GCW “Settlement Series 8” Live Coverage

- Emil Jay welcomes everybody to tonight’s event, which is being dubbed the “Shoot Interview Series.”

- Marcus Mathers gets the first shoot interview question about Bobby Orlando’s “suspect” relationship with Bobby Jr., Mathers says he heard about the suspect stuff and he won’t say anything else. Bobby Orlando gets the next question and he gets asked about Mather’s getting ahead because he is a second generation wrestler, Orlando hands the microphone to Bobby Jr. and Bobby Jr. apparently said some nasty things.

Marcus Mathers vs. Bobby Orlando

The match begins with Orlando getting Mathers in a headlock, Mathers gets free and Orlando nails him with a shoulder tackle. Mathers recovers and he nails Orlando with a shoulder tackle of his own, Mathers catches Orlando in a sunset flip for a near fall. Orlando briefly leaves the ring before returning to get Mathers in another headlock, Mathers gets free and they criss cross until Mathers nails Orlando with some strikes. Orlando tricks Mathers before dropping him with a chop, Orlando follows up by exchanging arm drags with Mathers. Mathers then hits Orlando with a snap mare followed by a northern lights suplex for a near fall, Orlando leaves the ring and he returns to the ring to avoid a suicide dive. Orlando tosses Bobby Jr. at Mathers and Mathers sends him out of the ring before landing a suicide dive, Mathers follows Orlando around the arena floor while attacking him with strikes. Orlando fights back and he accidentally chops the ring post, Mathers grabs a water bottle and he hits Orlando with it. 

Orlando gets back in the ring and Mathers follows him in there before eating some jabs, Orlando traps Mathers in the corner before landing an eye poke followed by an Irish whip into the opposite corner for a near fall. Mathers fights back and he cracks Orlando with a series of strikes followed by a clothesline, Mathers then hits Orlando with a springboard stunner followed by a German suplex for a near fall. Mathers looks for a piledriver and Orlando backs him into the corner, Orlando misses The Deal and Mathers fails at a cutter attempt. Orlando hits his second attempt at The Deal on Mathers for a near fall, Orlando misses a springboard moonsault attempt before grabbing Bobby Jr. Mathers still manages to hit Orlando with a power bomb before hitting Bobby Jr. with a Shadow Driver, Mathers then hits Orlando with a 450 splash for a three count.

Winner: Marcus Mathers

Emil Jay asks Gabriel Sky & Percy Ryan if The Mane Event are legit, Ryan grabs the microphone and he mocks his partner before mocking The Mane Event. Jay then asks The Mane Event about their opponents, Midas Black says he respects Gabriel Skye and he promises that Percy Ryan will be the star attraction tonight.

Gabriel Sky & Percy Ryan vs. The Mane Event (Midas Black & Jay Lyon)

The match begins with Black and Ryan doing some chain wrestling, Black gets Ryan in a headlock and Ryan gets free to get Black in a headlock. Black gets free and Ryan drops him with a shoulder tackle, Black recovers and he trips up Ryan before walking on his back. Black then hits Ryan with some arm drags and a drop kick, Skye and Lyon are tagged in by their respective partners. Lyon and Skye go through a series of chain wrestling maneuvers before a standoff takes place, Skye eventually knocks Lyon into the corner before landing a running double knee strike, Ryan tags himself in and Lyon corners him before tagging Black in. The Mane Event then hit Ryan with a few double teams moves for a near fall, Ryan fights back and Black corners him again before tagging Lyon in. Lyon and Black again hit Ryan with some double team holds, Ryan recovers and he sends Lyon into the ropes before landing a clothesline to the back of his head for a near fall. Ryan follows up by choking Lyon along the middle rope, Skye tags in and Ryan immediately tags himself back in.

