It is Friday and it’s time for AEW Rampage, which was recorded right after Dynamite from Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York, New York, the city so nice, they named it twice. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Chris Jericho, and Jim Ross.
House of Black vs Darby Allin and Sting in a no DQ match
The House of Black starts their creepy entrance, but Sting and Darby are right behind them and attack. Julia Hart leaps onto Sting’s back and tries to bring him down and he ignores it as he goes after Buddy Murphy, and she drops off as they start to brawl at ringside.
Brody King is able to carry Darby to the ring and they brawl inside the ring. When he and Darby go outside the ring and opponents switch out. Buddy sets up a table at ringside and goes in to help Brody with Sting. Sting is able to hold his own against the both of them and is able to dodge out of the way when Brody attacks, causing Brody to take out Buddy twice. Brody is able to attack Sting and puts him on the top. Darby shows at this time and he hits Brody with an avalanche Code Red for a two count. Darby then leaps at Buddy, and Buddy is able to cut him off with a leaping knee strike.
Sting and Buddy fight on the aprons where the tangled are set up. Sting climbs to the top to leap onto Buddy, but Brody is able to run up and shove Sting off and into the table. Buddy and Brody shove Sting into the ring and Julia Hart gets into the ring with handcuffs. She handcuffs his hands behind his back as we go picture in picture.
WHAT A JEZEBEL!
When we return to full screen, The House of Black has dragged Darby to the stage. They hit him with kicks and strikes. They set up for Dante's Inferno,but Darby escapes and starts climbing th lighting rig. Darby knocks Buddy down when Buddy is trying to climb up. Darby gets to the top and hits a coffin drop on Buddy.
Brody picks up Darby and carries him to the other side of the stage for a gorilla press, but Darby escapes, He tries for a coffin drop using the stage entrance, but Brody grabs him in the read naked choke he uses so often. He takes him to the end e of the stage, and Darby starts fighting back and they both go off the stage into tables.
Buddy is first to recover and grabs Sting’s bat. He goes to the ring and Sting is still handcuffed. Buddy sits in the ring cross legged and then gets up and starts slapping Sting. Sting is laughing as it happens. Buddy sits Sting down in a steel chair and Sting is still laughing. Buddy grabs the bat and the lights go out.
IT’S THE GREAT MUTA!!
Muta has announced he is in the last year of his career and he slowly comes to the ring. Muta enters the ring and Buddy drops the bat and gets out of Muta’s way. Muta walks to Sting and then slowly he turns, step by step, inch by inch… Muta hits a dragon screw on Buddy. He then sprays the Green Mist on Buddy. Buddy stumbles back and knocks Julia Jart off the apron. Sting stands up, having broken free of the handcuffs and covers Buddy for the three count.
Winners: Darby Allin and Sting
Sting and Muta shake hands and hug in the ring.
Matt Menard and Angela Parker vs Hook and Action Bronson
Bronson raps his way to the ring, and isn’t as funny as Max Caster.
Hook starts with Parker, who gets a kick in before Hook takes over and hits a deadlift supex. Menard tags in and calls for Action to tag in, and he does. They start shoving, and Action takes Menard down with a shoulder tackle. Action slams Menard’s head into the turnbuckle and Hook tags in.
Hook puts Manard in the bow and arrow stretch and Parker breaks it up with a stomp. They drag Hook to their corner and keep him there with quick tags and attacks. After Hook gets worn down, Hook is finally able to get a suplex and gets the tag to Action. Action cleans house with shoulder tackles and clotheslines. He gets a stampede and a two count before it’s broken up. Action gets a pounce and tags in Hook.
Hook gets Redrum on Parker, Action comes into the ring and gets a Redrum on Menard. Both Parker and Menard tap out.
Winners: Hook and Action Bronson
Jade Cargill (TBS Champion) vs Diamante
They fight into the corner after trading kicks with Jade getting chops in and Diamante getting chops and a shotgun dropkick. She starts attacking Jade in the corner, but Jade is able to carry her out. Jade goes to pin her, but Diamante rolls through. They start fighting again and Jade gets a pump kick, dropping Diamante. Jade picks Diamonte up and whips her to the ropes. Diamante comes off and gets Jade with a chop block, a kick to the back and a baseball slide into Jade, knocking her to the floor.
Diamante goes to the top and leaps with Jade catching herJade puts her on her shoulders and does a F5 onto the apron. Diamante tries to crawl to the other side, but Jade is able to grab her and hits Jaded for the win.
Winner and still TBS Champion: Jade Cargill!
Hip hop star Trina comes into the ring and helps Diamante up, but then pie faces her. Jade and Trina shake hands.
So. That happened and it had no emotional impact whatsoever.
