WOW - Women of Wrestling aired over the weekend. Our commentary team is David McLane, Steven Dickey, and AJ Mendez.
This week’s episode is titled: Final Countdown. I doubt we will see Bryan Danielson, however.
BK Rhythm vs G.I. Jane
Jane slams Rhythm easily, and is able to keep control with a hip toss. Rhythm is able to get out the back of another slam and able to drop Jane and get a tow count before kicking and striking in the corner. Rhythm gets a Russian Leg Sweep into a two count. Rhythm steals Jane’s dog tags and puts them on before putting the boots to Jane.
Jane is able to get a pump kick when she gets back up and hits the Drill Drop, which is a simple leg drop. Jane gets the pin and the win.
Winner: G.I. Jane
Jane takes her dog tags back and slaps hands with the crowd.
We get a video package of Keta Rush, the Bully Buster. She tells the story of the passing of her mother in 2020.
Next is a video package about Gigi Gianni, who calls herself an Italian Princess and her love is high fashion. We then get a video package of Adriana Gambino, who is in wrestling to take people out and have it be legal. And both of them are together to win the tag team championship.
Adriana Gambino and Gigi Gianni vs The Bully Busters (Keta Rush and Stephy Slays)
Stephy and Adriana are to stop, but Adriana tags out saying “You wish.” Gigi steps up and Stephy gets a quick series of arm drags. Keta tags in and delivers a series of kicks in the corner and then gets a jack knife pin for a two count. Keta is tossed to the ropes, where Adriana has a boot up and Gigi attacks her in the ropes. She gets a one count, and then brings Keta to the corner where Adriana tags in and kicks Keta down in the corner.
Gigi is tagged in and hits a snap mare for a two count. Adriana tags in and hits the split leg drop for a two. They then keep up a quick series of tags to work over Keta. Keta escapes with a jaw breaker and tags in Stephy who cleans house. Adriana is able to stop her, but allows her to tag in Keta. Gigi and Adriana double team Keta into a back stabber, and Gigi slams Keta with a belly to belly slam as Adriana keeps Stephy out of the ring. Gigi is able to get the pin and the win.
Winners: Adriana Gambino and Gigi Gianni
The announcers say that Adriana and Gigi are new to wrestling and it shows. This was a bowling shoe ugly match.
We get a video profile of Tiki Chamorro talking about her time in the military and how she is currently living Van Life.
Tiki Chamorro vs Glitch
They lock up and Glitch drives Tiki back and gives her an elbow. They run to the other corner, and Tiki goes to the top and gets the ugliest head scissors takedown I have ever seen. They then run the ropes, and Tiki gets a two count after an arm drag. Glitch is tossed outside, and she stops a baseball slide from Tiki, and then comes into the ring to get offense on Tiki. Tiki is able to reverse it and gets a series of strikes on Glitch.
Tiki is able to get a jaw breaker and attack in the corner, but Glitch reverses it and gets a two count. Glitch calls for game over, but Tiki fights out and gets a two count. Tiki then gets a se4ries of clotheslines and a drop kick. Tiki gets a drop toe hold into the ropes and a 619 for a two count. She then goes for a splash, but Glitch gets her knees up. Glitch is able to get the Game Over drop into a kick for the pin and the win.
Winner: Glitch
We get a vignette of David McLane telling Sophia Lopez that Tormenta and Wrecking Ball will have to fight Princess Aussie and Leia Makoa because of their actions last week.
Wrecking Ball and Tormenta vs Princess Aussie and Leia Makoa
Sophia Lopez announces she is now representing Wrecking Ball.
Aussie charges the ring and starts pounding on Tormenta. Aussie ends the sequences with a suicide dive on both Wrecking Ball and Tormenta. They roll Tormenta into the ring and both Leia and Aussie give Tormenta a savate kick and Aussie covers for a two count. Wrecking Ball tags in and takes Aussie down with a lariat.
Wrecking Ball stomps on Aussie and then tags in Tormenta. Tormenta hits a back breaker and Wrecking Ball leaps off the top with a double ax handle. Wrecking Ball butterflies Aussie’s arms with a boot in her back. Aussie is able to kick her way free. Both Leia and Wrecking Ball are tagged in, and Tormenta stays in the ring, but Leia is able to get in her offense and a double noggin knocker. Leia hits a back slam on Tormenta and covers for the pin and the win.
Winners: Princess Aussie and Leia Makoa
