AEW CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINALS & MORE: COMPLETE AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

It's Wednesday Night, and your guess is as good as mine as to what that means.  We are LIVE in Albany NY with the semi finals of the AEW Championship Tournament. Taz, William Regal, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone have the call to begin tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite!

AEW Championship Tournament Semi Final: Jon Moxley vs. Sammy Guevara

Sammy is flying solo tonight.  Let's see how long that lasts.  Sammy bails.  He returns and they lockup.  Headlock takeover by Moxley.  Mox goes straight for a test of strength pin attempt.  Sammy with chops in the corner. He rains down kicks after 2 chops.  Lariat by Moxley.  Sammyh escapes the PAradigm Shift.  They exchange chops.  Uppercut by Moxley but he gets backdropped to the floor and Sammy nails 2 tope con hillos.  Guevara grinds Moxley's head into the steps.  We go to commercial.

As we return to live action, it's Guevara setting up a piledriver on the apron. Moxley blocks it and slams Sammy's face on said apron.  Sammy beats the count.  Clotheslines by Moxley, he rakes the back to Guevara and bites him.  Underhook suplex by Moxley for 2.  Moxley with a double wristlock. Sammy counters into a Boston Crab.  Moxley powers out but its Sammy with an enziguiri and a cutter for 2.  GTH attempt by Sammy, Moxley counters into a choke and elbow smashes. Spanish Fly by Guevara for 2.  Moxley with an avalanche German, both men are down.

Here comes Tay Melo and Anna JAS. Low blow by Tay while Anna has the referee distracted.  Sammy gets a 2 count. Sammy misses a senton. Rollup for 2 by Moxley. Sammy nails forearms but Moxley fires back. K nee strike by Sammy but Moxley avoids another. He nails Sammy with the Death Rider for the pin.

WINNER: JON MOXLEY (advances to the finals)

MJF comes out to a ROUSING ovation.  He ain't having none of it. He wants Albany to keep their mouths shut.  He is VERY upset over the fact that Jon Moxley disrespected him last week.  He calls Moxley a joke. He rips Moxley's childhood.  He is verbally murdering Albany.  Just watch this. All of it. IT's MJF, you know it's good.  He makes fun of Moxley's alcoholism.  He warns Jericho and Danielson that no matter who wins next week, their lives will be no less than a living hell.  He addresses his Stable on Retainer, Stokley Hathaway, W Morrisey, Austin Gunn, Ethan Page, Colton Gunn and Lee Moriarty. They come out.  MJF leaves.  Basically they introduce themselves as MJF's muscle.  The odd thing is that they are only together for MJF.  They'll go their separate ways apart from MJF.  Stokley is great but it's odd that he pointed out that they're not together.  He gives an intro to each man.  Page wants the All Atlantic Championship.  

The group, when together, will be known as The Firm.

We get some words form Jungle Boy Jack Perry.

Jungle Boy Jack Perry vs. Jay Lethal w/Sonjay Dutt & Satnum Singh

Lockup, they wrestle to the corner, they slap each other. Now there's a forearm exchange.  Armdrag off the top by Perry.  Leg sweep by Lethal. Inside cradle for 1 by Perry. Lethal to the outside and Singh blocks Perry from a dive.  Lethal with clubbing forearms to the back. Backbreaker across the top turn buckle as we go to commercial.

We're back and Lethal whips Perry into the corner.  He misses a charge.  They exchange forearms.  Chop by Perry. We're back to forearms.  Elboe strike by Jungle Boy. Perry tries a suplex but his back gives out. Perry with a clothesline for 2.  Russian Leg Sweep by Lethal.  He scores a 2 but misses a Lethal Injection. Lethal combination by Lethal. Lethal with a big elbow off the top for 2.  Perry blocks a pump kick and applies the snare trap.  Dutt to the apron, Perry knocks him off. Perry tries the snare trap. He gets it and Lethal taps out.

WINNER JUNGLE BOY JACK PERRY

We see a training session with Hook and Action Bronson.

Alex Marvez is backstage with Luigi Primo, a pizza expert. Ethan Page interrupts and Danhausen interrupts him. They have a match Friday.

Matt Hardy wants a match with Darby Allin this Friday on Rampage

Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Matt DiMartino

Confession: I already wrote the below statement. Hobbs with a spinebuster for the pin.

WINNER POWERHOUSE HOBBS

Hobbs wants the mic. The crowd wants Ricky Starks. Hobbs reminds us that he beat Starks at All Out in less than 5 minutes. Starks comes out through the crowd and they slug it out. Starks spike him with the microphone. Hobbs bails. They stare each other down.

