This looks like the largest crowd at the Bell Centre in a long time. Every section was packed. The crowd was super live all night.
There were some signs in the crowd but the funniest was "if Roman wins, we leave in a calm and orderly fashion"
There's LED lights on the Elimination Chamber that changed colors with everyone's entrance Not sure if it's noticeable on TV but I've never noticed it before. Also, with the Chamber, there was no big screen that's usually in the middle of the arena, which would have been nice to see the replays of big spots.
Women's Elimination Chamber Match:
Crowd was very into this. There was a "Let's go Nattie" chant early on. Super loud pop for Nikki's dive.
There were loud boos for Liv's elimination.
Carmella had the crowd very much against her. They booed everything she did. Crowd erupted for Asuka's win.
Lesnar-Lashley:
The crowd was very much behind Lesnar.
The ending was abrupt but they won everyone back with the Brock's F5 on the ref.
Tag team match:
Super loud pop for Edge and Beth. Crowd hated Dom. Loud F you Dominick chants. This trend would continue later in the night. Crowd loved the Shatter Machine finish.
Men's Elimination Chamber:
The match was so good I barely took notes. Loud reaction to Logan Paul. Mostly boos, some cheers, but very loud
Main event:
Everyone is standing. The building is electric, even before they made contact. F you Roman chants to start. Also a small F you Paul chant. Every single move got a reaction. Sami's headlock got loud cheers
There was a "Va chier, Roman" chant, which translates to, you guessed it, F you Roman
I couldn't really tell which Uso came in initially but figured it out when Jey came in.
Crowd was disappointed with the finish and you can feel the crowd deflate when Sami lost. KO's run-in kind of brought everyone back. Who wouldn't pop for a stunner on Paul Heyman? There was no post-match promo, Sami just waved to the crowd.
This was by far, the loudest and most fun show I've ever seen, having seen most WWE shows in Montreal since 1993. With just 5 matches, it felt very much like an WWE NXT Takeover from their glory years. While it would have been great to see the hometown boy win the big one, it was still a great, dramatic match and a memorable show.
