Black Adam is one of the more powerful and popular DC Comics anti-hero characters and will feature The Rock playing a darker character. There were allusions made to Black Adam, although not by name, in DC's feature film adaptation of Shazam! several years back.
DC Comics' original superhero team The Justice Society of America will also be featured in the film, including Hawkman, The Atom Smasher, Dr. Fate and Cyclone.
Black Adam will be released theatrically on 10/21.