We hear from Death Triangle. We have an AEW World Tag Team Title match tonight.

AEW World Tag Team Championship: Keith Lee & Swerve Strickland vs. The Lucha Brothers w/Alex Abrahantes

Swerve and Penta start off. Swerve with an armdrag takedown. Kick by Penta. Fenix tags in and nails a dropkick.  Swerve escapes but gets kicked in the head. Swerve with a rana off the 2nd rope and tags in Lee.  Lee overpowers Fenix. Fenix chops away. Lee with a huge clothesline as we go to commercial.

We're back and Swerve has Fenix in areverse full nelson.  Fenix armdrags out and tags Penta, who nails a sling blade and a rana. Penta goes for the pin but Lee lawndarts Fenix onto the attempt to break it up.  Swerve with a right hand and he tags in Lee.  Lee cleans house as he nails back breakers. They go for the Swerve Stomp. Fenix breaks it up. Spanish fly by Penta.  Huge Destroyer by Penta on Lee for 2.  Sweve sends Fenix to the floor and Lee nails a DVD for the pin.

WINNERS AND STILL CHAMPIONS KEITH LEE AND SWERVE STRICKLAND

The Acclaimed come out and warn the champions ahead of their title match next week.

Alex is with the Lucha Bros. Pac takes command of it and tells AEW that they have forgotten who Death Triangle is.  He gets attacked by Orange Cassidy and laid out.

Athena & Toni Storm vs. Serena Deeb & Dr. Britt Baker DMD w/Rebel

Deeb and Storm kick us off as they trade hammerlocks.  Mat wrestling and takedown exchanges. Lockup, chop by Deeb, Storm responds in kind.  Athena tags in and she nails a slingshot splash for 2.  Athena with an elbow strike. Baker distracts Athena as we go to commercial.

Athena is down but is able to make the tag. Storm with a dropkick to storm. DDT on the floor by Storm. Baker with a slingblade.  Athena tags in and she exchanges elbows with Deeb. Cross armbreaker by Deeb, Athena powers out and nails a double knee drop. Storm tags in and immediately gets locked in a half crab. Athena tries to break it up but Deeb proves unbreakable. Baker stops her and sends her into the steps. Rebel distracts the referee as Baker hold a chair for Deeb to throw Strom into. Deeb scores the pin.

WINNERS: BRITT BAKER DMD and SERENA DEEB.

Baker goes to attack stormwith a chair but Jamie Hayter pulls it away.  Hayter herself destroys Athena with the chair and walks off.

I just noticed that it's 9:34 EST.  The night is flying by. That's a good thing.

AEW Championship Tournament Semi Finals: Chris Jericho vs. Bryan Danieslon

Chops by Danieslon. Roundhouse kicks by Danielson. Running kick by Danielson.  They exchange chops. Another running kick by Danielson. Jericho with a shoulderblock but gets back dropped to the floor. Danielson with a running knee on the floor, he sends Jericho into the post. Danielson rolls him back in and hits a missile dropkick and diving headbutt for 2.  Danielson works the right arm. He kicks Jericho's arm and nails his side kicks.  German suplex out of desperation by Jericho.  Dropkick by Jericho. Springboard forearm by Jericho, he pounds Danielson to the mat. Jericho with slaps. Danielson fires up and they exchange chops.  Double cross body, both are down as we go to commercial.

Danielson mounts the ropes but Jericho catches him. Jericho with punches and a rana off the top ropes. He misses the Judas effect and Danielson applies the cattle mutilation. He can't maintain balance. Danielson drops elbows. Jericho turns the tables and applies elbows of his own. Danielson doesn't register it. They trade chops. Codebreaker by Jerciho but a Busiaku Knee by Danielson.  They trade chops again.  Jericho throws him to the floor.  Danielson's ankle rolls. Jericho attacks the ankle and slams it into the post.  Figure 4 on the post by Jericho. Danielson has lost his boot. Chop block by Jericho. Knee breaker by Jericho. Danielson tries a running knee but Jericho blocks it and applies the Walls.  Single Leg by Jericho. Danielson escapes but Jericho with spinning toe holds. Dragon Screw by Jericho. Figure 4 by Jericho. They exchange punches and Danielson transitions into the Labell Lock.  Jericho taps.

WINNER BRYAN DANIELSON

It's Jon Moxley vs. Bryan Danielson for the AEW World Title next week.

Moxley comes out and the finalists stare each other down and shake hands as we go to credits.
