Prestige Wrestling “The Things We Carry”

Wrestival Day 2 11pm

1/30/22 Worcester, MA

Prestige is in from the West Coast making their East Coast debut. Owner Will Quintana is out here to hype the crowd and give a little code of conduct. Thank goodness, we police our own around here so I don’t think we got anything to worry about on that front. The main event is a sheer monster of a clash between tag team pioneers the Motor City Machineguns and The American Wolves. Rich Palladino is our master of ceremonies, LETS GOOOOOOO!

Match 1: Alec Price vs Alan Angels

Angels is announced as the epic ace of prestige. That’s…not OUR Ace. Angels takes an immediate powder. Back to the action, Alec in full taunt mode and trading chops. Alan goes to the eyes like a chickens*** would do. Knees to the face. One more time? Angels biting the finger! He IS trash! Alan with a trip up from the floor, and a slingshot dropkick. Angels working out Ace over but Price won’t stay down. He’s y shot to the face, to the back of the head, tornado ddt! Dive to the floor! Angels avoids the stickup! Rollups fail! Alan hits a huge lariat. He measures a second one! Hard shot! Alec kicks out! Hard forearms back and forth! Angels with a half Nelson suplex. Powerbomb to angels…air raid neck breaker! Kick out! Angels dodges the Suprize kick but ref Gina gets hit. It’s a stickup! Visual nine count! He tries the Surprize again but Angels goes low. Spinning back kick from Angels and that ends it as Gina wakes

Back up. Booooooo! Great match, I’m loving POS Angels. 

Winner: Alan Angels

Match 2: C4 (Cody Chhun & Guillermo Rosas) vs  Brick City Boyz (Victor Chase & JCruz) 

Why do we not call him Brickter Chase? XD Anyways, Chase is easily overpowering Rosas. Rosas hits some arm drags and gets Chhun in there. C4 using some good tandem shots to keep Cruz down but bricks are resilient. Rosas eating some wicked chops. Rosas shot off but he tosses BCB to the floor. Chhun’s back in to inflict damage but he gets caught in a double worlds strongest slam. Tandem piledriver! Kick out! Rosas up and in! BCB getting caught in the flurry…Chase eats a Total Elimination variant and Cruz can’t save it! Good hard hitting match, sad to see BCB take another L but they’ve been repping Open well today.

Winners: C4

Match 3: Robert Martyr vs Anthony Henry

I have been waiting all weekend for this fight. This is some good chain grappling as Martyr tries to stay ahead of the wrestling expert in Henry. Trading positions on a wristlock, Henry wraps up the legs and starts stretching this kid. Martyr out and running the ropes. Henry tossed. Martyr tossed to the outside and Henry lands a soul crushing kick. This kick was so hard that KEVIN KU popped for that. Omg. Martyr up and slapping but Henry just bombs him into the post. Martyr wont stay down. Henry is more than happy to give it right back. Hard chops back and forth. Martyr planted with a ddt. This is wild. Neck crank twist! Martyr back up but Henry clubs him down. Henry yells that he was told to test Martyr. So here we go. Hard thudding chest kicks! Martyr is back up for more. Robert cranks the knee! Pump kick! Double chop runs Henry over! Henry still throwing legs but Martyr walking through it! This is willllllllld. Henry spikes a knee to the chin. Spike brain buster! Kick out! Henry has a crossface! Martyr reverses to a half crab! Henry escapes to the ropes. Trading quick pin attempts! Martyr with a high knee! Powerbomb! Kick out! Both guys standing toe to toe. No quit in either of them. Trading rapidly Crowd wild. Henry kicks his head off suddenly! Piledriver! Kickout! Henry with one more piledriver! Martyr stays down. Holy f***ing s***. This was incredible. This is easily in the running for match of the weekend. Wowwwwww!

Winner: Anthony Henry

Henry and Martyr trade some incredibly emotionally promos. This was amazing. How the F*** do you follow this? I need a smoke, a coffee and a cuddle. Gahdamn. 

Match 4: Chris Brady vs Bobby Orlando

Our mom is fighting our favorite homeboy. This is high energy and a little bit of goofy dancing stuff. Very fun. I am so tired after that last match. Orlando and Brady are hitting some hard shots and overselling it wonderfully. Good running ddt by Brady almost ends it. Reversal to a lariat! Bobby with a sick trick dropkick! Sick trick cutter! Dab elbow drop! Mom wins!

