Beyond Wrestling “Heavy Lies the Crown ‘22” 

Wrestival Day 3 8pm

12/31/22 Worcester, MA

We have made it! The Wrestival and this damn year close out here, at the World Famous White Eagle! We have a bunch of wild matches on the card tonight but we will be notably ringing the new year by ringing the bell on the annual Fans Bring the Weapons match, this year between Alec Price & B3CCA. 

We seem to be in a YouTube Preshow and Sam Laterna is hosting the ceremonies.

Match 1: Trish Adora vs Jody Threat

We are HOT FOR COMBAT still! Let’s goooooooo!!!!! Respectful handshake. This is definitely a clash of styles. Jody trying to power through the lockup. Trish with the quick pin attempts. Trish tries to hold the lock up but Jody picks her up and slams her back. Trish realizes she’s in a FIGHT and not a contest. Jody with a spear! F5! Kickout! Jody chugs a beer and have the fuel she needs to fly in with the double knees! Torture rack spinout bomb from Threat and she picks up the win over the Afropunk. Good opener!

Match 2: “World Ass” Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella) vs Fancy Ryan Clancy

Say what we will about Channing Thomas, I can’t behind the body shaming I’m hearing behind me? Clancy quickly gets one over on World clASS and Channing haaaaaaaaates it. Channing with a shoulder block. Clancy with the high cross body! Channing hot shots him. Thomas working over the fancy one with suplexes and the crowd haaaates him. Clancy fighting back, Channing trying a cheap rollup. Bakabella distracts the ref. Channing tries the piledriver! Fancy escapes! Gutwrench bomb! Clancy to the top! Bakabella tosses him off. Noooooo! Channing hits the piledriver and Channing wins dammit.

Winner: Channing Thomas

Alec Price cannot beat Channing Thomas next week in a 60-min iron match match! 

It’s not time for LMK’s Bachelorette party?!? Teddy Goodz and LMK are here. Is LMK taking Love Doug’s proposal seriously??? Both teams are out here! Is this a party or a match??? It IS a match! LMK is the bride to be?!?

Match 3: Teddy Goodz & LMK vs The Flirtation (Love Doug & his Tender Weapon) 

Doug wants a smooch? LMK says she’s waiting for marriage. Teddy is defending LMK’s honor against the cupid. She’s ready now to fight his tender weapon. We have a test of love?!? What a shocking development! Tender weapon is too sexy and LMK has to scream that she’s engaged. She bites at his ankles instead. Gutwrench toss from TW but LMK dodges the double knees. Doug tags in and we get the prom pose. Double prom pose! Tender weapon grabs a camera and he’s doing a kiss cam? He demands to kiss Teddy. Good fights the camera off him. LMK with the running stomps and Flavor Bomb. She chokes out Doug on the floor with her bridal sash. Doug still wants a new year kiss. She slaps him! Doug with the rebound lariat and the pin! Doug leaves her with the engagement ring. 

Winner: The Flirtation

Match 4: Ryan Galeone vs Gabriel Skye

ALRIGHT! Skye decides to swing for the fences on Ryan. Hah no. He decks Gabe. He goes for the GODDAMNED THING! Gabe cuts it off! Dive to the outside. He comes off the top? Ryan catches him with a one hand press slam! Gabe still fighting! Tornado ddt for two! Skye kicking higher than Galeone is tall! High knee! One hand spinebuster! Gabe is brawling still! Shotguns to the corner! Running enziguri! Butterfly German for two!!!! This is awesome. Gabe keeps cutting off that rope walk. Galeone wants it. He pushes off a head scissor and hits the goddamned thing of the ropes!!!! It’s a huge hit and Skye is folded up for the three! Aweeeeesome sprint!

Match 5: Dan Barry vs Aaron Rourke

Rourke is all attitude and Dan Barry, our favorite wrestler, just picks the leg and puts the dime piece on his butt piece. Dan is unloading. Cannonball! Kick out! Dan caught on the ropes and Rourke stomps through him. Rourke with a toss from the toss and punches through from

Full mount. Dan very quickly dodges a handspring. Dragon suplex! Dan throwing elbows! Back body toss! Suicide dive to the front rows! Kneesault back into the ring! Rourke doesn’t wanna get superplexed…too bad. Falcon arrow! Kickout! Rourke fights off an Alabama slam…destroyer! Rourke with a double stomp off the top…kick out! Dan with a club to the back of the head. Rourke tries a big smooch but Dan kisses him back. Fireman’s carry. Rourke rakes the eyes. Stuff ddt to Dan and that closes it out. Rourke is allllllll over us for booing him. 

