By Mike Johnson on 2022-11-10 11:09:00

Shout Factory announced a new limited edition Ultra High Definition Blu-Ray release for the classic Roddy Piper film "They Live", which starred Piper as John Nada, a homeless construction worker who stumbles upon the truth that aliens have taken over and enslaved mankind.   The film, directed by John Carpenter and co-starring Keith David and Meg Foster, opened at the top of the box office when it was released in November 1988, garnering $13,008,928 domestically over its four week run. A fight scene between Piper and Keith David is often celebrated as one of the best movie fight sequences of all time.

Shout! Factory's announcement notes:

You see them on the street. You watch them on TV. You might even vote for one this fall. You think they're people just like you. You're wrong. Dead wrong.

John Carpenter's dystopian classic, They Live, is now available in SteelBook form at Shout! Factory.

The UHD/Blu-ray SteelBook is also available in a Limited Edition set which includes an enamel pin set (art by Matthew Skiff) and a 28.5" x 16.5” rolled poster (art by Devon Whitehead).

The enamel pin set includes 5 hard enamel pins, each measuring 1.5” to 2” high, against a backer card, which measures approximately 6” x 5”, housed in a custom keepsake box, which measures approximately 7” x 6."

Featuring officially licensed pins of Nada (Roddy Piper) and Frank (Keith David), this set is limited to just 1,000 units!

You can also pick up They Live on standard 4K UHD/Blu-ray as a standalone.
