Since Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler joined forces in the WWE, they have had a lot of success in the ring in the tag team division. One of their latest wins came over Shotzi and Natalya. It was Rousey who finished the contest by submission on that occasion.

There has arguably never been a women’s pairing in WWE history with the background Rousey and Baszler have. The MMA stars have already achieved so much in fighting, and they could be set for more glory in the latest chapters of their careers.
The success the pair have had could lead to more UFC stars moving to the WWE in the future. Former Lightweight Champion Jon Jones has said in the past that it is "inevitable" that he will sign for the brand one day. He is set to make a return to the Octagon at UFC 285. Fans of the MMA are already placing Jones vs Gane bets on that fight, where the American is the 4/7 favourite.
Jones is not the only current UFC fighter to be linked with joining the likes of Rousey, Shayna Baszler and Brock Lesnar in the WWE. Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou and former two-weight world champion Conor McGregor have revealed their interest in the past. An appearance at a WrestleMania event in some capacity might just be enough for them to make the leap one day.
Rousey and Baszler look to be knocking on the door for a tag team title shot now, and that may come at WrestleMania 39. Should they get the opportunity, it would be the perfect place for the pairing to gain the tag team belts.
Rousey first appeared in a WWE ring at WrestleMania 31. She then competed at WrestleMania 34 where she paired with Kurt Angle to defeat Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in a mixed tag team match.
Along with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, Rousey was part of history at WrestleMania 35, as she was involved in the first-ever women’s main event at the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’. It was Lynch who won the triple threat match, but all three fighters showed they can be the biggest attraction in the brand.
Baszler also has experience featuring at WrestleMania. She lost in a singles match to Lynch at WrestleMania 36. The former NXT Champion was successful at WrestleMania 37 when, with her partner Nia Jax, they got the better of Natalya and Tamina to defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Although their partnership is working right now, Rousey and Baszler will still aspire to have individual success again in the WWE. Rousey is a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion, she has held the Raw Women’s Championship and she won the Royal Rumble in 2022.
The majority of Baszler’s success so far came with the NXT brand. She is a two-time winner of the NXT Women’s Championship, she has held the Women’s Tag Team Championship twice and she was the winner of the Women’s Elimination Chamber in 2020.
It is going to be exciting to see how far Rousey and Baszler go together in their partnership in the ring. The early signs point to a big future ahead.