Winner: Aaron Rourke

We appear to be transitioning to the IWTV portion of the show but there’s not break here. We’re just going for it. I’m so drunk on wrestling now that I’m just going for it. Delightful.

Match 6: Ichiban vs Anthony Henry

I am so worried for Ichiban after seeing Anthony Henry kick the bell out of three shows worth of opponents this weekend. Ichiban does waste time and dives right out at Henry. High cross body for two! Henry crotches him on the top buckle. Uh oh. Ichiban blocks a superplex to the floor…Henry kicks him out of the air…apron piledriver! Ichiban makes it back in 9 one’s. Henry uncorks some of his soul clearing kicks. Jesus. Ichiban trying to come back. He goes for the flatliner but gets kicked out of the air again. Henry catches a tornado ddt….but Ichiban keeps the pressure on and hits it! Dive into the front row! Elbow drop…Henry reverses to a crossface! Roll through back suplex! Brain buster! Kick out! Number onnnnnnnnneeeee! Ichiban fighting the cross face again. He wants a heatseeker? Ichiban flips through….Henry catches him, press slam to a kick. Henry setting up a piledriver…Ichiban flips to a jackknife pin! He gets him!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s time to do some IWTV awards! 

2022 Wrestler of the Year…we have a tie! Speedball Mike Bailey AND The Prize Alec Price!!!! Price is shocked that it was a tie! This was HIS FRICKIN YEAR. Can we get Price v Speedball? But that’s down the road. Tonight, he’s coming for Becca’s head. But he’s also thinking about being the best…and beating the best…and right now, that’s MATT TREMONT! Heeeeeere we go!

Match 7: Uptown Andy Brown vs Eel O’Neal

Whaaaat?!? How did I miss this?! Brown tries to be a bully but Eel unloads. Fight to the outside, Eel eats a post. Oh no! Brown gets into it on the outside with his old tag partner Brooke Valentine. Eel recovers and just drops him on the apron. Eel working the knee hard, driving it into the mat over and over. STF! Brown thinks he’s gonna kill it but runs into an ankle lock! Eel drops it back! Andy taps out!!!!!

Winner: Eel O’Neal

Award time! The 2022 Match of the Year! Sadie’s vs Mickie Knuckles vs SHLAK & Krule. Hit Krule’s music!!!!! Oh…it’s Adam Priest. He puts over Krule and says Book Me Danny! (If he wants the plaque).

Match 8: Rex Lawless vs Big Bacon Brad Hollister

Is Bacon nursing his ribs? Bacon is too hot for these ropes. Rex knocks him down hard. Bacon is talking trash and has no ability to back it up. Huge slam out of the corner. Rex got for a dive but Bacon hits an uppercut and senton. Oh yeah he hurting. The crowd is alllllll over Bacon. I might be losing my voice. F*** it. I only have to record vocals for the next DNA’s Evolution album next week. lol. Anyways Rex is just unloading the clip on bacon. Brad hits the deadlift jackhammer! Kick out! Rex with the chokebomb! Kick out! Bacon tells Rex to tell Willow he said hi. Oh shiiiiiiiiiii- Superplex from Bacon. Rex is wrecked. 

Winner: Brad Hollister

Match 9: Davey Richards vs Hot Sauce Tracy WIlliams 

I see we’re playing chess tonight! Sauce wants that octopus hold but Richards is a Pro, dammit! These guys transition through a bunch of holds and start smacking the everloving f*** out of each other. This is exactly the match I hoped for. Davey with a dragon screw on the apron. He misses a howling double stomp. Trailer hitch! Hot sauce gets the rope! He tries to escape a suplex but his knee is shot. Tracy with the top buckle ddt! STF! Davey gets the rope to our dismay. We love Davey…but we love hot sauce more. Fighting over a piledriver…Davey with a double stomp. PK from a Davey and a brain buster! Davey posts himself, Sauce with the STF again! Davey taps! 

