PPPW “Omega 9” Recap
- Joe Vernola makes his way to the ring to start the show, Vernola brings out three women’s wrestlers from the training camp PPPW held last month. Vernola gives all three ladies certificates for completing the camp, Vernola says all three ladies will be getting scholarships from the promotion to continue training. Vernola then brings out all the women competing in the Omega 9 tournament, a group photo is taken of everybody competing in the Omega 9 tournament.
Omega 9 Tournament Qualifying Match: Hussy Steele w/Niles Blunt vs. Panda Moanyum vs. Jewels
The match begins with Jewels attacking Moanyum from behind while she was playing to the crowd, Steele joins in and double teams Moanyum alongside Jewels. Steele and Jewels quickly argue before turning on each other, Steele drops Jewels and Jewels gets to the ropes. Moanyum returns and she gets Steele in a headlock, Steele gets free and she attacks the arm of Moanyum. Moanyum gets free and she works over the arm of Steele, Steele gets free as Jewels kicks Moanyum in the back. Jewels then attacks Steele and drops her before pulling back on both arms, Jewels lets Steele go free so she can attack Moanyum. Jewels keeps Moanyum down while pulling back on both of her arms, Steele returns and she works over the arms of Jewels. Steele then hits Jewels with a back breaker before stretching her across her knee, Steele then gets Jewels in an arm bar and Moanyum breaks it all up. Moanyum picks up Steele and she corners her while landing strikes, Steele fights back and she lands strikes on a cornered Moanyum.
Jewels returns and she drops Steele with a running back elbow strike followed by a handstand splash for a near fall, Jewels gets Steele in a modified abdominal stretch. Moanyum gets Jewels in a modified camel clutch before breaking all the submission attempts up, Jewels traps Steele in the corner before choking her and knocking her out of the ring. Jewels misses a charge against Moanyum and Moanyum gets her in the Panda Bear Hug, Moanyum then hits Jewels with a sit out power bomb for a three count.
Winner: Panda Moanyum
Omega 9 Tournament Opening Round Match: Panda Moanyum vs. Reka Tehaka vs. The Fallen Flower Kikyo
The match begins with Kikyo missing a charge at Moanyum and she crashes into the corner, Moanyum then hits Tehaka with some strikes. Moanyum then hits a swinging Kikyo with strikes of her own, Tehaka returns and she drops Moanyum with a kick. Tehaka and Kikyo have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Kikyo ends the exchange by landing a clothesline on her for a near fall. Moanyum tries getting back in the ring and Kikyo attacks her, Tehaka trips up Kikyo before attacking her leg. Moanyum gets back in the ring and she double teams Kikyo alongside Tehaka, Tehaka turns on Moanyum and she kicks her in the midsection. Tehaka then drops Moanyum with a snap mare for a near fall, Tehaka traps Kikyo in the ropes before attacking her injured leg. Tehaka leaves the ring and Moanyum attacks her from behind, Tehaka spits some beer in the face of Moanyum before dropping her with a strike. Tehaka grabs a bar stool and she attacks Moanyum with it, Moanyum fights back and she hits Tehaka with some strikes. Tehaka drops Moanyum on the arena floor before returning to stomp away on a downed Kikyo, Tehaka drags Moanyum back into the ring.
Tehaka and Moanyum take turns picking each other up before Kikyo drops Tehaka with a clothesline, Kikyo looks to suplex both of her opponents before Tehaka and Moanyum work together to land a double suplex on her. A three way striking exchange breaks out between everybody in the match, Tehaka drops both opponents after sending them head first into each other. Tehaka then hits Moanyum with an STF and Kikyo breaks up the pin with a senton, Kikyo pins the downed Moanyum for a three count.
