It is Friday and AEW Rampage was recorded after Dynamite and coming from the Agganis Arena in Boston, MA and co-host Anthony Pires is there in attendance! Our commentary team is Excalibur, Jim Ross, and Tony Schiavone.

Christian Cage and Luchasaurus come to the ring. Cage says that they are ready for Jungle Boy’s challenge. Jungle Boy is out next. Cage mocks him and Boston. Cage then says that both he and Luchasaurus have beaten him. JB then says that it’s odd that they are complaining that he cost them one match, when the two of them have cost him everything.

He challenges Luchasaurus to a steel cage match at Full Gear. Cage accepts the challenge and says that, just like his father, JB is all good looks but can’t fight. When JB goes to attack Cage, Luchasaurus beats him down. Cage tosses in a chair for Luchasaurus choke slams JB onto the chair.

In the back, Renee is with Claudio and Jake Hager shows up and says that while Claudio is a great wrestler, he was a better sports entertainer. Jake tells him to think about it. Renee asks Claudio if he knows what Jake is talking about.

Brian Cage vs Dante Martin in the World Title Eliminator Tournament

Martin is out of the gate hot with a dropkick and attack on Cage in the corner. Martin leaps at Cage with a cross body, and Cage is able to catch him. Cage does curls with Martin, which is always impressive. Cage tosses Martin over his shoulder, but Martin lands on his feet, gets a series of kicks and strikes. Martin dodges Cage’s strikes and dropkicks Cage out of the ring. Martin leaps at Cage on the floor, but Cage catches him. Cage holds him in a stalled vertical suplex, and we go picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, Cage hits a spinning slam and covers for a two count. Cage then starts beating down Martin in the corner, hoists him on his back, but Martin is able to counter with a DDT when Cage tries an F5. Martin batters Cage with fast forearm shots. As they fight to the corner, Martin uses the ropes to springboard around Cage and keeps up his attack.  Impressive looking moves by Martin in this sequence.

Martin hits a diving cross body for a two count. Martin goes to the top again for a nose dive, but Cage catches him and tries for another vertical suplex. Martin escapes and kicks Cage to the floor. Martin runs across the ring, leaps onto the top rope and uses that to spring onto Cage on the floor.

Martin tosses Cage into the ring and goes to the top. He hits a big splash for a two count. Cage is up and the match resets with them fighting in the ropes. Martin goes to the top for a 450 splash, but Cage avoids it and Martin rolls through to the other side of the ring. Cage is able to get the discus lariat, followed by a full nelson slam for a two count. Cage pulls Martin up and hits Weapon X for the pin and the win.

Winner and moving on: Brian Cage

We go to the back with Lexy Nair with Lee Moriarty and Stokely Hathaway. She asks about his match with Jon Moxley, and Lee says that while he lost, it shows he can hang with the world champion, so it’s time for him to back on track and win some gold, and it doesn’t matter who it is.  Hook shows up and stares at Lee and leaves.

Rush vs Bandido in the World Title Eliminator Tournament

I am looking forward to this match, as these two have had a lot of great matches in Ring of Honor over the years.

Rush dives onto Bandido before the bell, and they brawl outside the ring, with Rush getting in all the offense. Rush grabs the cords at ringside for his attack, and the referee tries to tell him to stop. He wipes Bandido before choking him.  He rolls  Bandido into the ring and the ref checks on him.

Rush gets in the ring and the bell rings.

Rush beats down Bandito in the corners. After kicking Bandito, he assumes the Tranquilo pose. When he gets to his feet, they go picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, Bandito hits Rush with a tornado from the top. Rush goes to the outside and Bandido leaps onto him there. Banditio hits a second diving tope from the ring. Bandido rolls Rush into the ring and goes to the top. Bandido hits a frog splash for a two count.  Bandido tries for a suplex, but Rush is able to fight his way out and nails Bandido with kicks. Bandido comes off the ropes into a clothesline from Rush, who covers for a two count. They fight in the corner and Rush knocks Bandido to the center of the ring and then hits a dropkick from the top for a two count.

Rush hits a series of kicks as Bandido struggles to his feet. When he gets to his feet, Bandido is able to grab Rush as he comes off the ropes and gets a military press slam for a two count. They trade German suplexes and Bandido is able to get a crucifix bomb. Bandido gets a pop-up slam, but as Rush gets up, he is able to get a leg lariat and both men are down to recover.