Tony Nese and Josh Woods vs Wardlow and Samoa Joe
Mark Sterling talks about how Wardlow has been trying to power bomb him, but his team will protect him. So, you know Mark is getting a power bomb tonight.
Joe and Wardlpow attack immediately. Wardlow and Woods fight it out in the ring. Woods gets a single takedown and Wardlow up up and just starts tossing Woods around. They spill to the outside. Joe and Nese come into the ring and Joe starts working Tony Nese in the corner. Nese goes up for a backflip off the top and Joe just walks out of the way with a smirk on his face.
THAT was cool. Joe’s utter dismissal and cynicism about Nese was great.
Joe chops Nese, and Nese hits Joe in the throat, and then snaps Joe over the top rope. Nese runs at him, and Joe grabs and slams Nese. Joe hits the muscle buster on Nese and covers for the three count.
Winners: Samoa Joe and Wardlow
Woods and Nese attack Joe after the bell and Wardlow makes it into the ring, breaks it up. Mark Sterling hits Wardlow in the back with the title belt. Wardlow doesn’t react. Joe grabs Mark and tosses him into a Wardlow Power Bomb Sympohny with three movements.
We get a short promo from Jungle Boy about a new direction for his career.
Jungle Boy vs Rey Fenix
Here’s your AEW spotfest, and we haven't really had one on Grand Slam.
They fight to the corner and JB is on the top as they fight. JB gets a tiaris and follows it up with a drop kick to Fenix’s back. Fenix gets an arm drag after a rope flip. They move to elbow strikes and run the ropes. Fenix hits a spin kick as we go to picture in picture.
When they return to full screen, Rey has taken over the match and is going after JB with chops and kicks. JB fires chops back and they run the ropes. JB gets a pair of forearms and after Fenix escapes out the back of a brain buster, JB hits a clothesline that turns him inside out. JB follows up with sheer drop brainbuster and a two count.
Fenix rolls to the outside and JB leaps onto him. JB rolls him into the ring and hits a thrust kick and a poisonrana. Fenxi hits a cutter and both men are down. When they are up they jockey for position and JB reverses a powerbomb into a rana and a two count. JB hits a thrust kick after that. Fexni dodges a running knee and when he goes for the double rope slingshot, JB drop kicks him before he can complete the move.
JB starts to get up and Fenix hits an arm twist from the apron. They battle on the apron, which is the hardest part of the ring, or so I have heard. Fenix goes for a roll into a leap and JB kicks him as he comes off the apron. They go to picture in picture again.
When they return to full screen, they had a nice bit on the small screen where they shook hands and they started trading blows. Fenix is able to get a Gory cutter for a two count. Fenix gets a corkscrew kick and then goes to the entry ramp. He hits an escalera from a leap on the top rope for a two count.
They go to the top and JB is able to escape out the back and gets a power bomb on Fenix for a two count. They reset and Fenix blocks a lariat with a thrust kick. Fenix hits two of the three amigos and JB escapes and lifts Fenix to his shoulder for a cradle shock and a two count. JB goes to the top. Fenix knocks his leg out from under him and both men are down. Fenix goes to the top and hits a frog speech, and his momentum carries him over JB. He comes back to cover for a two count.
They go back to the corner. Fenix sets up for a muscle buster, and JB is able to counter it and holds Fenix in a cradle for the three count.
Winner: Jungle Boy
Afterward they show respect and shake hands.
A hard fought match with a lot of brawling on top of the high flying stuff.
Christian Cage’s music plays. He comes out of the tunnel with his arm in a sling. Luchasaurus comes into the ring behind JB and beats him down. Luchasaurus puts a foot on JB’s head and Cage says he beat JB and made it look easy. He says JB will never beat him, and it’s his final warning. He tells JB not to come back here next week. He tells Luchasaurus to end him.
Luchasuraus slams JB and they stand over him in triumph.
Even Chris Jericho says they should be ashamed.
We get a look at the Jericho celebration after winning the Ring of Honor championship and there will be a celebration next week on Dynamite.
Eddie Kingston vs Sammy Guevara
Eddie’s eyes never leave Sammy during his elaborate entrance. Sammy grabs a mic and apologizes to Eddie. He then says he’s sorry he didn’t say it sooner, that Eddie is a fat piece of s#!t.
And the brawl begins. They quickly start brawling onto the floor. They fight around the ring with Eddie having the upper hand. The referee is keeping Tay Melo from getting involved as Eddie keeps up the attack. The fight moves to the apron where Sammy gets a back body drop on Eddie. The crowd chants F@#k You Sammy as we go picture in picture.
Whenever someone cheats, either Tony of Excalibur points out to Jericho that it’s not very honorable.
