Wrestling Open Week 50
12/15/22 Worcester, MA
Streaming on IWTV.live
We are here for the 50th week of Wrestling Open! The Wrestival is looming and we have a lot of stories in flight that are building towards that climax. The 6-man main event looks wild but there’s some Undercard stuff across the whole show that I am very much looking forward to. Let’s get this spotlight match while I eat some Buffalo Mac n cheese from Mama Colorado’s kitchen!
Spotlight Match: Brother Greatness vs Juni Underwood
Underwood is a fire starter and Brother Greatness doesn’t wanna burn. Good back and forth action, Junior with some quick near falls. Big German suplex from BG. Brain buster. Underwood won’t quit. Swinging Michanoku driver! BG kicks out and a punt to the head ends Underwood’s night. Good start and a good night for the church!
Winner: Brother Greatness
And we’re liiiiive on IWTV! Paul Crockett and Denver Colorado are on the mic. Rich Palladino is your announcer! Let’s go!

Match 1: Big Bacon Brad Hollister vs Bryce Donovan
Donovan is filling in for a sick Bobby Orlando. Feel better mom! Aaron Rourke is out here and gets Bryce’s attention and tries to apologize to him. He says Donovan means the world to him and begs forgiveness. He gets frustrated as Bryce turns his back on him. Bryce comes out after him and of course Bacon ambushes him. Rourke joins the beatdown as they post him. Rourke laying into Bryce as the ref tries to get him out of there. This is a match still! Big German but Bryce is dodging everything as he gets his wind back. He tries the ripcord black hole slam but Bacon quickly wraps up a sleeper and the pre-beaten Donovan goes right out. Liked the story told here. Bacon is really coming into his own as a hate magnet in Worcester.
Winner: Brad Hollister
Match 2: Austin Luke vs Nolo Kitano
Two returning Wrestling Open favorites kick off match 2. Double kick catch, lockup to the rope break. High angle head scissors from Nolo! Luke cuts him down with a high kick. Hard kick to the spine, Luke back with a neck twist. Roaring elbow cuts the samurai down for two. Good kick trade sequence, Luke catches a kick and cradle Germans him. Sick move. Uppercuts and forearms back and forth, Nolo is fired up but Luke has the antidote, more kicks. Nooo back with a shotgun to a double knees. Crazy velocity on that. Luke isn’t done. Nolo with a backbreaker and swinging kick…Luke rebounds with a huge lariat and finishes Nolo with a GTK. This was really enjoyable!
Winner: Austin Luke

B3CCA is out here. She’s wearing blinged out hockey gear tonight. She’s here tonight and has a message for SLADE. And Atticus Cogar. And us. She’s the toughest wrestler in the entire world. Oh. Ok. She is gonna have a test of violence tonight. Oh? She demands Rich Palladino throw her shoe at her. She no sells it. She is untouchable. She isn’t scared of anything. Cue SLADE’s music and she runs out the door of the White Eagle. Ha!

