World Tag League Matches:
5 - Gabriel Kidd and Alex Coughlin vs. Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki
Kidd comes to the ring in street clothes. He said he is pissed off because he and Coughlin are not winning Tag League. He challenges Suzuki-Gun to a fight outside (street fight match). Archer and Suzuki grab chairs and meet them in the crowd. All four men battle with chairs at ringside. Chaos. Suzuki hits a Gotch Piledriver on Kidd while Archer hits a Black Out on Coughlin.
Archer pins Coughlin.
Suzuki-Gun finish with 8 points.
Kidd and Coughlin finish with 2 points.
Good twist by turning a meaningless match into a fun brawl. There were some timing and positioning issues by Kidd and Coughlin, but it is a long tournament and everyone is tired. Kidd has a promising future with his charisma. Coughlin looks like a beast. I expect them to do great things in the future of New Japan and New Japan Strong.
6 - Toru Yano and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Aaron Henare and Great O-Khan
United Empire hits an Imperial Drop on Yano.
Henare pins Yano
United Empire finish with 10 points.
Tanahashi and Yano finish with 8 points.
7 - SANADA and Tetsuya Naito vs. Yujiro Takahashi and EVIL
Lots of interference by House of Torture. SHO hits a low blow on SANADA. Naito chases SHO out of the ring. EVIL hits Everything is Evil on Naito. Yujiro hits Big Juice on SANADA.
Yujiro pins SANADA.
House of Torture finishes with 6 points.
SANADA and Naito finishes with 12 points.
The winner of the main event will face Aussie Open for the World Tag League 2022 Trophy.
8 - YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls
Good back and forth match. Goto and YOSHI-HASHI had to pull out every move in their arsenal.
Bishomon hits Shoto on Nicholls.
Goto pins Nicholls.
Bishomon finish with 14 points.
TMDK finish with 12 points.
Aussie Open will face Bishomon on December 14, for the World Tag League 2022 Trophy. Bishomon won World Tag League 2021.