When we return to full screen. The match is in the ring and has become official. They have been slapping, biting and punching each other. They fight to the top and Sammy is able to knock Eddie down. Sammy hits a senton and gets a two count. Sammy quickly moves to nailing Eddie with knees and then goes to the top. Sammy misses a shooting star press, and Eddie is able to attack Sammy with blows.
When Eddie goes to the ropes, Tay grabs his foot. She screams at him and he uses a hand gesture to let her know that she’s number 1. Sammy takes advantage of this and nails Eddie with a rising knee strike. Sammy is able to hit hsi double jump cutter for a two count. Sammy tries for the GTH and Eddie stops him with elbows and a clothesline to the face.
Eddie hits a series of machine gun chops in the corner. Sammy is able to kick Eddie and tries for another double hope cutter, but misses and Eddie hits a backdrop driver. Eddie misses a spinning back fist and Sammy hits a rising knee strike. Eddie reacts by shaking his head. Sammy hits a few more. He then tries for a GTH, Eddie is able to escape and hits a half and half suplex. Eddie then lifts him up for a spinning back fist. Eddie hits a second. Eddie picks Sammy up for a third.
Eddie slaps Sammy and then locks in the stretch plum. Sammy has to tap out.
Winner: Eddie Kingston
Eddie won’t give up the hold. Jerry Lynn comes from the back to talk him into letting go. Security comes from the back, and since Eddie didn’t release the hold, the decision is reversed.
Winner: Sammy Guevara
Eddie attacks security and hits a spinning back fist on a security guard. Jerry keeps trying to calm Eddie down as Sammy is helped up the ramp by Tay.
Paul Wight joins commentary.
The Golden Ticket Battle Royale the winner gets an AEW Championship match.
Adap Page comes out and is jumped by Rush, Butcher and Blade. Dark Order then runs to the ring to help Page and we go picture in picture.
It looks like they are not giving everyone individual entrances so I’ll just mention them when they get tossed out.
When we return to full screen, the bell rings and everyone enters the ring.
Aria Davari is the first out.
Danhausen curses Cole Carter, who is then eliminated.
Danhasusen then curses QT Marshall who is out

The last two are Rush and Adam Page. They face off with strikes and kicks. Page gets a Discus elbow and Rush is able to dump Page over the top, but he just barely holds on and gets back in the ring.
They trade chops on the Aron, and both men have come over the top rope. Rush attempts a suplex, and Page reverses it, hits the dead eye and Rush drops to the floor.

Mark Henry interviews Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs. Hobbs says that he beat Starks in four minutes. Starks says it was a one time thing and it won’t happen again. It was Hobbs’ career highlight and he will win tonight.
Powerhouse Hobbs vs Ricky Starks in a lights out match
AEW is not responsible for what happens in this unsanctioned match and it can only end by pinfall or submission.
Starks has a new, elaborate video to open.
They start by throwing hands. They then run the ropes with Straqrks taking Hobbs down and driving him to the floor. Hobbs tosses Ricky into the ringpost, but Ricky slides around it and takes down Hobbs with a clothesline.
Hobbs is driven into the steel steps. Hobbs is tossed into the ring, and Starks follows. Strarks tries to pick up Hobbs, but Hobbs is able to reverse it and get a neckbreaker. Hobbs pulls out a table from under the ring. Rather than set it up, Hobbs just slams it on Starks’s back. Hobbs goes back under the ring and pulls out chairs as we go picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Hobbs is using a chair on Starks, and he has set up chairs in two of the corners. Hobbs then picks up Starks and drives him into one of the wedged chairs. He tries for the second, but Starks is able to escape and shove Hobbs into the chair. He then hits a DDT on Hobbs and covers for a two count.
They both struggle to get to their feet, but Strarks is up first with a chair. Hobbs hits a low blow, and Jericho says that no one should use a low blow in a wrestling match because there is no honor in it. Hobbs sets up a pair of chairs. Hobbs picks Starks up, but he escapes out the back and gets a low blow of his own on Hobbs.
Downtown near the jewelry store, and JR says.
Starks puts the chairs back to back. He sets up for the rochambeau, but Hobbs is able to get a backdrop and Starks comes down on the tops of the chairs. That is an ungly looking bump. Hobbs picks up Starks and hits a running power slam on the chairs for a two count. Starks crawls onto the ramp, and Hobbs follows. Starks fights with blows from the lying position, and Hobbs just follows him up the ramp.
They lay in forearms shots, and when Starks goes for a spear, Hobbs gets out of the way and Starks hits the set. Hobbs pulls one of the light fixtures from the entryway. He follows Starks and Starks crawls back to the ring. Hobbs misses with a swing and Starks ible to hit a spear into Hobbs putting him through the table in the corner.
Starks fires up and grabs the light fixture and nails Hobbs in the head with it. He hits the rochambeau and covers for the three count and the win.
Winner: Ricky Starks