Match 3: Clara Carraras vs Allie Katch
Good armlock starts the chain of wrestling holds, Clara is holding her own against Katch and drives her to the corner. Crowd pretty split for both, Chica blasts Katch on the ropes for two. Katch catches her and walks around into an emphatic backbreaker. Katch whips her head first into the bottom buckle. Clara trying to fire back, crucifix bomb for two! Shotgun into the corner! Body splash! Allie catches her with a Michanoku driver. When that doesn’t work, it’s piledriver time and that puts Clara down for the three.
Winner: Allie Katch
Match 4: Ray Jaz vs Curt Robinson
Who is this guy? Don’t care, he’s fighting Ray Jaz so he’s our new hero. We don’t give Ray Jaz an inch and try to keep Robinson fired up but Jaz likes to punish us by hurting his opponent. Robinson comes off the top, Jaz dodges the crossbody. Time to unload big shots to his opponent and just throw him off ver the corner post. Jesus. Trip to the second from Robinson. Jaz misses a charge to the corner! Exploder from Robinson! Falling lariat for two! High crossbody connects! Kick out! Jaz with a huge hot shot. Jazmission applied. Unfortunate inevitable tap out. Goddddddammit. Jaz wins again.
Winner: Ray Jaz
Match 5: Teddy Goodz & Little Mean Kathleen vs Love’s Angels (Love Doug & Notorious Mimi)
What a weird fun matchup! Doug tries to propose to Teddy and he ain’t having that. LMK sets Doug up for a double stomp through the arm. Test of love? Teddy is powerful but love is strong. LMK and Mimi try ti break it up but wind up in the struggle too. Kathleen is so mean! Small package for two! Backslide for two! Mimi blasts her out of the corner, lariat to the back of the head. Yeow. LMK with the running stomp! Flavor bomb! Mimi blocks the Dudley dog! Tko attempted but LMK hits a stunner! Teddy in and running wild but Doug has a fistful of flower petals for him! Running bulldog! Mimi and LMK battle to break it up, Doug is distracted, Teddy with the rollup and traps the legs for three!
Winners: Teddy Goodz and Notorious Mimi
It’s time for the next match but Aaron Rourke is back out here? He wants to make sure his sponsor gets the shoutout. He thought Bryce was going to accept his apology. He apologies for not letting Shook Crew Leech off his success like they did Max Caster. Daaaaaaaamn. He’s sorry for biting him. He calls Bryce a ball and chain on Bobby Orlando. Waaaaaaooooowwww. He reminds Bryce how he was there every day when he was hurt….and he’s sorry he has to be the one to finish the job. Bryce is finally out here and he has a gift bag? Aaron heads right out of the ring. Bryce has been listening…and he accepts the apology and forgives him. What? They HAVE been through a lot. He knows how Aaron’s thinks…and it’s sad. Aaron has been stealing the spotlight from Shook Crew every time they get it. He says the mistake he made in their match was thinking they were friends. The gift he has for him? If Aaron thinks he’s a ball and chain…then he’ll treat Rourke like the animal he is. In two weeks? At Last Stand at the Wrestival??? It’s a dog collar match!!! Bryce promises to leave him in a pool of his own blood and leave him alone, chained to no one. Long promo but intense on both sides. Last Stand is gonna be wild.
Match 6: TJ Crawford vs Marcus Mathers
This matchup has low key banger written all over it. Brief feeling out and grappling, TJ goes to the fingers. Marcus with an up and over stunner. TJ with the fake out and chokes Marcus on the ropes. Draping neckbreaker. TJ is super intense and barely holding it together but gets a few near falls…but can’t do a good job ignoring the crowd. Marcus back with chops and a spinning head kick. Flying forearm! Falcon arrow! TJ back up to trade hard chops. Great sequence of reversals into a mathers sitout powerbomb for two! TJ is exhausted but lands a forearm to the back of the head! Shining wizard! Kick out! TJ and Mathers lighting each other up! Kicks collide! Another collision and they’ve both down. Cue the Wrestling Open chant! TJ rolls out…Mathers caught trying a dive! Triangle stunner! Stuff Ddt! Michanoku driver! Crawford can’t finish it! Mathers off the ropes with a destroyer! 450 splash ends this wild contest at 9:40. Hot damn. The crowd chanting for both of them. Mathers offers a handshake but TJ rolls out. He doesn’t want the pity. This ruled. Mathers always delivers but this was a great moment for TJC to show what he can really do between these ropes.

