We begin with comments from Davey Richards about tonight’s match against Alex Kane. He says his goal has been to be the best wrestler in the world. He says he has been wrestling since he was 10. Everything he has done is to become a better wrestler. He does not play wrestler, he is a wrestler.
Alex Kane says that Davey does not have what it takes mentally or physically.
We see Davey offering Myron Reed a spot in Team Ambition.
We see Myron turning on Davey to join the Bomaye Fight Club after Davey’s match against Kane.
Alex says Davey is a pup and he will dog walk him all over New York.
Match Number One: Joel Maximo and Jose Maximo versus Juicy Finau and Lance Anoa’i
The Maximos try to convince Finau and Lance to go to the floor and they oblige. Jose goes back into the ring and Joel with an elbow to Lance. Jose with a suicide dive and Finau catches him. Joel goes to the apron and is caught by Finau as well. Jose and Joel punch Finau and Lance with a flip dive onto all three men on the floor.
They get back into the ring and the match starts.
Lance with a punch and head butt followed by a chop. Lance with an Irish whip and and he misses a splash into the corner. Joel with a kick and near fall by Jose. Jose tags in and hits a back senton for a near fall. Jose tags in and he kicks Lance. Finau tags in and Lance with a head scissors to Jose. Finau misses a splash into the corner when Jose moves. Jose with a splash and Finau with a spinebuster to Joel onto Jose.
Lance comes in and gives Jose a buckle bomb. Finau with a running hip and Lance with a cannonball and then he gets a near fall. Joel with a hip to Finau and he sends Lance into the turnbuckles. Lance with a super kick to Joel in the corner. Lance goes up top and Jose crotches Lance. Jose and Joel set for Spanish Fly but Lance blocks it and Finau with a double Samoan drop. Lance with a frog splash for the three count.
Winners: Juicy Finau and Lance Anoa’i
We go to Mance Warner.
He says he has been drinking and thinking. He is a bit angry. Mads, you are a big ole monster. How are we going to fight? A death match? Light tubes? Fire?
Micro Man shows up behind the bar and he shares a beer with Micro Man after telling Micro Man it takes a lot of balls to try to take his beer from him.
We go to commercial.
We are back with a look at the MLW Tag Team Champions.
We see EJ Nduka and Calvin Tankman at a media event.
EJ asks Calvin if they are good and Calvin says they will do what they have to do.
Middleweight Champion Myron Reed is with Sam Leterna.
She congratulates him on retaining his title.
Reed tells them to keep sending their best because at the end of the day it is Bomaye.
Myron wants to talk to Calvin Tankman. Reed tells Calvin to fight the movement.
Calvin asks Reed if he is supposed to listen to the man who injured him, kept him out of the Opera Cup, and then turned on him.
Reed brings up EJ and what he did to Calvin at Battle Riot. Reed asks Calvin where did EJ get that watch and he tells Calvin to think about that.
We take a look at Taya Valkyrie being attacked by Brittany Blake.
We go to comments from Taya and she says she does not know what has gotten into Brittany, but all you had to do was ask for a title match.
We are told that match takes place next week for the MLW Women’s Championship.
We will also see Richard Holliday challenging the MLW World Champion Alex Hammerstone in a Falls Count Anywhere Match.
We go to Alicia Atout and Richard Holliday.
Alicia calls Hammerstone an idiot. She says that New York is her man’s town and that is where he will win the title. He is bigger and stronger than ever.
Holliday says if you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. He says that is a crock of s***. He makes it wherever he goes. We are in New York. This is falls count anywhere so maybe I will beat your ass on the Brooklyn Bridge, under the Statue of Liberty, or on 52nd Street. I will become the MLW World Champion. The Sole Proprietor will be the one with gold in his hands.