Winner: Bobby Orlando

Match 5: Kevin Blackwood vs Anthony Greene

This goes white hot right at the bell. Blackwood with a snap double stomp. Greene with a butterfly hangman’s ddt. Goddamn. Missile dropkick from Blackwood. Very even. Very back and forth. Blackwood with a wicked kick. Greene says it wasn’t as hard as Anthony Henry. Great callback. Butterfly slam, transition to a crab! Kevin scrambles to the rope. Hard chops on the apron. AG tries a baseball slide but eats a double stomp. Blackwood off the top, eats a superkick! Tornado killswitch! Kick out! AG has the half crab! Blackwood nearly gets a small package! AG off the rope right into the knees! Blackwood catches him for two! Corkscrew suplex off the top! Hard standup back and forth. Blackwood escapes the so much prettier again! Yakuza kick! Top rope double stomp drops AG hard and Blackwood gets the pin!

Winner: Kevin Blackwood

Match 6: Akira vs Atticus Cogar

This is one intense Ohioan. Akira and Cogar get right into the slug. Akira wants this W. Atticus goes right to the eye. Atticus is exploiting AKIRA’s hate and rage for him. Trading forearms, Cogar buckles first. Running corner dropkick. Cogar right back with a slam for two. Hard superkick. Akira is dazed on the apron. Cogar flies out to stomp on AKIRA’s flag. Triangle tope to Cogar! Cogar might take he countout…no, he smashed a gusset into AKIRA’s face. Is this a DQ? Akira yells that this is No Holds Barred. He makes matches I guess! Let’s get the plunder. Akira grabs a door? Atticus drops a ladder on his damn head. We got a door table. He tries to skewer Akira but gets tossed through the table. Akira tossing chairs into the ring…he’s coming for Cogar's throat. Both guys are gushing. He wants Akira to eat those skewers. Cogar with some hard chair shots to the brainium. Cogar goes through another door! Akira tries to put him to sleep! He arches back…Cogar goes limp! Akira finally gets a W over Atticus!

Winner: Akira

Atticus offers a hand? Is it a trap? Of course it is.  Kick to the nards. Akira left with a head full of skewers. 

Match 7: Jody Threat vs Willow Nightingale

Willow really finesses Jody out of her hard hitting comfort zone and keeps her off balance. Jody keeps coming but Willow tossing her off. Brawl goes to the outside. Jody hits a harrrrd chop. Willow walking her down to return fire. They share a beer! It’s pumpkin! They race to the finish! Smash the cans and each other! Back to the ring, hard hits back and forth. Big spinebuster! Jody kicks out! Threat firing up but Willow tosses her over the top….and Threat comes flying right back in! Willow tries to sneak the rollup but Jody’s too wild. Jody almost gets the rollup but Willow powerbombs her for the win! 

Winner: Willow Nightingale 

Main Event: The American Wolves (Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards) vs The Motor City Machineguns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin)

Stoked for this super fight tag clash. Alex Shelley has opened AND closed this day. The Wolves are all over Shelley. Hard headbutt from Edwards. Sabin gets in and starts in on Eddie but Davey says noooooooooope. The Wolves are owning this moment. Sabin’s not legal and Davey has him thrown out while Eddie unloads on Shelley on the floor. Shelley gets the banana splits. Davey with a roll through to a trailer hitch daaaaaaaamn. Eddie giving some extra leverage. MCMG get Eddie in there and work to CONTROL him. Double submission to the Wolves! Davey tags in hot! Double suplex! Hard kicks to Sabin! Dropkick to a ddt! Saito suplex! Eddie with a baseball slide to Shelley’s knee. Double drop to Sabin! Sabin keeping in the fight, running up ddt to Eddie. he goes for cradle shock but Davey fights it off. Motor City Stretch and a cradle shock! The wolves double roll it up! Kick out! Both teams slugging it out back and forth! Crowd pops for the brawl!  Shelley popped up to a super kick! MCMG unloading on the Wolves! Skulls & Crossbones! Double cradle shock to Davey! That is IT! This was super good!

Winners: Motor City Machineguns

Alex Shelley offers Sabin a shot at his prestige championship since his partner IS the one who got the pinfall. Sabin says yes but only if he gets a hug. MCMG clash? Yes please. And that’s it for Prestige! I had no idea what to expect from this show apart from some stellar looking matchups…but as we learned on the last show, sometimes stellar matches don’t fire a crowd up. This show dragged the crowd into a sheer frenzy. I’m still thinking about that Martyr/Henry match. It was that f***ing good. The main? Fantastic. There’s plenty of stuff to run back on IWTV when it hits so watch it? It’s easily my second favorite show of the weekend so far. Tomorrow is Grind, Limitless and Beyond. We got 3 shows to go! Until then!
