With all the talk of how AEW does in the ratings vs. WWE and the tribalism crap, it made me wonder, what was the best rating for Impact Wrestling when they were at a point of trying to be competitive with WWE?
The highest rated episode of Impact ever was the 1/4/10 episode of Impact, the first Monday special, which featured the first appearances of Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair for the promotion as well as the return of Jeff Hardy, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman. It garnered a 1.5 rating.
I think one of the best things about Dexter Lumis in WWE is his silence and the way he plays up everything without speaking about it. Can you think of any other characters like that in wrestling who was mute?
Dean Malenko in ECW played up that he was a silent assassin. Of course, there would be The Missing Link and for a period of time Sign Guy Dudley was a mute character as well. Dexter Lumis does an excellent job with his portrayal.

She's still with WWE and if we are lucky, she'll return in time with a new direction and hopefully, her old Piper Niven ring name!
Do you think AXS TV will take Impact live?
No time soon. I don't believe AXS does any live programming at that level.
When Tony Khan bought ROH, why weren't the Sinclair TV timeslots part of the deal?
I have never heard they were on the table as part of the deal.
Why doesn't WWE put the old ECW DVD releases on the Network/Peacock?
WWE doesn't have the rights to them. Those VHS/DVD releases were not part of the assets WWE purchased from the bankruptcy court at the time. Pioneer Home Video retained the rights to those releases, but I don't have any idea if that entity even exists anymore.