Match 7: Fancy Ryan Clancy(2) vs Danny Miles(1) (Best of 5 Series)
Can Clancy close the series out? He almost does at the bell! Miles hits the floor and Clancy comes right after him. Miles tries a chop and hits the post. We’re close to a double count out. Not like this! They make it back and Clancy just starts throwing him across the ring. Clancy with an errant moment to pose and Miles blasts him off the buckles. Hard kicks and stomps from the Dream Crusher. Spinning sidewalk slam. Clancy back with hard chops but miles guts him. Danny with a huge slam as the crowd boos him into a rage. Clancy with a head scissor! Back body drop! Neck twist! Flip senton for two! Miles with the reversal but Clancy bombs him out of the corner. Kick out! Miles with a rollup into a German! Cannonball! Miles grabs the ankle and tries for the tap out! Reversal to a single leg crab! Miles makes the rope but Clancy holds on. Side Russian blocked! Miles with a fisherman’s suplex and Clancy is downed for the three! We’re tied up!
Winner: Danny Miles
Channing Thomas & Sidney Bakabella find themselves faced with a problem.
— Wrestling Open (@WrestlingOpen) December 15, 2022
But WHO is the problem?
Take a look back at what led up to their upcoming appearance at Open on Thursday night streaming on @indiewrestling!#WrestlingOpen pic.twitter.com/EQdYjd7J22
It’s World Class time? Sidney Bakabella and Channing Thomas are out here and MAD. Do we think he’s an idiot? OF COURSE ALEC PRICE IS ULTIMO X! whaaaaaaaaaaaat?!?!?!? That cannot be! Sidney Bakabella is furious because Alec Price is ignoring the rules of wrestling! He’s not supposed to be wrestling and the wrestling open matchmakers KNOW HE IS X. Nah, can’t be. Sidney Bakabella says Ultimo X is going to face Channing Thomas and will be unmasked when he loses. But hey, if he wins? Bakabella says Price can come back. But X ain’t fighting Channing next week. Bakabella has a friend he’s bringing and we’ll find out who it is…NEXT WEEK AT WRESTLING OPEN! Ha! Classic! Anyways, it’s impossible for me to conceive that Bakabella could be right about Price and X being the same person so I’ll just consider it yet another lie from a gahhhhhhbidge human.
As an aside, did you know that Sidney Bakabella is up for an IWTV award this year? If you have a subscription, cast your vote today for “2022 Moment of the Year” as “Sidney Bakabella wets his pants on Wrestling Open. Aug 18th. Please. XD -> https://independentwrestling.tv/awards

Main Event: Pedro Dones & The Mane Event (Midas Black and Jay Lyon) vs Miracle Ones (Dustin Waller, Kylon King & Ichiban)
Dones still has that Call Your Shot folder. The only shot he’s calling if that they’re coming for Miracle Ones’ heads. Both these teams are hot at each other. Ichiban and Dones have a slow burn starter, the Shot Caller working number one until he can get his hands on Waller. Now it’s time for the somewhat unsporting triple team tactics. Dones doing squats with Waller before hitting a suplex. Waller firing back hard and gets the King in there. Pull up release northern lights! Midas tries his luck but Miracle Gen hits the big splash combos. Triple atomic drops to Lyon and a three way shotgun sends him to the floor! Kylon goes for the dive but Midas pulls him out and posts him. Ichiban getting swarmed. High angle elbow drop! Lyon with a double stomp to the back. Ichiban trying to fight out of this bad situation but Lyon is quick and gutwrenches him back from the tag. Body toss into the corner. Dones trying to Mo o Ichiban but his number one gets slapped away. Ichiban makes the tag but Midas has the ref distracted! Ichiban finally breaks away! Diving tag to Kylon! Everyone feeling the wrath of the King. Double northern lights! Dustin dives out to the trio! Dones is left alone! Handspring cutter! Midas makes the save! Twisting suplex! Kylon with a huge German! Lyon with the swinging uranage. Leg lariat off the ropes! Ichiban drags Dustin in for a tag! Lyon intercepts number one on the top. Mane Event hits a power plex! Miracle Gen saves it! They kick out Mane Event! Oh you wanna hit our move? Miracle Generation hits a Grand Finale on Dones! Ichiban going for the kill but Brad Hollister if out here to distract him again. Bryce Donovan is out here to intercept but it turns into an 8-way brawl and the ref call for the bell!
Winners: No One (Double DQ)
The locker room empties to break these teams up but the violence can’t be contained! This match was an awesome 15+ minutes. And this brawl is just going wild. Rich Palladino on the mic tells everyone to stop it. He says that Worcester is sick of Hollister, Dones and Mane Event’s crap. Wrestling Open is sick of them. They settle this at The Last Stand in two weeks! Dones, Hollister & Mane Event vs Miracle Ones & Bobby Orlando….and that 8-man tag? Miracle Ones and Bobby get to pick the stipulation…right now! A quick huddle and we have a decision? Ichiban is on the mic?!? “STEEL CAGE WARFARE!” He knows other words! Oh my god, we have Worcester’s first cage match in two weeks!!!!!!
