AEW Dark Elevation Episode 101 Recap
Jericho Appreciation Society (Matt Menard & Angelo Parker) vs. The Boys (Brandon & Brent Tate)
The match begins with Menard backing one of The Boys into the corner before a clean break happens, Menard backs one of the Tate’s into the ropes so Parker can attack him from behind. Parker tags in and he attacks a cornered Tate before tearing away at his face, Menard tags back in and he lands some strikes on one of The Boys. The Boys fight back and a tag takes place before Menard is double teamed, Parker tags in and he gets double teamed as well. Menard makes a blind tag and he destroys one of The Boys with a lariat, Menard and Parker hit one of The Boys with a double DDT for a three count.
Winners: Jericho Appreciation Society (Matt Menard & Angelo Parker)
- “Smart” Mark Sterling, Tony Nese & Ari Daivari are interviewed backstage, Sterling talks about how well the ratings have been when his team competes. Sterling says the Blackpool Combat Club have been a thorn in his side for awhile now, Nese mocks Claudio Castagnoli’s body while Daivari says they have no chance tonight.
Juice Robinson vs. Jake Crist
The match begins with Robinson failing to jump Crist in the corner, Crist keeps Robinson in the corner while landing shoulder thrusts. Crist then hits Robinson with a middle rope forearm strike, Robinson propels Crist to the ring apron before eating a head kick. Crist then hits Robinson with a top rope high cross body for a near fall, Robinson blocks a kick from Crist before landing multiple jabs followed by the Left Hand From God. Robinson goes for a suplex and Crist counters with a roll up followed by a kick to the head, Crist then hits Robinson with a super kick. Robinson recovers to hit Crist with a flapjack followed by a side Russian leg sweep and a senton bomb, Robinson then hits Crist with the Juice Is Loose for a three count.
Winner: Juice Robinson
Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds & John Silver) vs. Renny D, Matt Brannigan & Crash Jaxon
The match begins with Silver applying a headlock to Brannigan, Brannigan gets free and Silver drops him with a shoulder tackle. Silver follows up by hitting Brannigan with a leaping European uppercut, Brannigan’s partners hit the ring to attack Silver and a brawl breaks out between both teams. Dark Order clears the ring before triple teaming Jaxon and knocking him out of the ring, Reynolds then lands a suicide dive on his opponents. Uno tags and Brannigan is hit with the Meat Hammer for a three count.
Winners: Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds & John Silver)
Yuka Sakazaki vs. Billie Starkz
The match begins with Sakazaki going after the arm of Starkz, Starkz gets free and she gets Sakazaki in a kravat. Sakazaki gets free and she takes Starkz down with a headlock, Starkz gets free and both competitors get back to their feet. Sakazaki misses a charge in the corner before booting Starkz in the face, Sakazaki then applies a hanging head scissors to Starkz. Sakazaki goes for a springboard move and Starkz trips her up before landing more kicks to her face, Starkz then hits Sakazaki with a swanton bomb on the ring apron. Sakazaki fights back and she nails Starkz with a modified 619, Sakazaki gets Starkz back in the ring before landing a missile drop kick for a near fall. Starkz fights back and she hits Sakazaki with a suplex for a near fall, Starkz traps Sakazaki in the corner while stomping away on her. Starkz follows up by hitting Sakazaki with a modified yoshigoroshi for a near fall, Sakazaki fights back and she hits Starkz with a head kick followed by a sliding lariat for a near fall.
Starkz gets up and Sakazaki nails her with some forearm strikes, Starkz fights back and she hits Sakazaki with a German suplex for a near fall. Starkz follows up with a swanton bomb on Sakazaki for another near fall, Sakazaki blocks a knee strike before finally eating one from Starkz. Sakazaki then drops Starkz with a Snow Plow, Sakazaki follows up with a Magical Girl Splash for a three count.
Winner: Yuka Sakazaki
- The Boys are interviewed backstage when Dark Order approaches, Evil Uno offers The Boys a change of scenery and he says The Boys would be a great fit for Dark Order. Uno offers The Boys a spot in Dark Order and hands them contracts before leaving, The Boys eat the contracts while walking away.
Orange Cassidy & Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Berretta) w/Danhausen vs. Zack Clayton & Chaos Project (Luther & Serpentico) w/Angelico
The match begins with Serpentico attacking Cassidy and Cassidy defends against a drop toe hold from Serpentico, Cassidy then hits Serpentico with an arm drag followed by a monkey flip. Taylor tags in and he picks up Serpentico before Cassidy shoves him down, Clayton tags in and he cracks Taylor with a few strikes. Clayton misses a charge in the corner and Taylor takes him down while working over his arm, Serpentico tags back in and Taylor goes after his arm. Beretta interferes and he attacks the arm of Serpentico while the ref was distracted, Beretta tags in and he allows Taylor to attack Serpentico while Danhausen distracts the ref. Taylor tags back in and he accidentally works the arm of Taylor following a reversal from Serpentico, Cassidy tags in and Clayton interferes to hit him with a clothesline. Clayton sends Cassidy out of the ring so Luther can hit him with a suplex on the arena floor, Clayton tags in and he eventually gets Cassidy in a bear hug.
