Thoughts on the Uncle Howdy segment on Smackdown (on December 16)?

Disappointing, for sure.  It was a “that was it?” kind of moment for me.  I hope that it was a red herring and if it wasn’t intended to be I hope that they make it one.

I turned off Rampage when Guevara bit the earring from Moxley’s ear.  It was disgusting.  What is wrong with AEW?

Man, I hear you.  That whole segment was disgusting, and Taye Melo’s actions were puke worthy as well.  I have no idea why they do that stuff, I really don’t.  But I guess some people like it.  I am like you, it makes me want to change the channel.

Why is Ric Flair so sensitive and thin skinned when it comes to any criticism about him? Whenever someone tells the truth about him he always downplays anyone by saying that they aren’t relevant with no credibility. His comments on Jim Ross were ridiculous and hypocritical considering his actions over the years.

I don't have enough education in my brain to understand the mindset of Ric Flair, let alone explain it.  Same with Vince McMahon.  I don't get how people in their 70s still need to seek validation in one form or another.  All I can say is that I am glad I am not that way.

I don't recall if this was ever officially confirmed, but is it true that CM Punk's foot injury that occurred shortly after his initial AEW title win happened while diving off the ramp into the crowd?

I can't say.  I don't recall Punk ever stating when it actually happened.

Any idea on how WWE’s relationship with FOX are currently? It’s been an interesting ride since Smackdown landed there, from Bischoff to Covid to now. Ratings currently seem to be doing real well, so have you heard any internal word on their relationship?

I can’t say for sure.  There have been reports that Smackdown doesn’t make money for FOX, based on what ads cost on the show, but internal accounting could tell a different story.  There has been talk from the start that WWE fit FOX as a dependable loss leader in that the cost of the show is known, as opposed to developing series that may fail and cost more money.  Also they use it for cross promotion of its other properties.  My take at this moment that as long as Vince McMahon stays away, the relationship will continue when the current TV deal expires in 2024.
