Wrestling Open 49

12/8/22 Worcester, MA

Streaming on IWTV.live

It’s absolutely insane as I realize we are approaching one full year of Wrestling Open’s weekly ragers. I’m home tonight (thanks so much to whatever respiratory THING is floating around this week) but I get the dulcet tones of Paul Crockett and Denver Colorado (the man not the place). But first our Spotlight match!

Spotlight Match: Brother Greatness vs Prince Ahmed

I love this matchup. Good back and forth scrambling and pin attempts. BG is scared to death and calls Ahmed “a dark monster from the Shadow Realm”. What. BG trying to get his catchphrase in but the crowd praises the dark lord instead. Ahmed comes running into a dropkick and BG is just frustrated with all of us. He tries chopping Ahmed up but that’s not working at all. Spinning facebuster to the knee doesn’t put the holy man down. BG fights off a powerbomb and blasts a kick to the side of the head to get the pin! This was fun stuff.

Winner: Brother Greatness

And we’re liiiiive on IWTV! The Eliminator Cup Tag Team Championships are on the line. Will Miracle Generation stay at the top of the food chain or will be have to watch a pair of s*** cowboys take the medals back home to New Jersey. Rich Palladino is our announcer! Let’s goooooo!

Match 1: Big Bacon Brad Hollister vs “The Pitbull” Ray Pittman

Bacon thinks he’s gonna run over Pittman and hits a huge German…but Pittman is right up and unloading. This is more fight than Hollister expected clearly. Big STO for two! Hollister catches Pittman trying a codebreaker…big slam, senton. The tide has turned quickly. Bacon has it slowed down now and is taking his time on this beatdown. Hard chops in the corner. Bacon in his face….clotheslines comeback! Pittman hits a hangman’s ddt! Hollister tries the jackhammer but Pittman reverses to a codebreaker! Bacon rolls to the apron, Pittman tries that ddt again but Hollister decks him and hits the deadlift superplex over the ropes for the win!

Winner: Brad Hollister

Brad has the mic and says this whole place is his. This ring, this crap town, these terrible fans? All his. He is never underestimating anyone ever again and makes the statement that he’s coming for everyone.

Match 2: Anastasia Morningstar vs Shannon Lavangie

The crowd thinks Ana is gonna kill Lavangie. Shannon definitely looks hesitant and tries to stay out of trouble but she can’t do anything to stun the demoness. She screams and sends Shannon to the floor, Shannon baits her to the floor and hits a dropkick…and promptly gets faceplanted into the apron. Morningstar unloading with shots in the corner. Big suplex for two. Lavangie with a desperate kick! A stunner! A running boot finally drops Anastasia for a whole one count. Shannon to the top but Anastasia catches her and hits a swinging facebuster for the win!

Winner: Anastasia Morningstar

Match 3: Aaron Cademia vs “Kingpin” Brian Milonas

Welcome to Worcester, Aaron Cademia….you are being fed to a returning behemoth. Apparently, Cademia had a good showing at a tryout in the afternoon….so good that apparently he’s been set up for murder. Milonas tries to offer him a way out but Aaron says no. He tries his best shots but Milonas blasts him. Big toss across the ring. Body slam. Suplex. Milonas is just slow rolling over this poor kid. Big shots in the corner…Milonas just sitting on him in the corner. Cademia tries to come back and takes Milonas to a knee….Brian just unloads and hits a swinging uranage for the win.

Winner: Brian Milonas

Brian has the mic. He doesn’t do “bangers”. He squashes people. Last time he was here, he liked getting paid by Brad Hollister. He’s addicted to money and says to the locker than the Kingpin is open for business. Sounds like Milonas wants to be a problem solver?

Rich Palladino brings out B3CCA. The “international pop star” demanded some

Interview time and the crowd truly “loves” her. What’s on her mind? She’s calling herself “Beh-three-ka”? That’s how you pronounce that? Anyways, she has to fight SLADE on New Years and her entourage has basically abandoned her in fear of their lives. She offers a pop concert instead. She tries to get Wrestling Open officials to switch her for Atticus Cogar. Rich Palladino goes to talk to the powers that be…it WILL be SLADE vs Atticus Cogar…VS B3CCA! It’s a triple threat! B3CCA IS FURIOUS AND STARTS THROWING HER BOOTS AT RICH! This didn’t go her way at all! XD

Match 4: Fancy Ryan Clancy vs Tommy Grayson (w/ Alex Cypher)

Danny Miles is out sick tonight with the best of 5 series on the line. Clancy doesn’t want to win by forfeit but that’s not Fancy. He still wants to compete and the Nu Grayson is more than willing. Also did Tommy Grayson almost fight a fan? Anyways, Clancy wins the posedown but that doesn’t save him from getting kneed in the gut. Clancy with a reversal to a slam. Cypher distracts the ref and Tommy sends Clancy to the floor. Slingshot splash for two. The crowd trying to get in Tommy’s head and confuse him for his absent brother, JP. Clancy almost decked by Cypher but rolls up Tommy. Clancy tosses Tommy from the top. High cross body! Big dropkick! Big pose Monkey flip! Kick out! Clancy looking for the side Russian…Tommy with a shot to the throat and tries a rollup with a handful of tights but it’s right in front of the ref. Tommy swinging high but Clancy ducking and hits a clean ddt for the win!