Lyon goes after Skye and Ryan attacks him from behind, Ryan keeps Lyon down while applying a modified STF to him. Lyon fights back and Ryan hits him with a splash for a near fall, Skye is tagged in and Lyon fights back against both of them. Skye recovers and he drops Lyon before getting him in a cross face, Lyon gets free and Skye drops him with a spinning heel kick. Skye stands Lyon up before cracking him with strikes and a northern lights suplex for a near fall, Ryan tags himself in and he drops Lyon with a forearm strike before arguing with Skye. Ryan then hits Lyon with a suplex for another near fall, Skye tags in and Lyon escapes their grasps to land a rolling thunder on both opponents. Black tags in and he quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team, Lyon returns to hit Ryan with a Lyonsault and Black hits Ryan with a top rope elbow drop. Skye returns and he quickly gets sent out of the ring by Lyon, Skye then sends Lyon into the ring post. Ryan tags in and he works with Skye to hit Black with a double suplex for a near fall, Black fights back and Ryan tags Skye back in.

Skye eventually nails Black with a falcon arrow before eating a knee strike from Lyon, Ryan returns and he attacks Lyon. Black gets up and he crushes Ryan with an assisted spear, Skye returns and Black cracks him with some strikes. Ryan tags in as Skye traps Black on the top rope, Ryan then drops Black with an enziguri followed by a frog splash from the tagged in Skye for a near fall. Ryan tags in and Black escapes a double suplex attempt to tag Lyon in, Lyon quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Lyon then causes Ryan to accidentally hit Skye with a forearm strike, Ryan grabs the ropes during a pin attempt on Lyon and Skye breaks it all up. Lyon knocks Ryan into Skye before tagging Black in, The Mane Event hit Ryan with an elevated face buster for a three count.

Winners: The Mane Event (Midas Black & Jay Lyon)

- Emil Jay asks Griffin McCoy if he likes Terry Yaki, McCoy doesn’t know why Terry Yaki calls himself that and about inclusion since they are both Asian-America before saying he’ll win the match tonight. Jay then asks Yaki about whether or not McCoy is the top guy, Yaki says McCoy is standing in his way.

Griffin McCoy vs. Terry Yaki

The match begins with McCoy scoring a takedown on Yaki before working over his arm, Yaki gets free and he trips McCoy up before attacking his leg. McCoy gets free and he gets on top of Yaki while looking for a roll up, McCoy gets up and he drags Yaki back to the ground while going after his arm. Yaki gets free and he quickly catches McCoy in a head scissors, McCoy gets free and he traps the legs of Yaki before pulling back on both of his arms. McCoy and Yaki exchange some roll ups for a few near falls, McCoy then cracks Yaki with a few strikes followed by a slam. McCoy keeps Yaki down while wrenching on his arm, Yaki gets free and he nails a charging McCoy with a drop kick. Yaki drops McCoy in the corner before landing a leaping elbow strike followed by springboard senton for a near fall, Yaki holds McCoy down while applying a kravat to him. McCoy gets free and he avoids a drop kick from Yaki before applying a Boston crab to him, McCoy transitions to an inverted pendulum hold on Yaki before applying an STF to him. Yaki eventually gets to the ropes to break the submission attempt, McCoy then hits Yaki with a slam for a near fall. Yaki tries fighting back and McCoy nails him with a back elbow strike for a near fall, McCoy stands Yaki up before dropping him with a few mid kicks. 

Yaki gets back up and he levels McCoy with a plethora of strikes, Yaki gets a charging McCoy trapped in the ropes before landing a DDT followed by a falcon arrow for a near fall. Yaki looks for a draping cutter and McCoy gets free, Yaki recovers and he hits McCoy with a draping Michinoku Driver for a near fall. McCoy avoids a leap from Yaki before kicking him in the head, McCoy then hits Yaki with an exploder suplex followed by a top rope cross body block for a near fall. McCoy follows up by hitting Yaki with a sit out power bomb for another near fall, McCoy looks for a half and half before Yaki blocks it. McCoy then hits Yaki with a spinning kick to the midsection, Yaki avoids a charging McCoy before drop kicking him out of the ring. Yaki follows up by hitting McCoy with a suicide dive, Yaki gets McCoy back in the ring before landing a springboard tornado DDT for a near fall. Yaki keeps McCoy down while cracking him with more strikes, McCoy and Yaki have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Yaki looks for a modified fisherman suplex and McCoy defends by landing elbow strikes, Yaki escapes from the grasp of McCoy to land an enziguri.

