How do you feel about the reports WBD didn't allow AEW to have a larger segment honoring Jay Briscoe?

Even before the show aired, there was a vibe from backstage at the AEW taping that there wasn't going to be much allowed regarding Briscoe's passing on the show.  Dave Scherer and I noted that afternoon on The We Don't Need No Stinkin' Name Show that AEW would do everything they could to honor and assist the Briscoe family and on screen, whatever they did would likely be in direct correlation with what WBD allowed them to do.

Before I go further, I want to say that what is important is that any energy and good hopes are sent to Jay's daughters and the rest of his family.  That said, whoever at WBD that decreed the promotion couldn't do something classy for someone that was so important to so many people who perform on their network every week should be ashamed of themselves.  They have zero issue with celebrating the Harry Potter property when JK Rowling has certainly stated some evil things on her social media.

They didn't want The Briscoes on their TV Network?  OK, fine, but to prevent, in any way, shape or form, Jay Briscoe's friends from paying tribute to him is pretty damn disgusting and hypocritical - especially when the show that followed AEW was Dana White, who was JUST CAUGHT ON CAMERA SLAPPING HIS WIFE, talking about slapping the sh** out of people on his Slapfight show, not to mention that the company has never come out against The Flash star Ezra Miller for all of the issues they've had publicly over the last year, including being caught on video physically going after a young woman outside a bar and recently coming to a criminal plea deal over a burglary.  These were real life incidents, not something in cyberspace.

I understand that some of these issues were things Discovery inherited when they took over Warner Bros, but it's not like they've come down hard (or at all) on those issues, but Jay Briscoe's tweets from a decade go, when he had apologized, educated himself, donated money, privately took sensitivity classes and went out of his way all the time to show his support for the LBGTQ+ community members who performed in professional wrestling  continued to be an issue, even after he tragically died?

All of that tells me that if it was anyone but a professional wrestler, it wouldn't have been an issue and it makes me wonder whether they will now block Mark Briscoe - who never, ever did ANYTHING questionable - from appearing on AEW programming if and when he decides to return to pro wrestling.  The entire thing is stupid and sad and infuriating to me and if WBD wants to make it right, they can AND SHOULD go donate to the fundraising for the Briscoe family.  In fact, I challenge them follow Jay Briscoe's lead and do the right thing, which is what Jay did when he messed up - and WBD certainly messed up by offending a lot of people who cared about Jay and were hurting in the wake of his passing.

Has there been any reaction from WWE or AEW to MLW getting on REELZ?

Nothing that I have heard.  It will certainly be on their radar, especially if it starts to build an audience.

Is it true Summer Rae was at AEW this week?

Yes, I am told she was there visiting this past Wednesday.

Is Young Rock renewed for another season?  I feel like this year hasn't been very strong.

I've thought the show has been OK this season, although I feel like the casting was much better when it was being filmed in Australia.  I haven't heard anything about it being picked up yet for a third season and I really have to wonder why NBC took what was their #1 comedy and killed its audience by shifting it to Fridays at 8:30 PM.

Do you think FTR are going back to WWE?

I don't think they even know that.  I think they have to have concern about whether Vince McMahon would be back in charge of their creative again.  If I was them, if they wanted to go back to WWE, I'd have a contingency in their deal that if Paul Levesque is removed from head of creative, they have an out to exit ASAP.  If they can't get that, I don't see why they'd even think about exiting AEW, as with just the three Briscoe matches alone, gave them a far better stage to showcase themselves, and that's not including all the international dates and titles they had an opportunity to be involved in.