Winner: Tracy Williams  

Match 10: WARHORSE vs Bobby Orlando

Horse vs Goat? Let’s gooooooo! WARHORSE doesn’t seem to understand our love for our Mom. Bobby tries a Warrior rope shake and Warhorse is unimpressed. Bobby dabs? Warhorse sure does hate that. Bobby wants a sick trick? Walk off. Warhorse attacks Bobby Junior! He swings his fromHis belt and throws our favorite goat into the crowd. Bobby is understandably furious and Warhorse clearly does not understand why he just f***ed up with Worcester. Sick trick cutter. Orlando with the suicide dive! I’ve been told Anthony Greene is giving CPR to Bobby Junior. He will be fine. Warhorse goes his lariat but Bobby hits a cross body onto the ropes! The crowd accuses Warhorse of loving St. Anger. Omgggggg. Warhorse gets the sharpshooter! Please don’t tap! Mom’s out! Mom hits the sunset flip bomb! Sick trick cutter! Bobby gets the pin!!!!!! This was an unexpected joy of a match.

Winner: Bobby Orlando

Match 11: Willow Nightingale vs LuFisto

Let’s gooooooooooooooooooo! A generational clash of legend and potential legend of the indie women’s scene. LuFisto doesn’t need our love and makes sure we know that. She’s unloading on Willow but nightingale is more than ready for her idol tonight. Hard crossbody and suplex! Willlow’s trying a German, LuFisto hits a crossbody into the rope. A previously split crowd is VERY in Willow’s corner tonight. LuFisto just smashes Willow’s leg into the post over and over. She takes a seat on the crowd and watches Willow writhe in pain. Hard chops trading! LuFisto kicks out the leg! Willow is hobbled but still throwing hands. LuFisto just tearing Willow apart and stretching her but the crowd is still with this. Willow with the cannonball. Kick out! Side Russian! Willow dropping bombs to the face! Superkick! LuFisto dodges a shotgun and wraps up the legs. Willlow to the ropes. LuFisto posts herself! Powerbomb from Willow! LuFisto gets the rope! LuFisto still trying…Willow blocks a pedigree! Powerbomb!!!!!! LuFisto stays down!!!

Winner: Willow Nightingale

 

Match 12: Miracle Generation (Dustin Waller & Kylon King) vs Violence is Forever (Kevin Ku & Dominic Garrini) 

ViF carry out a limp Dustin Waller during their entrance! WTAF?!? Kylon King runs out to save him. What’s happening?!? Kylon is gonna fight this as a 2:1?!? Maniac! This is so intense Tef Gina lost her shoe! Ku wants to end this fast but Kylon is game for this fight. The crowd has NO love for the 3-time IWTV award winning tag team of the year. Kylon is doing his damndest to stay in this but ViF is just torturing Kylon. This is champion behavior clearly. I have thrown my Love for ViF right out the window because F*** THEM right now at this exact moment in time! Kylon is starting to fire back! ViF has no good answer for this. High angle German! ViF can’t stop the flurry but they can stop the pin falls. Kylon with a double northern lights and almost gets it. Kylon will not die. Kylon catches Ku on the top! Superplex! Kylon misses a

Moonsault. Chasing the Dragon! Kylon kicks out!!! Dustin Waller is out here! The refs are trying to stop him! Ichiban is trying to stop him. He pushes Dustin to the back! Kylon almost gets the roll up! Slugfest with both members of ViF. This doesn’t work and ViF hits Chasing the Dragon one more time to win the handicap match. Because that’s what this was….but it was also INCREDIBLE. Kylon had a star making performance in this match. 2023 looks so bright for him. 

Winners (and inaugural IWTV Tag Team Champs): Violence. Is. Forever. 

Now….We do NOT like this. ViF has also won the IWTV tag team of the year again. They decide to call out FTR. F*** that, try beating your previous opponents in a fair fight? Also, hey a***holes who threw a drink at them: Booing is fine but drenching the other side of the ring is crossing the line. 

Match 13: Max Caster vs JD Drake

Scissor vs Slap? One of these things is an attack. Max has bars? So does Drake! We wants these bars? Max decides we shouldn’t. JD just gets him nice and close…and takes him to Chop City. Max with arm drags and takes the big man over. JD drags Max to the floor and almost out the doors of the White Eagle. F*** it let’s fight through the crowd. We blow through a whole bunch of chairs. We might owe the Eagle some new chairs: uh oH. Max brings JD in for a figure four. Drake is out, he wants the uranage…blocked. Max hits a DVD! He goes for the mic drop? Drake with a stunner! Drake misses a cannonball! Max with a famouser! Kick out! Max unloading with kicks. Max blasts JD with the AEW tag belt but he don’t stay down. Figure four? Drake won’t keep his shoulders down. He flips the hold! Max has to scramble for the ropes! Drill Bit! Big man moonsault! Kick out! Max goes for the belt again. Drake steps on it. Lays it out..the ref removes it and Max kicks him in the junk. Dropkick! Mic drop! Drake is done. Boooooooo!

