Call it a hunch on my part, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Brock Lesnar return on tonight's season premiere of Monday Night Raw.
Lesnar hasn't been seen since Summerslam, but tonight is the "season premiere" of Raw.
The "season premiere" takes place in Brooklyn, NY and WWE is always trying to pull out surprises to make New York City events unique and special.
Beyond that, however, now that the company is past Extreme Rules, that means their primary focus going forward will be the 11/5 Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Arabia shows have always been about spectacle and all seven Saudi PPV events to date have featured Lesnar in a major way, facing everyone from Cain Velasquez to Roman Reigns.
With a little over three weeks to go until WWE heads to Riyadh, what better time to have Lesnar appear and interject him into the company storylines?
After all, The Bloodline will be there and he has unfinished business with Reigns, Paul Heyman, etc. Daniel Cormier just appeared on Extreme Rules and while we haven't heard any talk of Lesnar vs. Cormier yet, certainly that could always be in play. A rematch with Bobby Lashley works. WWE could even go the freakshow route and book Lesnar against Omos or Braun Strowman.
Case in point, tonight is the most likely, strongest date for a Brock Lesnar return to WWE. I can see it. It makes perfect sense, especially for a WWE that's trying to maximize their goodwill, their crowd pops and who have been masterfully stacking the lineups for their Peacock PPV events.
Stay tuned as to whether my hunch is right, but I predict Lesnar is covertly already in the NYC area and we'll be seeing an F5 tonight.