They are up at 7 and Bandido is able to get a series of chops in the corner. They go to the opposite corner.  Rush gets a splash and follows up with a piledriver for a two count. The commentators let us know that Rush didn’t get all of that piledriver.   Jose puts a chair in the ring, and as the ref admonishes Rush, who hadn’t grabbed the chair, Jose is attacking Bandido and trying to pull off his mask. John Silver from the Dark Order comes to the ring. Jose tries to attack him and Silver runs right through him. Rush is distracted by this and Bandido is able to get the most devastating move in ALL of Professional Wrestling, the surprise roll up and the win.

Winner and moving on: Bandido

In the back, Lexi is with Death Triangle and asks what is next for Rey Fenix. Pac interrupts him and says that they need to be smart and take every opportunity by any means necessary. He leaves, and Rey and Pentagon are unhappy with it.

Nyla Rose is out with the TBS title. If you aren’t following her on Twitter, rectify that, since she is doing a TON of great comedy with the title belt.

Nyla Rose vs Kayla Sparks

Rose mocks Jade Cargill’s moves as she beats Sparks quickly, finishing with Jaded.

Winner: Nyla Rose

Jade Cargill and the Baddies come to the ring. Nyla takes out the Baddies quickly, but Jade hits the pump kick on Nyla. Nyla takes off with the belt, and security comes out to keep Jade from chasing her.

In the interview segment, Mark Henry asks if Lee Johnson’s new attitude will help him win. QT Marshall talks for Lee, stating that Lee has come home. And now he will bring him the first of many titles to the Factory.  Lee insults Danhausen.  Danhausen says he will rip Lee’s Teeth out.  Orange stops him and says there’s been enough talk, prompting Mark to be upset and complain that Orange is taking his line.

Orange Cassidy (All Atlantic Champion) vs. Lee Johnson

The Factory comes out with Lee Johnson and the Best Friends come out with Orange Cassidy

They lock up and neither is able to get a waistlock as they jockey for position. Cassidy 8is able to flip Lee. They run the ropes and Cassidy gets a shoulder tackle for a two count. They run the ropes again and this time Lee gets the shoulder tackle, and they trade arm drags, with Lee down on the mat after Cassidy stops his part of the armdrags.

Cassidy gets his hands in his pockets and the soft kicks to annoy Lee. Cole Carter gets on the apron, and Cassidy drops kicks him to the floor. This allows Lee to get up and nail a dropkick. Lee gets a clothesline in the corner. He whips Cassidy to the opposite corner when Cassidy goes to the apron and slams Lee’s head into the turnbuckle. Cassidy runs him to the far side for another turnbuckle hit, and then back for a final one.

QT gets on the apron, and the Best Friends pull him down and confront QR and Colt. As the ref watches that, Nick Comorado tosses Cassidy over the barricade into the crowd, and we go picture in picture.

When they return to full screen, both men are down and the ref is counting. Outside the ring, Nick Comorado sends Chuck Taylor into the ringpost. Both men inside the ring are up to 5, and Lee tosses Cassidy to the ropes. Lee charges in after him, but Cassidy back drops him to the floor on top of Colt. Cassidy then hits a backflip onto the rest of The Factor on the outside.

Lee is tossed into the ring. And Cassidy hits a diving crossbody from the top. Lee is up and hits a blue thunder bomb on Cassidy for a two count. Lee argues with the ref, allowing Comorado to grab Cassidy from the apron for a slam, but Trent Beretta spears Comorado to save Cassidy. The Factory comes over to attack Trent, and Chuck Taylor leaps onto the Factory from inside the ring.

In the ring, Cassidy hits a spinning DDT on Lee. Cassidy misses the orange punch, and Lee gets a roll up with his feet on the ropes for a two count. Lee gets a series of strikes as Cassidy misses another orange punch, but when Lee tries for a power bomb, Cassidy lands on his feet and hits the Beach Break for the pin and the win.

Winner and still All Atlantic Champion: Orange Cassidy.

Cole tries to attack Cassidy, but Cassidy sees it and hits an Orange Punch, and the Best Friends give the people what they want with Cole in the middle of the hug. They then give him the Best Friend group slam.