Yaki recovers to hit McCoy with an arm drag before another striking exchange breaks out, McCoy avoids a forearm strike from yaki before eating a discus forearm strike. McCoy recovers to hit Yaki with a half and half followed by a springboard enziguri for a three count.

Winner: Griffin McCoy

- Emil Jay asks Jimmy Lloyd about DJ Hyde and Lloyd says Charlie Tiger sucks before saying some nasty things about Hyde. Jay asks Tiger about Lloyd calling him a bad worker, Tiger says Lloyd has no right to say the things he said about him. 

Jimmy Lloyd vs. Charlie Tiger

The match begins with Tiger scoring a takedown on Lloyd, Lloyd gets back up and he gets Tiger in a headlock. Tiger backs Lloyd into the corner and he separates from him, Lloyd sends a charging Tiger out of the ring before landing a suicide dive. Lloyd and Tiger have a brawl on the arena floor, Lloyd grabs Tiger and he sends him into a section of fence that is against the wall. Lloyd then picks Tiger up and he back suplexes him onto the hardest part of the ring, Tiger rolls into the ring while Lloyd throws some chairs into the ring. Tiger avoids a swinging Lloyd to trip him up and send him face first into a chair, Tiger scores another takedown on Lloyd before applying a headlock to him. Lloyd gets free and Tiger cracks him with a forearm strike followed by a knee strike and suplex for a near fall, Tiger follows up by hitting Lloyd with a back suplex for a near fall. Tiger keeps Lloyd down while landing knee drops to his midsection, Lloyd tries fighting back before Lloyd drops him and lands a cross body block for a near fall. Tiger keeps Lloyd down while applying a camel clutch to him, Lloyd gets free and he nails Tiger with some strikes.

Tiger fights back and Lloyd nails him with a super kick followed by a flying knee strike, Lloyd then hits Tiger with a back drop driver. Lloyd and Tiger make it to the ring apron before exchanging more strikes, Tiger avoids a charging Lloyd and Lloyd crashes into the ring post. Lloyd still manages to knock Tiger back into the ring after landing a super kick, Lloyd goes for a chair shot and Tiger blocks it the first time before eating one on the second attempt. Lloyd goes for an Assault Driver and Tiger escapes to hit him with a death valley driver onto a chair for a near fall, Tiger grabs a steel chair and he hits Lloyd with it before landing a headbutt for a near fall. Tiger locks Lloyd in the Tazmission afterwards and Lloyd taps out.

Winner: Charlie Tiger

- Emil Jay says CPA and Jae Fre will have a rap battle, CPA goes first and he says a bunch of inaudible stuff before handing the mic back to Jay. Fre goes next and he insults CPA before saying something about GCW owner Brett Lauderdale.

CPA vs. Jae Fre

The match begins with CPA tripping up a charging Fre, Fre quickly gets up and he slams CPA before landing some strikes. Fre knocks CPA into the corner before landing more strikes Fre leaves the ring and he tries heading backstage before CPA dives off the ring apron onto him. CPA sits Fre on a chair and Fre gets a fans in between them before shoving CPA into the ring post, Fre gets CPA back in the ring and he lands a corner spear. Fre then nails a cornered CPA with an enziguri followed by an exploder suplex for a near fall, CPA fights back and Fre hits him with a series of suplexes. CPA counters a suplex with a small package for a near fall, Fre again goes for his series of suplexes before slamming CPA. Fre then hits CPA with a standing moonsault for another near fall, CPA fights back and Fre misses an avalanche attempt. CPA also avoids a corner spear from Fre before dropping him with axe handle smashes, CPA then hits Fre with a code breaker. CPA follows it up by hitting Fre with a 619, Fre leaves the ring and CPA follows him out there before landing a running punch to his face.

CPA goes for another running punch on Fre and he lands it, CPA gets Fre in the ring before sending him back out. CPA returns Fre to the ring before going to the top rope, CPA then hits Fre with a missile drop kick for a near fall. Fre fights back and he manages to hit CPA with a super kick followed by a sit out death valley driver for a near fall, Fre misses a lariat and CPA misses a stunner before eating a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Fre climbs the ropes and CPA follows him up there, Fre knocks CPA off the ropes before missing a moonsault attempt. CPA then hits Fre with a power bomb before missing a middle rope missile drop kick, CPA catches a charging Fre to land a death valley driver for a three count.

