Pro Wrestling Grind “All We Are”

Wrestival Day 3 12pm

12/31/22 Worcester, MA

It’s Day 3! The wrestle MANIA is setting in. We have three hot shows on the books to close this crazy weekend out. The mood lights are out as we’re working the room dimly tonight. Grind has even brought their cool custom entryway. It’s very old school, wooden doors with smoke behind them. It’s super cool looking. We have boxing style corner pads instead of buckles. We have steel barricades! Ethan Scott is our announcer. Let’s goooooo!

Match 1: “Iron” Rip Byson vs Gary Jay

These first matchups of the day have been really good this weekend. This is hard hitting right from the getgo. Rip to the floor, Gary follows and get bombed into the steel. Owwwww. Jay chopping up Byson back in the ring. Hard chops and stomps from the stiff Robo ginger. Byson firing back with a big boot and chokeslam! Kick out! Gary tries a rollup but Rip powers out. Rip ripcords to a lariat! Gary’s inside out but kicks out. Rip going for a superplex? Gary transitions to a spike ddt! Kick out! Trading hard forearms back and forth! Jay slips an X factor and blasts a stiff punch to the head that flattens Rip for the win! Awesome fight!

Match 2: Perry Von Vicious vs WARHORSE

Warhorse wants to snap into the human monster truck but he cant overpower the big man. Perry with a headbutt but that doesn’t work on the heavy metal man. Perry tossed to the floor and barely makes the count back. Warhorse with a double chop to the head. vicious is staggered and Warhorse hot shots him on the steel. Warhorse is more than happy to take the count out but Perry wants stay down and out. Double stomp to the back as Perry rolls in! Kick out! Shoulder block from Perry! Spinning powerslam! Kick out! Perry comes running on a flying back elbow! Top rope elbow! Perry kicks out! Sharp shooter! Perry rolls it up…kick out! Perry with a Jawbreaker! Big boot! Warhorse blocks the Perry go round….sharpshooter applied! Perry gets the rope! Knee to the gut! Powerbomb! Perry go round! Warhorse is donnnnnnne!!! Good warrior forearm of celebration between these combatants post match!

Match 3: Emi Sakura vs Delmi Exo

It’s a Queen fight! Emi is getting right into the god Queen’s head by not engaging. Emi powers Exo down…Delmi bridges and won’t break down. Sakura drags her across the ropes. She gets leverage and pulls the hair. Hard thudding chops. Emi is just torturing Exo with her veteran skills. Exo with a rebound to a shotgun dropkick and ties up the ankle. Emi with a Freddie mercury like call and respond before she holds Exo up in a reverse surfboard. Sakura drinking the invisible tea on the back of Delmi. A true queen. Exo fighting back hard and throwing forearms. Big punch drops Emi! Perfect plex! Emi kicks out! Shotgun dropkick! Kick out! She’s trying a package piledriver…Emi back body drops out! Chops and a running corner cross body! Both women struggling…Delmi hits a bulldog but can’t capitalize. Hard thudding chops as they get back to the feet. Emi with a dragon sleeper..:Delmi is going to sleep? The arm is up! Emi with a swinging facebuster! She misses a moonsault! Exo charging into the corner…electric chair…she hits an ocean cyclone  suplex!!!! Emi kicks out! Delmi is frustrated as all hell. Sakura throwing hands. Exo kicking out. Emi with a delay Butterfly backbreaker puts Delmi down. This was something SPECIAL. I’ve been watching Delmi work and grow for YEARS and it’s clearly that she’s gone into a whole new gear as she went toe to toe with Sakura. Great match. Really loved this.

Match 4: Violence is Forever (Kevin Ku & Dominic Garrini) vs The Mane Event (Midas Black & Jay Lyon) 

Letssssssaagoooooooooooo! Midas and Ku kicking this tag clash off. Midas getting the early advantage to get Lyon in there for the double stomp/moonsault combo. Stomp through the arm! Ku escapes, big Dom is in and Midas is feeling the violence. Hard chops and thudding kicks. Ku takes Lyon off the apron and Midas can’t get away. Double down, slow tag to Lyon! Dom dropkicked off the apron! Flurry of chops to Ku! Get the Lion ring! Suicide dive through the ring into Dom! The barricade goes flying back into the fans! Wild. Lyon with the spinning uranage to Ku…kick out! Lyon caught up on the ropes, Dom takes out Midas who scrambles to the top for a splash after Lyon eats a total elimination. Everyone throwing a flurry of hard shots, great sequence! Midas and Dom left throwing hands! Dom left standing and but Lyon rebounds with a throwing knife! Sunset flip moonsault to Ku! The kickout is realllllly close! ViF with a lungblower/lariAt combo! Chasing the Dr—Lyon escapes! Ku set up….Grand Final—-No! Ku with a ddt to Midas and traps Lyons legs back for the three! Awesome clash!

