By Mike Johnson on 2022-12-06 11:37:00 is sad to pass along that legendary boxing referee Mills Lane, who made several appearances in professional wrestling, has passed away at the age of 85.  Mills became infamous for his "Let's Get It On" catchphrase at the start of boxing fights and refereed a number of legendary moments, including Mike Tyson vs. Evander Holyfield, where he DQ'd Tyson for biting Holyfield's ear.

Lane appeared on WWE's Monday Night Raw in 1998, making a cameo on the Titantron to issue an official ruling on an issue between Steve Austin and the McMahons, obviously siding with Austin, ruling that he deserved a WWF Championship match against The Rock.  At the time, he presided over a courtroom reality series Judge Mills Lane.

Lane later appeared, live inside the ring, as a guest referee for a Roddy Piper vs. Buff Bagwell boxing match at the 1999 WCW Bash at the Beach PPV.

Lane was also immortalized, in claymation form, on MTV's Celebrity Death Match, which featured appearances from several WWF personalities, including Steve Austin and Mankind.

Lane suffered a debilitating stroke in 2002.

Everyone at sends our deepest condolences to Mills' family, friends and fans.