Winner: CPA

- Emil Jay asks Rocket about his theme song and he mocks J Boujji’s theme, which was John Cena’s WWE entrance music. Jay asks Sean Campbell about his theme and Campbell says he discovered his theme song while at a McDonald’s, Jay asks Boujji about his theme song and he mocks his opponents before getting physical with Jay. 

Rocket vs. Sean Campbell vs. J Boujji

The match begins with Rocket drop kicking Boujji into the corner, Rocket knocks Boujji out of the ring a short time later. Campbell goes after Rocket and he traps him in the corner while landing strikes, Campbell keps Rocket cornered while landing face washes. Campbell then hits Rocket with a senton for a near fall, Boujji returns and he slaps Campbell after attacking Rocket. Campbell fights back and Boujji knocks him out of the ring, Boujji drops Rocket with a forearm strike before leaving the ring and sending Campbell into the ring post. Boujji returns to the ring and he attacks a downed Rocket with a choke, Boujji drops Rocket in the corner again before landing a cannonball. Boujji follows up with a suplex on Rocket for a near fall, Campbell tries getting back in the ring and Boujji knocks him back to the arena floor. Boujji again traps Rocket in the corner before landing some strikes, Rocket fights back and Boujji crotches him on the top rope. Boujji gets Rocket off the ropes before landing a tombstone piledriver for a near fall, Campbell hangs Rocket upside down in the corner before dropping Boujji a few times.

Campbell then hits Boujji with a pump handle uranage for a near fall, Rocket returns and he nails Boujji with some strikes. Rocket then drops Campbell before landing a 619, Rocket then hits Campbell with a sky twister press for a near fall. Boujji returns and Rocket avoids his curb stomp to land some forearm strikes. Boujji then hits Rocket with a stunner, Rocket avoids a leaping Boujji before landing multiple release German suplexes and an enziguri for a near fall. Rocket goes for a top rope double knee strike and Boujji gets out of the way, Boujji then smashes the knee of Rocket on the mat below. Campbell returns and Boujji quickly nails him with a DDT, Boujji goes for a pin on Campbell and Rocket distracts the ref. Boujji goes after the referee before hitting Campbell with a curb stomp, Boujji then gets a near fall on Rocket after landing a low blow. Boujji then hits Rocket with a curb stomp for a three count.

Winner: J Boujji

- Emil Jay asks Mecca what he thinks about Jordan Oliver’s 2022, Mecca insults Jay before saying he thinks Oliver is one of the best around before saying he’ll beat him tonight. Jay then asks Oliver about facing Mecca tonight, but Mecca jumps him before he can answer.

Mecca vs. Jordan Oliver

The match begins with Mecca attacking a cornered Oliver with a bunch of strikes, Mecca then attacks Oliver’s previously injured arm. Mecca follows up by dropping Oliver with a hard Irish whip into the corner, Mecca corners Oliver while attacking the injured arm. Oliver fights back and Mecca cracks him with more strikes, Oliver recovers to hit Mecca with an arm drag followed by a drop kick. Oliver goes for a tiger driver and his injured arm gives out on him, Mecca then sends Oliver shoulder first into the corner. Oliver leaves the ring and Mecca smashes his arm into the hardest part of the ring, Oliver fights back and Mecca attacks the injured arm again before sending him into the ring post. Oliver gets back in the ring and Mecca gets a near fall on him, Mecca then lands a butt smash on the injured arm of Oliver. Oliver’s arm gives out again and Mecca hits him with a draping cutter for a near fall, Mecca keeps Oliver down while applying a nerve hold to him. Oliver fights back and Mecca nails him with an atomic drop, Mecca then hits Oliver with a knee lift followed by a leaping forearm strike for a near fall. 

