Part of what sparks the excitement for this year’s WWE Elimination Chamber is the host country. These fights usually take place in the US, although Saudi Arabia was the host in 2022. However, it’s the first year Canada will have the honor of being the host country for this specific event.
Canada has hosted other WWE premium live events in the past, but the last one was 14 years ago. That took place in 2009 when Canada helped organize Breaking Point. It will be interesting to see how a different country’s environment impacts the event and the fighters’ performance.
For this premium event, organizers picked the Bell Centre in Montreal. This is a popular multi-purpose arena that is often used for sports events of this caliber. It’s also home to the hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens.
The venue has a capacity of just over 21,000 when configured for hockey, and it’s known as one of the busiest arenas, not only in Canada but in the world. This should give fans peace of mind that the Bell Centre team has what it takes to pull off a successful WWE event too.
Thanks to the venue being connected to both Central Station and the Underground City, fans can easily reach it.
Adding to the buzz around this event is the fact that other events related to this sports niche will take place in the same area. Firstly there’s an episode of Friday Night SmackDown that will be hosted in the same venue and aired live. This will happen the day before, on 17 February.
Furthermore, fans may enjoy the chance to see the UNDERTAKER 1 deadMAN SHOW. Also happening in Montreal, you can attend this show on 16 February. During this event, The Undertaker shares stories related to his career, and audience members can ask questions. If you get your hands on a VIP ticket, you can even meet him in person.
WWE fans who want to be close to the action have various options in terms of tickets. You can book your place for the Elimination Chamber event only, but combo tickets are available if you want to be in the Friday Night SmackDown audience too.
