9/2/22 Results from New Japan's Burning Spiit from from the Yokohama Budokan:

The DKC vs. Kosei Fujita

DKC gets the submission win with the DK Crucifix.

DKC continues to look solid in his second tour of Japan.

Ryohei Oiwa, YOH, YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. Dick Togo, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi and EVIL

YOH takes the mic and debuts a new “No More House of Torture” T-Shirt.   Goto, YOH and YOSHI-HASHI are wearing the shirts and they pass it out to officials at ringside.   House of Torture attacks them.   

Yujiro pins Oiwa after a Pimp Juice.

Jado, Master Wato and Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Gideon Grey, Francesco Akira and TJP

Gideon comes to the ring with United Empire colors.   He is to United Empire what Dick Togo is to House of Torture.

Wato pins Gideon after he and Taguchi hit the Number Nine.

Team 6 or 9 gets a win over the champions, leading to their title match at the end of the month.   

Only the first match, but Gideon needs time to build his character.   They announce him as “The Mastermind” so he will have a role to play with TJP and Akira.   Akira is a boisterous heel and screams at the fans.  His attitude and behavior is matching well in his heel role. 

Aaron Henare, Great O-Khan and Jeff Cobb vs. Gedo, Chase Owens and Bad Luck Fale

Henare traps Gedo in Ultima and gets the submission win.

Despite FTR holding the IWGP Tag Team Titles, this was a reminder that both of these teams are laying claim to the next title shot.

Tomoaki Honma, Togi Makabe and KUSHIDA vs. Hikuleo, KENTA and Taiji Ishimori

Hikuleo pins Honma after a massive Choke Slam.  

BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, SANADA and Tetsuya Naito vs. Yoshinobu Kanemaru, El Desperado, Taichi and Zack Sabre Jr.

Desperado pins BUSHI with a sweet El Es Culero.  

Toru Yano, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Kazuchika Okada vs. Bad Dude Tito, Shane Haste and JONAH

JONAH levels Yano with a lariat and comes off the top rope with a Torpedo.

JONAH pins Yano.

Good match.   Haste and Tito were solid against Tanahashi and Okada.  JONAH is over like a monster.

JONAH and Okada will face each other in October in a singles match.  

JONAH takes the mic and says TMDK is taking over.   He said to forget all the other factions.  TMDK will dominate.  

In the Burning Spirit Tour, the events will lead to the following Title matches:

On 9/18 - NEVER Openweight 6-man Championship: YOH, YOSHI-HASHI and Hirooki Goto vs. SHO, Yujiro Takahashi and EVIL.

On 9/25:

1.  IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Championship:  Francesco Akira and TJP vs. Master Wato and Ryusuke Taguchi

2. NEVER Openweight Championship:  Karl Anderson vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

3. IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship:  Will Ospreay vs. David Finlay
