KERRY VON ERICH CAST FOR VON ERICH FILM 'THE IRON CLAW'

Deadline.com is reporting that Jeremy Allen White of FX's The Bear (who is a hell of an actor) has been cast to play former NWA World Champion Kerry Von Erich in The Iron Claw, a new film on the Von Erich family that will begin filming this October in Louisiana.

Actor Zac Efron will be starring as Kevin Von Erich in the film.  Kevin is the lead character in the film.

Harris Dickinson, recently seen in Where the Crawdads Sing, is set to play David Von Erich in the film.

The film will be shooting from mid-October through December.

A24 is financing and produce the pic with Sean Durkin writing and directing.   Durkin most recently directed films Martha Mary May Marlese and The Nest.

The film will be "Based on the true story of the Von Erichs, the film follows the rise and fall of the Von Erich family, a dynasty of wrestlers who made a huge impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day."

Kevin Von Erich and his family have zero involvement in the film in any way, shape or form.
