It was announced during tonight's Lucha Libre AAA Noche de Campeones PPV from Acapulco that former ROH TV Champion Dragon Lee, 27, one of the best Luchadors in the world, has officially signed with WWE.
Lee was a multi-time champion in Mexico's CMLL. In Japan, he won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship. In January of 2019, Lee signed with ROH, where he held the TV and Tag Team titles. He was with the promotion until Sinclair Broadcast Group shuttered it and sold the company to Tony Khan. Lee made several post-ROH appearances in AEW but was quickly written out of the promotion after being turned on by his brother, Rush.
Lee made the announcement that he had signed with WWE after he and his brother Dralistico defeated FTR for the AAA Tag Team Championships. That will be his final AAA appearance, so they booked him to go out the hero.
Lee is slated to start with the company at the Performance Center next year and will be moving to Orlando.