Winner: The Fallen Flower Kikyo
Omega 9 Tournament Opening Round Match: Lilith Grimm vs. Athena Estrada vs. Mazzerati
The match begins with Mazzerati and Estrada agreeing to work together before attacking Grimm, Estrada accidentally clotheslines Mazzerati and their partnership ends. Estrada drops Grimm with a leaping clothesline for a near fall, Mazzerati attacks Estrada with some strikes before landing a knee lift to the head. Estrada recovers and she drops Mazzerati with a head scissors takedown, Estrada then hits Mazzerati with a running knee strike. Grimm returns and she lands a double avalanche on her cornered opponents, Grimm slams Mazzerati before slamming Estarda on top of her for a near fall. Mazzerati goes for a northern lights suplex on Grimm and Grimm blocks it before landing a back drop driver on her, Estrada returns and she cracks Grimm with a few strikes. Mazzerati returns and she dumps Grimm out of the ring, Mazzerati then hits Estrada with a kick to the midsection followed by a head kick. Mazzerati goes to the ring apron to have a striking exchange with Grimm, Grimm gets Mazzerati off the ring apron before sending her into the ring post.
Estrada then dives off the ring apron onto Grimm, Estrada gets Grimm back in the ring while Mazzerati is still down on the arena floor. Grimm avoids a clothesline from Estrada before landing a few strikes,Grimm then hits Estrada with a side slam for a near fall. Mazzerati returns and she drops Grimm with a short DDT, Mazzerati then hits Estrada with a northern lights suplex for a near fall. Mazzerati goes for a bulldog and Estrada sends her face first into the mat below, Grimm grabs Estrada and she hits her with a modified death valley driver. Mazzerati kicks Grimm in the head before pinning Estrada for a three count.
Winner: Mazzerati
Omega 9 Tournament Opening Round Match: Lola The Adventurer vs. Gypsy Mac vs. Daddi Doom
The match begins with Adventurer giving a map to Mac and Mac destroys it, Doom steals Adventurer’s backpack before tossing it out of the ring. Adventurer then rolls up Mac for a near fall, Doom then catches Adventurer in a roll up for a near fall. Mac returns and she rolls up Adventurer for another near fall, Adventurer then cracks Mac with some strikes before landing a knee strike followed by a basement drop kick for a near fall. Doom returns and she attacks Adventurer before Mac joins in on the attack, Doom and Mac hit Adventurer with a double clothesline before turning on each other after a pin attempt from Doom. Adventurer then hits Mac with a cross body for a near fall, Doom rakes the eyes of Adventurer before choking Mac along the middle rope. Doom grabs her whip and she hits Mac with it before again choking her on the middle rope, Doom sends Adventurer into the corner before landing an avalanche and bulldog for a near fall. Mac returns and she knocks Doom out of the ring, Mac then hits Adventurer with a head kick for a near fall. Adventurer and Mac both go down after a double clothesline, Adventurer then cleans house against both of her opponents.
Adventurer then drops Mac with a DDT for a near fall, Doom returns and she nails Adventurer with a face buster for a near fall. Mac returns and she levels Doom with a spear, Mac follows up by landing the stroke on Adventurer for a three count.
Winner: Gypsy Mac
PPPW Tag Team Championships: The Pineapple Express (Fuji Brown & Johnny Crash) (C) vs. The Collaborators (Dante King & Roland Steele) w/Lucas Scratch vs. The Pillars Of Destiny (Paul Titan & Hunter Grey)
The match begins with an all out brawl as The Collaborators jump The Pineapple Express from behind, The Pillars Of Destiny join in on the brawl before clearing the ring. Crash and Grey exchanging some shoulder tackle attempts, Titan tags in and he nails Crash with a kick to the midsection. Titan sends Crash into the corner before landing more strikes, Grey tags in and he also lands some strikes on Crash. Grey corners Crash before landing more strikes, Titan tags back in and he accidentally kicks his partner in the face. Crash then sends Titan into the corner before Grey accidentally hits an avalanche on his partner, Grey grabs Crash and he lands a few more strikes before getting crotched on the top rope. Brown and Steele are tagged in by their respective partners, Steele attacks a distracted Brown from behind. King tags in and he corners Brown before landing a few strikes, Steele tags in and he nails Brown with an avalanche for a near fall. Steele and King double team Brown in the corner while The Pillars argue with the ref, King tags in and he nails Brown with a face wash.