Mecca keeps Oliver down before applying the cobra clutch to him, Oliver gets free and he sends Mecca face first into the top turnbuckle. Oliver catches Mecca in a roll up before landing a clothesline, Oliver then drops Mecca again for a near fall. Oliver’s arm gives out again before catching a leaping Johnson with a side slam for a near fall, Oliver sets up for a tiger driver and the injured arm gives out again. Mecca recovers and he sends Oliver shoulder first into the mat, Oliver and Mecca have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Mecca ends the exchange by catching Oliver in a cross face chicken wing, Oliver gets free and Mecca shoves him into the ref. Mecca kicks Oliver in the balls before reapplying the chicken wing, Oliver eventually gets to the ropes to break the submission. Oliver and Mecca have another striking exchange until Oliver cracks him with a Cleopatra, Oliver then hits Mecca with an Acid Kick followed by a tiger driver for a near fall. Oliver then hits Mecca with a super kick, Oliver goes for a Clout Cutter and Mecca counters with a sleeper hold. Oliver counters that with a roll up on Mecca for a three count.

Winner: Jordan Oliver

- Emil Jay goes to ask Face a question and Face says something inaudible, Duran says Barbarian Man is not a friend of his. Jay then asks Redfield a question and he says none of his opponents are on his level, Man then says something in a language that only he understands. 

Face vs. Tarzan Duran vs. Ryan Redfield vs. Barbarian Man

The match begins with Man attacking Face with a shotgun drop kick, while Duran tosses Redfield out of the ring. Man and Duran then have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Duran nails Man with a super kick before choking him on the top rope. Duran keeps Man by the ropes while nailing him with more strikes, Man fights back and he gets double teams by Duran and Redfield. Face returns and he hits Redfield and Duran with a double clothesline, Face mounts a downed Redfield while landing ground and pound. Redfield and Duran work together to get Face out of the ring, Redfield and Duran have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Redfield ends the exchange by hitting Duran with an overhead belly to belly suplex, Redfield follows up with a release German suplex on Duran followed by a Finlay Roll for a near fall. Face returns and he hits Redfield with a knee strike followed by a death valley driver, Man returns and he has a striking exchange with Face. Man ends the exchange by hitting Face with a choke slam for a near fall, Duran and Redfield return to double team Man. Man fights back to drop Duran and Redfield with a double shoulder tackle, Man then clotheslines himself and Face out of the ring before brawling to the backstage area.

Redfield and Duran have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Redfield ends the exchange by nailing Duran with a discus clothesline. Redfield then hits Duran with a corner clothesline that knocks him to the ring apron, Duran then hits Redfield with a slingshot neck breaker followed by a pop up super kick for a near fall. Duran looks for a straight jacket neck breaker and Redfield counters with a pair of uranages for a three count.

Winner: Brian Redfield

- Emil Jay asks Declan Grant about Matt Tremont and Grant says Tremont can become a great deathmatch wrestler. Jay asks Tremont about whether or not he has what it takes to be a deathmatch wrestler, Tremont says f*ck the haters.

Light Tubes Deathmatch: Matt Tremont vs. Declan Grant

The match begins with Grant getting Tremont in a headlock, Tremont gets free and he trades shoulder tackles with Grant. Grant again gets Tremont in a headlock and Tremont gets free before landing a shoulder block, Grant passes Tremont a lightube before they break them over each other’s heads. Tremont and Grant grab more light tubes and they break them all over each other’s heads, Grant goes after Tremont and he attacks him with strikes before exchanging more light tube shots. Tremont and Grant leave the ring before sitting down and having a striking exchange, Grant ends the exchange by sending Tremont into the ring post. Grant grabs a steel chair and he hits Tremont in the back with it before landing more strikes, Tremont recovers and he throws a bunch of chairs at Grant. Grant gets Tremont back in the ring after hitting him with a chair shot to the head, Grant traps Tremont in the ropes while tearing away at the cuts on his head. Grant finds a broken light tube and he stabs Tremont with it, Grant grabs a steel chair and he nails Tremont with it in the back and head. 

Tremont steals the chair from Grant and he cracks him in the head with it, Grant fights back and Tremont nails him with a power slam on a steel chair for a near fall. Tremont grabs a steel chair and he throws it at the head of Grant, Tremont grabs light tube bundles and he places them on a downed Grant. Tremont climbs the ropes and Grant throws light tubes at him, Tremont falls down and he lands on Grant for a near fall. Tremont then hits Grant with a package piledriver on the light tubes for a three count.

Winner: Matt Tremont
