CENA JOINS CAST OF NEW TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES FILM

John Cena will be voicing Rocksteady in the new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem" movie hitting theatres on 8/4:

Seth Rogen announced at last night's Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards the voice cast for his upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem computer-animated film.  John Cena will be voicing Rocksteady in the film that will be released on August 4 in theaters.  The film has an all-star cast that includes Paul Rudd,  Giancarlo Esposito, Maya Rudolph, Post Malone, Jackie Chan, Rose Byrne and others. Seth Rogen who is producing will also be voicing Rocksteady's partner in crime Bebop

According to Deadline the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles "Mutant Mayhem" film is an original story following the crime-fighting Ninja Turtles as they protect the sewers and streets of New York City. After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend April O’Neil (Edibiri) helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.

This is the second time John Cena has interacted with The Heroes in the Halfshell as the multi-time WWE Champion voiced the villain Baron Draxum in the most recent "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" Nickelodeon TV series. And this is the second time a WWE personality will be portraying Rocksteady, as Sheamus played the role in " Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows" in 2016