Steele tags back in and he works over a downed Brown in the corner, Steele then drops Brown with a hard Irish whip into the corner. King tags back in and he nails Brown with a leaping forearm strike, King drops Brown with a snap mare followed by a kick to the back. King leaps off the middle rope before faking out everybody and applying a chin lock to Brown, Steele tags back in and he lands more strikes on Brown. Steele and King then hit Brown with a double suplex for a near fall, King fakes tagging in and he works over Brown before tagging Steele back in, Brown fights back before eating double punches from Steele and King. King looks for a spinning splash and Brown gets his knees up, King catches Brown in multiple pin attempts before Grey interferes to break it all up. Grey tags in and he immediately starts cleaning house against everybody in the match, Grey then hits Steele with a full nelson slam. The Pillars double team King for a near fall after Scratch pulls the referee out of the ring, Brown tags in as The Pillars go after Scratch. King accidentally takes out Steele before Brown rolls him up for a three count.
Winners: The Pineapple Express (Fuji Brown & Johnny Crash), still your PPPW Tag Team Champions
ZZ vs. Manny Lemons w/The Lemon Master
The match begins with Lemons faking a handshake before attacking ZZ with some strikes, ZZ fights back and he nails Lemons with a slam. ZZ follows up by landing a suplex on Lemons, Lemons leaves the ring and he takes a breather before returning. ZZ backs Lemons into the corner and Lemons goes to the ropes to separate from ZZ, Lemons again leaves the ring as he plays mind games with ZZ. Lemons returns to the ring and he lands a few strikes on ZZ before choking him in the corner, ZZ fights back and Lemons kicks him in the midsection before dropping him with a strike to the back. Lemons looks for a suplex and ZZ blocks it before landing one of his own, ZZ follows up by landing a fallaway slam on Lemons. ZZ goes to the top rope and he misses a splash attempt on Lemons, Lemons then hits ZZ with The Lemon Drop for a three count.
Winner: Manny Lemons w/The Lemon Master
PPW Championship Match: Adrian Grimm (C) vs. Marlion Bishop
The match begins with Grimm having his druids attack Bishop, Bishop fights back and he destroys all of the druids. Grimm tries dropping Bishop with clothesline attempts. Bishop picks up Grimm before tossing him across the ring, Bishop then hits Grimm with multiple short arm clotheslines. The Druids return to attack Bishop and Bishop destroys them once again, Grimm returns and he attacks Bishop from behind. Grimm traps Bishop in the corner before landing shoulder thrusts and corner clotheslines, Grimm looks for a bulldog and Bishop counters by throwing him across the ring. Grimm leaves the ring and Bishop tosses him across it again when he gets back inside, Bishop then hits Grimm with a spine buster. The druids attack Bishop for a third time and Bishopovercomes them all, the She Devil jumps on the back of Bishop and Bishop gets her out of the ring. Grimm returns and Bishop gets him in a bear hug, the druids return again and Bishop takes them out again.
Grimm returns and he nails a cornered Bishop with a few strikes, Bishop recovers and he hits Grimm with a death valley driver variation. Bishop then hits Grimm with a few fireman’s carry power slams for a three count.
Winner: Marlion Bishop, your new PPPW Champion
PPPW Women’s Championship: Tyra Russamee (C) vs. Nikki Chase w/Logan Chase
The match begins with Russamee cracking a swinging Chase with a few strikes of her own, Russamee mounts Chase in the corner while landing more strikes. Russamee then hits Chase with a spear for a near fall, Russamee gets Chase to her knees before attacking her with kicks. Russamee follows up by landing a bulldog on Chase for a near fall, Russamee also catches Chase in a crucifix for a near fall. Russamee continues catching Chase in some rolls ups for more pin attempts, Chase blocks a roll up from Russamee before leaving the ring to argue with Logan. Russamee then drop kicks Chase into Logan before getting her back into the ring, Chase kicks the rope into the face of Russamee before dragging her back into the ring. Chase hits Russamee with a back breaker for a near fall, Chase follows up by choking Russamee on the top rope. Logan interferes and he chokes Russamee while Chase distracts the ref, Chase traps Russamee in the corner before landing shoulder thrusts to her midsection.
