Wrestling Stars Return to Newcastle for Double Header
Former WWE Superstar Sha Samuels will be in action
GLASGOW, Scot., 13 October, 2022 - Scottish wrestling promotion Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) returns to Newcastle, England on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 October at Northumbria University Union for a special double header of professional wrestling action featuring some of the country's top stars.
The event marks ICW's return to Newcastle for the first time in over four years and features sixteen matches across the weekend, including two huge main events: Rory Coyle vs. ICW icon Jack Jester; and BT Gunn vs. Clint Margera.
The event also follows the recent return of former WWE Superstar Sha Samuels to the company after a successful run on the global juggernaut's NXT UK brand.
"Minutes after getting released from WWE, ICW called to give me every date they have this year." said Samuels.
"It was the morale boost I needed.
"I’ll always show loyalty to them, like they have for me. I can’t wait to work with the young talented roster. Buzzing to be back."
The weekend will also feature appearances from Cage Warriors MMA fighter Chris Bungard, Women's World Champion Molly Spartan, Newcastle's own Gia Adams and many more.
The only way to see the event live is at the venue itself. Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster. Fans can also watch ICW on-demand on WWE Network in the UK, and Peacock in the USA.
