Alex tells Kevin that he picked the right time to come back and Alex mentions JR Kratos. Kevin freaks out at the mention of Kratos’ name. Kevin says the Strong Survivor Match will determine the number one contender for Battle in the Valley.
Match Number One: Alan Angels and Hikuleo versus Jay White and El Phantasmo
Before the match starts, neither White nor Phantasmo want to get in the ring with Hikuleo. They both go to the floor and then they get back into the ring, they say they want Alan and he starts the match. The referee rings the bell to start the match and White argues with Phantasmo over who should start so they play rock, paper, scissors.
White turns around and Angels slaps him. Angels with a side head lock and he rolls through when White tries to send him off the ropes. Angels with a drop kick. Phantasmo with a kick and Irish whip. Phantasmo goes to the floor when Angels moves. Angels with a cross body to White for a near fall. Angels with a boot and he tags in Hikuleo. Hikuleo with a chop. Phantasmo tells White he has things under control from the floor. White with forearms. Hikuleo with a slam. Angels tags in and Angels with a slam. Angels with a punch and he punches White on the turnbuckles. Angels with a chop and he tries for a Northern Lights suplex but White blocks it and White suplexes Angels into the turnbuckles.
Phantasmo slams Hikuleo’s face into the stage. White with a slam to Angels. Phantasmo tags in and he does a series of cartwheels and rolls before giving Angels a back rake. Phantasmo gets a near fall. White tags in and White with a slam. White with chops to Angels. White with an Irish whip and chop to Angels. Phantasmo tags in and he grabs Angels’ nipple and then he goes for both of them and backs Angels into the corner. Phantasmo gets Angels up for an airplane spin but Angels with an Asai DDT.
White tags in and he keeps Angels from making the save. Angels kicks White away and he tags in Hikuleo. Hikuleo with a shoulder to White and a boot to Phantasmo. Hikuleo with a splash to White and then he goes for a slam but White gets to his feet. Hikuleo with snake eyes and a clothesline for a near fall. Hikuleo gets White on his shoulders but White rakes the eyes and Phantasmo tags in. Hikuleo with a chop. Hikuleo with a power slam to White and then he goes for a a choke slam but Phantasmo interferes. White clips Hikuleo when Hikuleo goes for a choke slam on Phantasmo. Angels with a slingshot drop kick to Phantasmo and a suicide dive to White. Angels with a La Mistica into a crossface. Angels rolls Phantasmo into the center of the ring. White breaks up the submission hold. White drops down and Hikuleo goes over the top rope to the floor. White is sent to the floor. Angels goes for a quebrada but Phantasmo with a super kick.
Phantasmo with a Burning Hammer for the three count.
Winners: El Phantasmo and Jay White
Jeff Cobb tells Bad Dude Tito that he is trying to make a name for himself off Jeff Cobb and United Empire. I remember when you came to Japan. You didn’t make your name in Japan. You are number seven in TMDK. I was number three in that group. You will not make your name off me. You are not a bad dude. I will throw you all over the ring.
Match Number Two: Strong Survivor Match for a Future NJPW Strong Championship Match
The match starts and everyone pairs off. Kratos stays outside to watch everything before entering the ring. Yuta sends Quest into the turnbuckles. Rosas chops Misterioso. DKC with chops to Daniels. Misterioso stops Christian from sending him over the top rope. Knight punches Bateman and so does Rosas. Bateman with a forearm to Quest. KENTA with forearms to Romero while Rosas is eliminated. Cody is sent to the apron by Misterioso and Misterioso eliminates him with a kick. Dorada super kicks Nelson off the apron to eliminate him. Kratos chops Quest and connects with a forearm. Romero and Bateman exchange forearms with Bateman sending Romero to the apron. They exchange foerarms. Bateman bites the hand and knocks Romero off the apron with a double thrust. Cabrera punches Bateman and head butts him. Christian gets on the ropes while Cabrera is on the apron and then he pulls at the straps and snaps them into him to eliminate Tito. Kratos throws Misterioso over the top rope to the floor. Yuta punches Dorada and Yuta sends Dorada to the apron. Dorada with an enzuigiri from the apron and he goes for a springboard move but Yuta drop kicks Dorada to the floor to eliminate him.