Winner: Max Caster

Match 14: Atticus Cogar vs SLADE (thumbtack match)

In addition to thumbtacks, we have a lot of cinder blocks. Uh oh. I’m see we’re doing murder tonight. F*** this corner, I don’t wanna get hit with cinder blocks. We have tack covered bricks?!? I know those bricks! That’s a lot of tacks. SLADE thrown into the blocks! We have a monkey wrench covered in tacks? SLADE is getting pummeled. Cogar is going to WORK. This is another day at the office for the silver teeth satan. SLADE with a powerslam onto the inverted can. Chokeslam? Cogar got the skewers! SLADE no sells! Chokeslam into the tacks! Kick out! That sequence ruled. SLADE is setting up blocks. It’s murder time? Headlock driver into the cinder blocks! Skewered! He wraps a cord around SLADE’s throat, falls back and continues stabbing at the forehead until the ref calls this off. Hot damn.

Winner: Atticus Cogar

It’s time for IWTV Moment of the Year…who wins? Kasey Catal wins the American Deathmatch Championship. Adam Priest is out to accept this award on behalf of Kasey and ICW NHB. He does admit he’s holding onto these awards and will take them home to Alabama until he gets booked by Danny Demanto. 

Main Event: Alec Price vs B3CCA (Fans Bring the  Weapons) 

Price is swinging a bat as we hit the new year bell! Price goes for an early Suprize. Becca blasts him on the head with a cookie sheet. Brawling through the crowd. Price blasts her with the bat! Alec back with a a Minecraft pickaxe. We give B3CCA her own stetson spelling exercise. Becca doesn’t use our weapons and starts destroying the weapons. Why would she bring us joy? Shining wizard! Two! Price fighting back on the outside! Dropkick off the post! Price punches a Baby wearing thumbtack sunglasses through Becca’s face. We’re fighting off towards the stage but Becca runs him back to ring! Stomping out the Prize! She beats and chokes the life out of Alec with a shoe flail! Dropkick into a garbage can lid! She’s coming off the top? Price blasts her with a can lid and dives through the ropes! Dragon suplex! Powerbomb from price! Back elbow from Becca. Price with a slingshot cutter! We got a cup board! It’s a stickup? Enziguri! Becca F5’s Price into the cups!!!!!! We got a bloody chair! We are going through alllll the plunder! Becca seated….she trips him into the chair! She tries a curb stomp…Price over the chair! Air raid crash into the chair. It’s stays up!!!!! Owwwwww!!!! Price has a thumbtack hockey stick…he misses and we’re Blasted with tacks! Becca has a thumbtack microphone! Price gets a mouthful. Noooooo! Becca is singing into it?!? Yakuza kick to the back of the head! Germans! Price is a lump! Kick out! Crowd is chanting hard for both! Alec is foaming at the mouth. We got a legit table! Price getting whipped with the mic cord. Becca’s gonna put him through the table? No! Fighting over the table but Becca Lays him out with a spin kick!! Becca misses a 450! She’s crawling but blocks the Surprize kick. She begs to her feet. Price kisses her on the forehead before hitting a running tombstone into a chair for the win! That’s my Ace!!!! We find out Price has ALSO won the IWTV Breakout Star of the Year award! This was an insane 25 minutes of ridiculous carnage.

With this win and this next award? He wants the best. Price wants Matt Tremont. He wants the belt. Give him the belt. And that’s it for Heavy Lies the Crown AND the Wrestival as a whole. Absolutely wild night of wrestling, absolutely wild weekend of wrestling. I am both completely exhausted from everything we did this weekend but so excited for everything yet to come. Whether it’s Beyond, Wrestling Open, IWTV or the many promotions under its umbrella…indie wrestling is alive and well in Worcester…and across the country. This was an absolutely nuts weekend and I’m overtired but I just feel so good about everything that happened. The wrestle mania has take hold and it’s not letting go.
