New Japan Pro Wrestling announced:
After a verbal altercation on Wrestling Observer Live Radio, a stipulation has been added to Eddie Kingston vs Jay White at Battle in the Valley Saturday- Loser Leaves NJPW.
Jay White guested on the broadcast to promote his match with Kingston in San Jose Saturday, but he struck an angry tone in the Mad King. Kingston called into the broadcast, leading the Switchblade to assume ‘you must be calling me to thank me for allowing you to wrestle one of your idols’.
Kingston barked back that White ‘should respect (his) elders,’ stating that he would be happy with beating White backstage, but wanted to make money in the process. Angered at White’s assertion that it was his status and resume that would make Kingston a ‘bucketload of money’ Saturday, Kingston retorted with an ultimatum.
‘How about we just finish it?’ Kingston suggested. ‘If- when I beat you, you never wrestle for New Japan again’. White accepted the stipulation, under the condition that should Kingston lose he too can never wrestle against NJPW competition again with out the Catalyst’s say-so.
Just one week after being forced out of Japan by Hikuleo, could Eddie Kingston see to it that the Switchblade never competes in an NJPW ring again? Or will it be Kingston who never again shows his brand of Fighting Spirit in the cerulean blue?
