THE ROCK'S ANIMATED DC FILM STARTS STREAMING TOMORROW, LESS THAN A MONTH UNTIL BLACK ADAM, THE FLASH & MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2022-09-25 12:00:00

DC's League of Superpets, the new animated film based on the DC Comics characters, will hit HBO Max next week, starting 9/26.  Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson voices Krypto, Superman's dog.  His Seven Bucks Production produced the film.  The film will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on 10/4.  The Blu-Ray will feature deleted scenes, an Easter Egg finder for the film, a feature on the "Super Voices" behind the film, a feature on the animation, a feature on the "World of Super-Pets" and a tutorials on how to draw Krypto, Superman's dog, who is voiced by The Rock.

Of course, The Rock, in full live action form, will be see portraying Black Adam on 10/21 theatrically in that character's first-ever DC Comics film.  Personally, as someone who always loved the Shazam! family, I'm looking forward to seeing the first-ever incarnation of Adam and especially Doctor Fate since they are tossing the Justice Society into the mix.

Meanwhile, if you missed my interview with The Flash writer Jeremy Adams, you can check it out right here as we discuss the forthcoming introducing of Wrestling Across the Multiverse in the DC mythos, writing Wally West, Jeremy's love of professional wrestling, inspirations for the new characters, their potential future in DC and tons more at this link -
