I've never shared this much, but the nickname "Sandals" i have came from Jay Briscoe. 2009 in Philly, for ROH TV, I showed up to the Arena in the winter wearing sandals. The dojo ref has a nickname based on an article of clothing so Jay gave me "Sandals" as a nickname. RIP, Jay
