Young Rock - Rocky Sucks” S3 E2
President Taft tries to enlist The Rock into helping with the coffee crisis. Taft admits being President is harder than he thought. Dwayne proceeds to tell him a story about not being well liked.
1997 - Rocky Maivia hurts his knee against Mankind. He limps to the back with Downtown Bruno to the jeers of “Rocky Sucks”.
Big Dewey is at home resting his knee. Rocky tells Dewey this is a rough time, being injured and not over is a bad combination. Dany comes over and Rocky shows her his t-shirt designs.
We have a brief time jump and we see
Dwayne call Pat Patterson to let him know his knee is healed. Pat says he’ll tell Vince but it’s clear by his tone he doesn’t seem enthused about getting Rocky Maivia back on the road.
Dwayne and Dany discuss making alternative plans in case wrestling didn’t work out. She suggests using his criminology degree. Dwayne day dreams of being a detective which is funny. He says he doesn’t feel like that’s his calling but “I do know what I want.”
Cut to Dwayne and Dany’s wedding. Lots of wrestlers attend, Vince does not. They show video testimonials of the Wild Samoans being upset there was no roasted pig. Macho Man discusses investments with Dany’s coworkers. Dwayne speaks with Hulk Hogan about not being over and Hogan says he feels for him but that he’ll figure it out and he’ll be a star. Ata speaks with Bruno, worried about Dwayne’s spot. He tells her Dwayne has a thousand lives and that he doesn’t think he's used more than 3 yet.
Dwayne and Dany are about to leave for their honeymoon and the phone rings and it’s Vince. Vince says he heard his knee was healthy and he is ready to bring him back. He asks Dwayne if he’s thought about turning heel. Dwayne tells him that’s exactly what he wants.
The Rock narrates his debut into The Nation of Domination. After the segment Dwayne asks Ron Simmons if he got a good reaction. Simmons says he got no reaction. Dwayne then asks why he thinks he was put in the group. Ron says because Vince wanted a fourth man and you’re the right color and that he doesn’t think Vince has any plans beyond that. Dwayne asks how he can change that. Ron tells him to make the crowd give a damn about you.
Stone Cold is filming a segment beating up Vince that Pat is directing. Dwayne asks Pat to get him some time to talk to Vince. At the meeting Dwayne asks Vince for time on the mic so he can explain his actions to the crowd.
The Rock tells Randal & the President how he was given mic time and it was going to be the most important moment in his career. He tells them all he had to do was tell the truth.
The Johnsons, Lia and Dany are watching RAW. They dramatize Rock's first heel promo. The Rock explains how it was a big unknown after the promo because there was no social media to give immediate feedback.
President Taft asks The Rock to go and negotiate a coffee trade deal explaining the leader of the county is a huge Rock fan. Dwayne declines.
