WWE MAIN EVENT REPORT: THE "A" CHAMP ON THE "A" SHOW

Your announcers are Kevin Patrick and Byron Saxton.

Cedric Alexander says that he had to take a few weeks off to assess his journey.  He says he is one of the best to do it and that he is the Prime Alexander.

Carmelo Hayes says the way he sees it, it does not matter who you are.  You step up or get stepped on.  What have you done lately?  I am a two time North American Champion.  The numbers do not lie and I do not miss.

Match Number One:  Cedric Alexander versus Carmelo Hayes

They have some words for each other before they lock up.  Hayes with a wrist lock and Alexander with a reversal and arm wringer to take Hayes to the mat.  Alexander holds on to the wrist lock but Hayes escapes.  Hayes with a single leg take down and Alexander with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Hayes with a head scissors and Alexander escapes.  Cedric with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Hayes pulls the hair but Alexander with an Irish whip.   Hayes with a slap and Alexander with a chop. 

Hayes pulls Alexander to the mat by the hair but Alexander with a drop kick.  Alexander misses a splash into the corner and he sends Hayes to the apron.  Alexander sends Hayes into the ring post on the apron a few times.  Alexander slingshots Hayes back into the ring.  Alexander with a back body drop.  Alexander sets for the Neuralizer but Hayes moves.  Hayes with a springboard cross body.  Hayes shoots and we go to commercial.

We are back and Hayes with an Irish whip and he blocks a kick and sends Alexander into the ropes and hits an enzuigiri and then he hits a springboard leg drop for a near fall.  Hayes with a double wrist lock.  Alexander gets back to his feet but Hayes takes Alexander back to the mat.  Alexander punches Hayes and gets out of the hold with an ar drag.  Alexander with a Neuralizer and both men are down.  Alexander with forearms and punches.  Alexander with a rollup and a drop kick that sends Hayes to the apron.  Alexander with a flying clothesline on the apron.  Alexander with a Michinoku Driver for a near fall.  Hayes with an inside cradle for a near fall. Hayes with a jumping knee but Alexander with an uppercut.  Hayes with La Mistica and a TKO for a near fall.  Hayes goes to the turnbuckles and Alexander stops him. Hayes with a punch and Alexander catches Hayes off the ropes.  Hayes with a victory roll for a near fall.  Alexander gets a near fall with a rollup.  Hayes with a Codebreaker and Nothing But Net for the three count.

Winner:  Carmelo Hayes

We take a look at DX through the years.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look back at Edge versus Finn Balor from Extreme Rules and THE Judgment Day confronting AJ Styles on Raw and the return of Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows.

We go to commercial.

We take a look at what happened with Bobby Lashley when he was confronted by Brock Lesnar and his United States Title Match against Seth Rollins.

R Truth is in the back talking to Tamina and Tamina tells Truth to take things serious and be more like Shelton.

Tamina walks past Shelton with Dana Brooke.  Dana tells Shelton to loosen up and be more like Truth.

Truth walks up to Shelton and he says Tamina says Shelton needs to loosen up.  Shelton says that Dana told him that Truth needs to get serious.

Truth says they need to be on the same page if they want to be a tag team.  He tells Shelton to loosen up. 

Shelton says if they want to be a team and win titles, Truth needs to be serious in the ring.

We go to commercial.

Match Number Two:  R Truth (with Shelton Benjamin) versus Von Wagner

Truth wants to know what’s up from the crowd and he does a split.  He accidentally slaps Wagner and he realizes he made a mistake.  Truth with punches but Wagner blocks an Irish whip and connects with a clothesline.  Wagner chokes Truth in the ropes.  Wagner with a punch and shoulders in the corner.  Wagner with a back elbow in the corner and a hard Irish whip.  Wagner kicks Truth and Irish whips Truth.  Truth with an uppercut and boots to Wagner.  Wagner with a side slam and then Von has some words for Shelton.  Shelton says he doesn’t care what Wagner does.  Wagner with a shoulder and elbows in the corner.

Wagner misses a shoulder in the corner and hits the ring post.  Truth with punches and he does a split to avoid a clothesline.  Truth with a jumping leg lariat.  Wagner with a shoulder tackle.  Wagner pulls off the turnbuckle pad and then he tries to send Truth into it but the referee stops him.  Wagner and the referee have a discussion, and Shelton gives a chair to Truth.  Truth hits the mat with the chair and he tosses it to Wagner for a Full Guerrero.

The referee sees Truth on the mat and Wagner holding the chair so he calls for the bell.

Winner:  R Truth (by disqualification)

We go to commercial.

We are back with a look at Logan Paul and the Bloodline from Smackdown.  We take a look at Sami Zayn and Matt Riddle from Raw.