Winner: Fancy Ryan Clancy

Match 5: Milk Chocolate (Randy Summers & Brandon Watts) vs Mutually Assured Destruction (Rip Byson & Perry Von Vicious)

DC makes a point to pump the Tag Team Endurance show which was put up for free on YouTube. In the meantime, Watts bodyshames Rip Byson. Also Milk Chocolate lotions up in front of the crowd. What is happened. So much lube. Is this a Massage NV match? It does no good as Rip chops Watts down and takes his shirt off to the delight of the crowd. Summers wants Perry but that seems like a bad choice. He just can’t seem to land a shot that is worth anything on the big man. Oh he tries a slam? Haha no. MC with a double cross body but end up in a collider. MC is unraveling and frustrated. Summers with a dropkick to the hip out of the blue and they start to swarm on Byson. They keep Rip down for….one. Lol. Tag to Perry…helicopter crucifix! Watts sent flying and Summers eats a burning hammer from Rip for the three. This was super fun.

Winners: MAD

Match 6: Victor Chase vs Shawn Knyte

I guess the Haven is a little upset with Brick City after their attack? Chase powders immediately as Shawn wants to fight NOW. Chase back in and Knyte just unloading…Chase sent to the corner with arm drags. Chase is staggered hard…until he catches Knyte with a big boot out of the air and crushes him to the mat. Good effort, Shawn. Big brick city slam. Knyte choked on the ropes. He grinds Knyte to the mat and tries to take his air. Big Michanoku driver but Knyte twitches and gets a shoulder up. Huge lariat. Knyte with a trip and Chase eats buckle. Kick out the knee, superkick! Tornado ddt off the rope! Frogsplash off the top! Chase kicks out! Chase blocks another ddt but sent to the corner, the ref in the center of the scuffle but Chase sneaks an eye rake in there over the top and starches Knyte with a fire thunder driver for the win. Knyte looks DEAD.

Winner: Victor Chase

Match 7: Pedro Dones & The Mane Event (Midas Black & Jay Lyon) vs Love Doug, Ichiban and 50 Cal

50 Cal is certainly some big backup to help Doug and Ichiban get a measure of payback against Dones and crew. Ichiban goes head to head with Pedro, good scramble but Dones is trying to work that shoulder early. Doug wants the prom pose with Mane Event but they ain’t having that. Ichiban with a high cross body! Midas with a double stomp! 50’s in! He’s running over the Shot Squad but they send him flying to the floor. They try to take Ichiban and Doug out but 50 hits a powerbomb to Lyon and gets Doug in there! Shotgun combo bulldog to mane event! Big boot to Pedro! Lyon with a dropkick to the back of the head and we only have one minute left?!? This is breaking down into a brawl, Pedro left alone with Doug and Ichiban…Brad Hollister is out here! Ichiban distracted and sent flying! Doug is blindsided by Mane Event with a grand finale and get the pin! They stole it!

Winners: Mane Event & Pedro Dones

It’s World Class time. The crowd is none too happy that Channing Thomas sent Alec Price out of Worcester “FOREVER”. Of course, Bakabella is onto newer things. There’s a new star on the rise that World Class would like to cut down…the newest star of Wrestling Open…BOBBY BUFFET! Who?

Match 8: “World Class” Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella) vs Bobby Buffet

Channing hits a shotgun dropkick and lands the piledriver. That’s it. 18 seconds.

Winner: World Class Channing Thomas

Crockett asks if this is the new World Class strategy, beating up all the new boys. The crowd chants for Ultimo X…Channing says he doesn’t care and demands he comes out. X is here!

Match 9: “World Class” Channing Thomas (w/ Sidney Bakabella) vs Ultimo X

So uh….does Channing know what he just got into? He tries a running knee…X dodges…he hits a SUPRIZE KICK?!? He gets the three! This is Channing Thomas’s first singles loss and it happened in TEN SECONDS! THE STREAK IS OVAHHHHHHH!!!!

Winner: Ultimo X

Bakabella is tending to his man and X hits another…oh this is called the “Laotian Commotion”…not a Suprize Kick. Nope. Different move entirely. Anyways, Bakabella is laid out too! X wipes his feet and celebrates as World Class lie dead on the mat. Fantastic moment! Huge pop!

Main Event: Miracle Generation (Dustin Waller & Kylon King)(c) vs The Stetson Ranch (Steven Stetson & BRG) (for the Saturn & Kronus Eliminator Cup Tag Team Championships)

The medals are on the line! The crowd has their backs turned on Stetson with their birds held high (as is right and proper). They spell his name. They remark on his lack of prowess with the ladies. Miracle Generation lets the crowd fire up on this and get in Stetson’s head.

We just got word that IWTV has stripped Krule of the IWTV championship? More on that here:

Back in the ring, we hit the five minute mark as these teams haven’t done much but this room is electric. Tandem shots to the arms of BRG, wheelbarrow splash and running shooting star! Kick out! Stetson going for the cheap stuff, tosses Dustin off the top into a superkick from BRG. Huge high angle leg drop to the back of Dustin’s head. Kylon trying to wills his partner back to life. Ten minutes down. This contest is flying. Dustin caught on the top again by Stetson, spine buster and crab from BRG! Twisting escape! Tag to Kylon….NO, Stetson pulls Kylon off the apron! The ranch hit a spine buster neck breaker combo and Waller has to kick out yet again. Stetson measuring Walker for the northern lariat…Waller ducks! Dodges Stetson! Dodges BRG! Tag to Kylon! Stetson dropped with the exploder! Brain buster to BRG! Stetson makes the save! Stetson blasts the Northern! Kylon makes the save at the last second! Stetson with a Samoan drop to Waller! BRG in….running forearms! Stetson caught into a power plex but BRG makes the blind tag and Stetson isn’t legal anymore. 15 minutes! BRG tries to steal the pin with feet on the ropes! He comes flying into a cutter! Miracle wheelbarrow into a cutter on BRG! Waller flies to Stetson on the floor as Kylon hits a stiff German to BRG to get the three, keep their titles and retain their spot in the T4 Summit at the WRESTIVAL! This ruled. Great efforts from both teams to close out a wild week of Wrestling Open!

Winners: Miracle Generation