Young with forearms to Yuta and Yuta fires back. Yuta eliminates Young. Quest with forearms to KENTA and kicks in the corner. Kratos with forearms to Yuta while Bateman punches Christian. Bateman punches Kratos and then DKC punches Kratos with Bateman and Quest joining in. Kratos with punches to all three men. Kratos with a splash to Daniels and KENTA followed by a clothesline to Daniels.
Kratos with a splash to Yuta and then a flying forearm to Christian. DKC charges at Kratos but Kratos sends him to the mat. Quest with punches but Kratos with a power slam. Kratos sends Quest over the top rope to eliminate him. Kratos punches Bateman and then clotheslines him over the top rope to eliminate him. Kratos tries to send Daniels over the top rope but he holds on to the ropes. Christian, Yuta, and KENTA grab Kratos and send him over the top rope to eliminate him, while Daniels returns to the ring and back into the match. Kratos gets back onto the apron and Yuta tells him to leave, along with KENTA and Christian. DKC sends Daniels over the top rope but no one saw it due to the Kratos situation. Daniels sends DKC over the top rope to eliminate him.
DKC claims that Daniels was already eliminated, but the multiple referees at ringside didn’t see it.
Your Final Four Participants are Christopher Daniels, KENTA, Blake Christian, and Wheeler Yuta. The match moves from a Battle Royal to a standard elimination match.
Daniels and Christian exchange punches while KENTA and Yuta exchange punches and forearms. Daniels with a knee and forearm to Blake. Blake with a springboard round kick and a clothesline. Christian stumbles slightly on the rope before hitting a quebrada on Daniels. KENTA with a forearm to Blake. Yuta with a waist lock on KENTA but KENTA with an elbow. Yuta floats over and slams KENTA followed by a back senton. Yuta with a slam to Daniels but he lands on Daniels’ knees on a back senton. Daniels with an STO to Yuta followed by elbows. KENTA with a discus clothesline to Yuta. Blake with a shoulder to KENTA and a kick to Daniels. Blake with a springboard double drop kick and a clothesline to Daniels. Blakke with flying clotheslines to KENTA and Daniels. Blake kicks KENTA and then hits a German suplex on Daniels.
Blake with a Spanish Fly to KENTA and he goes up top. Daniels pulls KENTA out of the way and Blake with a shoulder to Daniels in the corner. Blake punches Daniels and Irish whips him. Blake misses a shoulder in the corner and hits the turnbuckle pad. Daniels with a cover and his feet on the ropes to eliminate Christian.
Daniels talks to KENTA about working together against Yuta. Yuta with punches to both men. KENTA with a boot to Yuta and Daniels with more kicks. Daniels with a head butt and KENTA with punches. Daniels and KENTA with more kicks. Daniels with an elbow to Yuta followed by a punch. KENTA kicks Yuta while Daniels holds Yuta. KENTA returns the favor and Daniels punches Yuta. Daniels with a punch and KENTA with punches. Daniels rakes the eyes and follows with a leg lariat. KENTA with a knee to Yuta’s midsection. Daniels tells KENTA he has this but Yuta with forearms and chops. Daniels with an exploder. KENTA and Daniels have some words about strategy and Daniels pushes KENTA. Daniels apologizes and then he hits KENTA from behind. Daniels with a belly-to-back suplex to KENTA.
Daniels sets for Angel’s Wings on KENTA but KENTA gets Daniels up. Daniels with elbows. KETNA with strikes and a back fist to Daniels. Yuta with a double clothesline. Yuta with a reverse atomic drop and enzuigiri to Daniels followed by one to KENTA. Yuta with an elbow to Daniels and a clothesline to KENTA> Yuta with a double missile drop kick. Yuta with forearms to Daniels and KENTA. Daniels with a kick to Yuta and Yuta with a suicide dive onto KENTA. Yuta with a shoulder from the apron and he goes for a sunset flip but Daniels holds on to the ropes but Daniels can only get a near fall. Daniels with an elbow and Yuta with a German suplex for the three count to eliminate Daniels.
KENTA with a drop kick and both men are down. KENTA gets Yuta on his shoulders but Yuta escapes. Yuta and KENTA with waist locks and standing switches. Yuta with a rollup for a near fal. KENTA gets a near fall and then hits Go 2 Sleep for the three count.
Winner: KENTA
