.
Hook vs. Peter Avalon
The match begins with Avalon attacking Hook with a forearm strike just as the bell sounded, Hook then crushes Avalon with multiple lariats and strikes. Avalon fights back and Hook nails him with a high collar suplex, Hook keeps Avalon down while landing cross face strikes. Hook gets Avalon in the Redrum and Avalon taps out.
Winner: Hook
The Firm (Matt Hardy, Isaiah Kassidy & Lee Moriarty) w/Stokeley Hathaway vs. Mark Briscoe & The Lucha Bros (Penta & Rey Fenix) w/Alex Abrahantes
The match begins with some chain wrestling between Fenix and Kassidy, Kassidy drops Fenix with an arm drag. Fenix gets up and he nails Kassidy with a rip cord head kick, Fenix then hits Kassidy with an arm drag followed by a drop kick. Penta tags in and Kassidy fights back against the Lucha Bros, the Lucha Bros recover and he Kassidy with a double super kick. Hardy tags in and he has a face off with Penta, Hardy cracks Penta with some elbow strikes before eating a super kick. Hardy fights back and he drops a charging Penta with a clothesline, Hardy then smashes Penta’s face into multiple turnbuckle pads. Moriarty tags in and he nails Penta with a headbutt to the midsection, Moriarty then focuses his attack on the arm of Penta. Kassidy tags in and he nails a cornered Penta with a plethora of strikes, Hardy tags in and he nails Penta with a middle rope elbow smash. Hardy goes for a Twist Of Fate and Penta avoids it before tagging Briscoe in, Briscoe quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Briscoe then hits Moriarty with a leaping boot to the face followed by a neck breaker, Briscoe goes for the Jay Driller and Moriarty avoids it.
Fenix tags in and Moriarty immediately drops him with a super kick, Hardy tags in and he hits Fenix with a side effect. Kassidy tags in and he hits Fenix with a top rope swanton bomb for a near fall, Kassidy then hits Fenix with an enziguri. Fenix recovers and he drops Kassidy with a spinning head kick, everybody from both teams hit the ring and they all take each other out. Penta tags in and he propels Kassidy into the corner before landing a super kick, the Lucha Bros then hit Kassidy with Fear Factor before Briscoe lands a Froggy Bow for a three count.