Match 5: Ryan Mooney vs Anthony Henry

Mooney is the rabid honey badger but Anthony Henry is ready to put another young man through the pain wringer. Henry takes a walk on the floor and Mooney Suicides right out and blasts Henry into the barricade. Mooney swept off the top rope, back drop onto the exposed metal of the corner! No buckles to save you there. Hard spine kick. Henry with the cloverleaf surfboard. Mooney is getting all this work. Spinning backbreaker! Mooney trying to throws chops or anything that will do damage at all. Henry just wraps up a gory special…Mooney with the arm drag escape….and Henry catches him right into a backbreaker. Mooney is just being tortured for the offense of kicking out. Henry unloading a flurry of chops, slaps and kicks. Henry sits up top and waits for Mooney to prove that he’s still alive. Mooney scrambles for the ankle and Henry spikes a piledriver. This should be it but Mooney kicks out! He wants kicks?!? Whyyyyyyyyyy??? Henry obliges and kicks a hole through his chest. Mooney raging back with a chops…knees…kicks…back elbows! Mooney to the top, can he pull this off? Henry rolls out and catches an apron ddt! Mooney with a crucifix bomb! Splash to the back! Henry kicks out! Head kick! Mooney almost gets the rollup! Leg lariat! Kick out! Snap German from Henry. Sharpshooter applied! Mooney gets the rope. Henry drags him out to the center and sinks back deeeeeep onto the hold. Mooney gets the rope again! We trading methodical chest kicks. Henry with a wicked chop, tries for the piledriver again! Mooney swatted out of the air. Superkick. Spike piledriver. Henry wins! This was very good. Similar to the Martyr match from last night with a little less emotional story telling. Mooney was a good opponent but it’s clear that Anthony Henry’s superpower is MAKING people with a super stiff long form contest.

Match 6: Mike Skyros vs JD Drake

Our first of three hard hitting JD Drake matches today. Skyros coming in hard but Drake is just tossing him around. Skyros wants to chop Drake??? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha Drake starts murdering his chest. We are hungry for chest slaps. Drake just goes full flurry. Back drop to the apron! Senton into the ring: Drake offers Skyros a way out. He refuses to take it and Drake calls him a dumba**. Drake out here throwing head kicks. At this moment, as his chest is turning purple, Mike Skyros is regretting his life choices. Skyros manages to Jack up the arm of Drake on the top rope and uses this moment to un load in the big man. He makes the regrettable choice to chop Drake again and that awakens the beast. Skyros staying on him though, big suplex for two. Drake back to tossing. Double axe handles. Backfist! Claymore! Big uranage…VADER BOMB! Skyros kicks out! Skyros escapes a suplex…roll up…kick out! Drake with an inside out release suplex! Moonsault misses! Skyros tries a rings of Saturn but can’t hold it. Drake with a pop up into the ropes and rebound lariat to the floor! I love this spot so much. Skyros thrown back in, he pops up and kicks the ropes into Drake’s yambag. The ref misses the feet on the ropes as Skyros gets a cheap win. Hard hitting match, much slap.

Match 7: 1 Called Manders vs Logan Black (Street Fight)

This is a brawl right at the bell and it goes right to the floor. We’re going for plunder. Logan just puts Manders head through a door on the post owwww. Manders blasts a ladder to the gut and swinging a chair with murder on the mind. Black has a cheese grater! We’re getting gross! Manders backs up and takes himself out on our stairs. I hate these stairs. They are terrifying. We need new stairs. Black is applying duct tape to the corner…he covers it in forks?!? Manders fights it off! Black rammed into the cutlery! Black is getting forked up. Stabby stab stab! Manders has something better…literal SPURS. Time to carve up this pony. We got a barbed wire chair. Logan fights it off and Manders eats it with his face! Manders is seeing red now too! Manders looks like he’s feeling…grate. Owwwww. Roaring elbow! Manders hits a headbutt! Kick out! The ladder is in! We got chairs and tacks! Manders is out for more blood…Logan backdrops him into it! Suplex into the tacks. Manders is miserable! Logan biting….Manders powerbombs him through the door! Logan is right back up and screaming! Logan comes running…lariat! A second one! Logan kicks out! Both guys hate each other so much. Logan slammed into the barbed wire chair and tacks! Kick out! More chair shots! Manders flips the chair upside down and slams Logan into it. Oh my goddddddd. Logan kicks out! Manders duct tapes Logan to the rope. WHY WONT YOU STAY DOWN?!? Manders just throwing chair after chair into Logan Black. Manders tapes Logan to the rooe and unloads a flurry of spur shots to the head until Angelo Carter runs out to beg the ref to call it off. Wowwww. This was insanely intense, especially this final sequence.

Main Event: Jay Freddie(c) vs O’Shay Edwards (for the Pro Wrestling Grind Grand Championship)

Let’s gooooooooooooooo! The Big Bad Kaiju wants the big belt! It’s been so long since I’ve seen Jay Freddie work and this is gonna be a heck of a test of the champion’s mettle. They struggle, Freddie goes for the back and tries to put the Kaiju to sleep. Edwards catches the champ with a long delay vertical suplex. Freddie is staying on Edwards though and showing why he’s the champ. Edwards with a big uranage and starts dropping punches to the skull from on high. Freddie catches a boot…dragon screw! Edwards drops Freddie again…new champ? Jay quickly drags him down to a crossface…O’Shay picks him up out of it…Blu-ray!!!!! Superplex! Blue Thunder is running out of spark. Buckle bomb! Corner toss! Spear!!!!! Freddie kicks out but he’s gasping for air. Edwards to the top…Freddie runs up and Germans him off! Crazy landing! Freddie ducks and chopping. Hard slaps and forearms…Edward puts an end to that in a single shot. Freddie back up…running ddt reversal out of a spinebuster! Brain buster by the champ! German! Kick out! Freddie tries a sliced bread? Edwards with the fire thunder driver! Kick out! Freddie kicks out the knee! Shining wizard! Jay Freddie with a tiger driver to O’Shay Edwards!!!! He stacks it and gets the pin! Wowwwww!

I’m clearly drunk on wrestling at this point but this was a fun f***ing show. The whole vibe felt different in the room compared to everything else we’ve seen so far. Definitely watch this back.
