Can you explain what exactly AEW is doing with the whole Jade Cargill/Bow Wow situation? Is he trying to romance her or is this gonna lead to a match of some kind with Kiera Horgan in Bow Wow's corner only to turn on him and the entire thing was a set up. The most bizarre thing to happen in recent memory. I don't know if you would agree but the whole thing has a WCW 2000 Master P vibe to it.
I have no idea what the end game is, but I can say that about most of AEW’s booking.
You've been reporting on how many viewers have been tuning out of AEW as the show airs. I find this is unfair reporting. You haven't reported on one demographic that is very important. What is the trend on imaginary viewers? I'm sure that number has gone way up during the segments featuring The Elite.
You make a great point. Since Tony Khan is the only one who gets that number, he needs to share it with us.
So all of The Elite’s sophomoric antics since coming back, (mocking Punk, getting the crowd to say F him), plus their same old dance routine style matches against Death Triangle, have finally put the nail in the coffin. I’ve checked out of AEW, even with MJF as champ. My question is, if you weren’t a Wrestling reporter, would you have stopped watching AEW by now?
If I didn’t have to watch it, I would just record it every week. If I heard something was good I would check it out but there is no way I would subject myself to Tony Khan’s putrid booking week in and week out if I didn’t have to for work. It’s sad to say because wrestling should be fun and it’s not that hard to book, but Khan just doesn’t know how to do it.
Let’s say, instead of CM Punk, Tony Khan was able to sign Brock Lesnar last year. Let’s say Brock was fed up with the Elite’s childish behavior and decided to air it out to Ariel Helwani, because even in this fantasy scenario, Brock would NEVER stay out late at a PPV to attend a viral scrum, some things you just can’t imagine. Now let’s say the elite and their entourage decide to get frosty and barge down the locker room door of Brock Lesnar. And let’s say Brock had Rena back there and she was hurt so Brock might be a little extraterritorial at the time. My question is this… how many funerals would Tony Khan have to pay for?
None, there is no world that Matt and Nick would bow up against Brock. None. As much as I would like to see it happen, those two aren’t THAT stupid.
Do you think MJF is serious about listening to an offer from WWE in 2024?
Absolutely, 100 percent. I think he will go wherever he gets the best deal. His loyalty is to himself, as it should be.