Chase sets up for a face buster before tossing Russamee across the ring, Chase stands over Russamee before landing a butt smash to her lower back. Chase keeps Russamee down while applying a camel clutch to her, Russamee gets free and she rolls up Chase for a near fall. Chase recovers and she hits Russamee with a sling blade for a near fall, Chase keeps Russamee down while getting her in a Boston crab. Russamee gets free and she kicks Chase into the corner, Chase fights back by dropping Russamee with a pump kick. Chase catches a leaping Russamee before landing a slam for a near fall, Chase keeps Russamee down while landing a few rolling sentons for a near fall. Russamee avoids a clothesline before attacking Chase with chops, Chase and Russamee exchange a few holds until Chase goes down. Russamee and Chase exchange some clotheslines, Logan interferes and the referee breaks that up. Logan interferes again and the ref breaks it up again, Russamee goes for a pin on Chase and Logan interferes for a third time.
The referee has had enough of Logan and he sends him backstage, Chase then hits Russamee with an inverted x-factor for a near fall. Russamee recovers and she gets Chase in the lotus lock to force a tap out.
Winner: Tyra Russamee, still your PPPW Women’s Champion
Omega 9 Tournament Finals: The Fallen Flower Kikyo vs. Mazzerati vs. Gypsy Mac
The match begins with all the wrestlers playing to the crowd for a long time, Mac and Mazzerati double team Kikyo to start the physicality. Kikyo recovers and she sends both opponents out of the ring, Kikyo goes to the ring apron after faking a dive and poking both opponents in the eyes. Kikyo then cracks both opponents with some headbutts, Mazzerati and Kikyo have a striking exchange on the arena floor. Mac and Mazzerati work together again to nail Kikyo with some strikes on the arena floor, all three competitors continue their brawl while moving throughout the crowd. Kikyo suplexes Mazzerati on the arena floor, Kikyo drags her opponents back to the ringside area before sending both of them into the ring. Mac and Mazzerati recover to nail Kikyo with a variety of kicks, Mazzerati turns on Mac and she sends her into the corner. Mac catches Mazzerati in a sunset flip before landing a flat liner for a near fall, Mazzerati fights back and she nails Mac with a sole food from the ring apron. Mazzerati then chokes both of her opponents on the bottom rope, Mac recovers and she cracks Mazzerati with a few strikes. Mazzerati misses a head kick and Mac rolls her up for a near fall, Mazzerati then cracks Mac with a knee lift to the head for a near fall.
Kikyo returns and she kicks Mazzerati in the face before nailing Mac with a head kick, Kikyo picks up Mazzerati and Mac nails her with a spear from out of nowhere. The women have a three way striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Kikyo then sends both opponents into the corner while landing avalanches and butt smashes. Mazzerati gets up and she nails Mac with a knee lift to the head, Kikyo grabs Mac and she hangs her upside down in the corner. Kikyo then hits Mazzerati with a fallaway slam onto Mac before pinning Mac for the three count (Eliminated: Gypsy Mac), the match resumes with Mazzerati cracking Kikyo with a few strikes for a near fall. Mazzerati knocks Kikyo down before attacking her previously injured knee, Mazzerati keeps Kikyo down while choking her. Kikyo fights back and she nails Mazzerati with some chops, Mazzerati gets Kikyo in a seated position before slapping her in the face for a near fall. Mazzerati again goes after the injured knee of Kikyo, Mazzerati then hits the injured leg of Kikyo with a DDT for a near fall. Kikyo catches the leg of a kicking Mazzerati before landing a release German suplex, Kikyo follows up by dropping Mazzerati a few more times.
Kikyo then lands a corner clothesline on Mazzerati before following up with a running hip attack for a near fall, Mazzerati recovers and she hits Kikyo with a chop block followed by the Rising Wizard for a near fall. Kikyo recovers to hit Mazzerati with a pump handle DDT for a near fall, Kikyo sets up for a Samoan drop and Mazzerati gets free by raking her eyes. Mazzerati then hits Kikyo with a head kick before landing a right, Kikyo flips off Mazzerati and Mazzerati kicks her in the head again. Kikyo recovers and she hits a charging Mazzerati with a Michinoku Driver for a three count (Eliminated: Mazzerati).
Winner: The Fallen Flower Kikyo
After the match, The Fallen Flower Kikyo is presented with a plaque for winning the tournament. Kikyo gives a brief speech as the PPPW roster surrounds her in the ring.