Match Number Two: Matt Cross versus Killer Kross (with Scarlett Bordeaux)
Kross misses a punch when Cross rolls away. Kross backs Cross into the corner and Kross kicks Cross and punches Cross. Kross tosses Cross into the corner and connects with a forearm and chokes Cross in the ropes. Kross with a forearm to the back. Cross tries to get Kross up and Cross with a kick. Kross with a clothesline.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Kross with a rear chin lock. Cross with elbows with Kross with a waist lock. Cross with an elbow and he lands on his feet on a suplex attmept. Cross comes off the turnbuckles and hits a tilt-a-whirl slam for a near fall. Cross with a rebound cutter and Cross goes up top. Kross moves and Cross misses a shooting star press. Kross catches Cross in the corner on a handspring move and Kross with a Doomsday Saito for the three count.
Winner: Killer Kross
We take a look at Shun Skywalker.
Davey Richards is with Sam Leterna and she asks him about what Alex has said about him.
Davey says we make our choices in life. I don’t talk, I do. I will become the MLW National Openweight Champion because the hunt never dies.
We take a look at the Opera Cup and we are told that the Cup has not been found since Davey was attacked. The future of the Opera Cup is in the air without the trophy.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Alex Hammerstone walks into a hallway and he is asked a number of questions.
EJ Nduka shows up and asks Hammerstone what has been going on because his people have been trying to get in touch with him. He says Hammerstone has been ducking him. EJ says he is asking for a spot.
Hammerstone says Cesar is making all of his matches and then Hammerstone walks away as he hears some people screaming.
Calvin Tankman is down and the business card that was placed on Budd Heavy last week is on Tankman.
Hammerstone gets up and turns around to see Cesar Duran and a masked assistant. Hammerstone wants to know what is going on.
Duran says he had nothing to do with this. He says he wants Hammerstone to be focused on Holliday.
Hammerstone says this is not over.
Match Number Three: Davey Richards versus Alex Kane (with Mr. Thomas) for the MLW National Openweight Championship
They start off with a wrist lock and Kane takes the advantage. Kane with a hammer lock. Davey with a fireman’s carry into a side head lock. Kane gets a near fall. They lock up and Davey with a front face lock. Kane with a front face lock and Davey with a reversal. Kane with a waist lock and Davey with a wrist lock. Kane with a waist lock into a side head lock. Davey goes for an O’Connor Roll and Kane holds on to the ropes. Davey with a leg sweep into the ankle lock.
Kane rolls through to escape and Davey goes to the floor. Davey runs into a boot. Kane with an exploder into the turnbuckles.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Kane hangs Davey over the apron and Kane with a boot to the head. Kane with a splash on the apron and the referee checks on Davey. Kane gets a near fall. Kane with foraerms to the back of the head. Kane with a chop and Davey goes down. Kane with a crossface to Davey but it only appears to anger Davey. Kane with more crossfaces. Kane kicks Davey in the back. Davey kicks Kane but Kane with a punch to the ribs and a back elbow in the corner. Kane with forearms. Kane with a hard Irish whip. Kane with a kick to the back and he goes to the turnbuckles with a front face lock. Davey with punches to the midsection and a head butt. Davey with head butts and they hurt Davey as much as they hurt Kane.
Davey with a punch to the midsection and he sets for a superplex. Kane with forearms but Davey with many many head butts. Davey with a superplex and both men are down. Kane with a forearm and Davey fires back. They continue the exchange. Davey with kicks to the chest. Kane with an Irish whip and Davey goes to the apron and he hits a dragon screw in the ropes. Davey goes up top for the double stomp but misses and rolls through. Davey with a rollup and a trailer hitch. Kane gets to the ropes to force a break.
Davey with a punch and he sets for a suplex but Kane counters but Davey with a knee to block it. Kane with forearms and Davey with a round kick to the temple followed by a Saito suplex and clothesline. Kane with a release suplex for a near fall. Davey gets to the ropes. Davey with a sunset flip into an ankle lock but Kane kicks Davey away. Davey with a kick to the chest and then he goes up top and hits a double stomp. Davey gets a near fall. Davey with a brainbuster for a near fall. Davey with a Gotch pile driver for the three count.
Winner: Davey Richards (New champion)
After the match, Myron Reed shows up on the stage with Kane and Thomas. Davey sees Reed and Davey tells Reed to come to the ring but Myron goes to the back with Alex and Thomas.