Clayton releases Cassidy before accidentally hitting Serpentico and Luther with forearm strikes, Beretta tags in and he nails Clayton with a leaping clothesline. Beretta then hits Clayton with a leaping elbow followed by a tornado DDT, Taylor tags in and he works with Berretta to take out Luther and Serpentico. Cassidy tags in and he works with Best Friends to hit Clayton with a choke slam/power bomb combo for a three count.
Winners: Orange Cassidy & Best Friends (Chuck Taylor & Trent Berretta) w/Danhausen
After the match, Angelico confronts Orange Cassidy and Danhausen takes him out.
Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Corey Calhoun
The match begins with Hobbs sending Calhoun into the corner before landing shoulder thrusts to the midsection, Hobbs then drops Calhoun with a few hard Irish whips into the corners. Hobbs follows up by nailing Calhoun with a gut buster before dropping him on the top rope, Hobbs then hits Calhoun with a burning hammer for a three count.
Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs
The Butcher & The Blade w/The Bunny vs. Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin)
The match begins with The Butcher and The Blade jumping Top Flight before the bell sounds, Blade then corners Dante before landing some running chops. Butcher tags in and he cracks Dante with some strikes followed by a clothesline, Dante fights back and he nails Butcher with a head kick. Butcher recovers by slamming Dante and landing a knee drop for a near fall, Blade tags in and he chokes a cornered Dante. The Bunny interferes and she attacks Dante while the ref is distracted, Blade gets Dante in a seated position before kicking him in the back. Butcher tags in and Dante gets free before tagging Darius into the match, Darius quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Darius lands a splash on Blade for a near fall, Butcher returns and he eats a head kick from Dante. Darius then hits Blade with an assisted tornado DDT for a near fall, Dante tags in and Butcher drags him out of the ring before sending him into the ring steps. Blade then hits Darius with a knee strike followed by their finisher, Butcher sends Darius out of the ring before Dante gets Butcher out of the ring. Dante then hits Blade with a double jump moonsault for a three count.
Winners: Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin)
Diamante, Nyla Rose, Marina Shafir & Emi Sakura w/Vickie Guerrero vs. Madison Rayne, Skye Blue, Queen Aminata & Hyena Hera
The match begins with Rose nailing Blue with a back elbow strike, Blue fights back and she kicks Rose in the knee. Rose gets back up and she nails Blue with a cross body block for a near fall, Aminata and Shafir are tagged into the match. Aminata hits Shafir with a snap mare followed by a suplex, Blue tags back in and she sends Shafir into the corner before landing some strikes. Shafir fights back and she hits Blue with a pump handle fallaway slam, Sakura tags in and she corners Blue before landing a running cross body block. Diamante tags in and she nails Blue with multiple short arm clotheslines, Blue fights back and Diamante hits her with a release German suplex for a near fall. Blue fights back to hit Diamante with a knee strike followed by a super kick, Rayne tags in and she immediately goes after the newly legal Shafir. Rayne drops Shafir with a cutter for a near fall, Shafir fights back and she nails Rayne with a back suplex. Everybody from both teams hit the ring and they all take each other out, a bunch of competitors go to the arena floor before Blue and Rayne land suicide dives.
Rayne gets Shafir back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt, Hera tags in and Shafir immediately levels her. Rose tags in and she hits Hera with a Beast Bomb for a three count.
Winners: Diamante, Nyla Rose, Marina Shafir & Emi Sakura w/Vickie Guerrero
Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) vs. Tony Nese & Ari Daivari w/”Smart” Mark Sterling
The match begins with Nese getting Yuta in a headlock and Yuta gets free before Nese flexes, Castagnoli tags in and he mocks Nese before getting kicked in the midsection. Castagnoli quickly drops Nese before flexing his own muscles, Daivari tags in and Castagnoli goes after his arm. Castagnoli eats a chop before dropping Daivari with an European uppercut, Yuta tags in and he works with Castagnoli to double team Daivari for a near fall. Daivari backs Yuta into the ropes so Nese can hit him with a clothesline while the ref is distracted, Nese tags in and he stretches an upside down Yuta in the corner. Nese follows up by nailing Yuta with a back elbow smash, Daivari tags back in and he double teams a cornered Yuta alongside Nese. Daivari misses an avalanche attempt before Nese accidentally hits him with a clothesline, Castagnoli and Nese are tagged into the match. Castagnoli immediately starts cleaning house against the opposing team, Castagnoli then hits Nese with a drop kick for a near fall.
Daivari hits the ring and Yuta goes after him before getting sent to the arena floor, Castagnoli returns and he knocks Daivari out of the ring. Castagnoli sets up for the big swing and Sterling distracts the ref before getting booted by Castagnoli, Nese drops Castagnoli before landing a 450 splash for a near fall. Daivari tags in and Yuta drags him out of the ring, Yuta then hits Nese with an assisted tornado DDT. Castagnoli drops a leaping Daivari before tagging Yuta in, Yuta then hits a swinging Daivari with a drop kick for a three count.
