By Mike Johnson on 2022-09-03 16:41:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's Clash at the Castle post-show press conference.

Byron Saxton introduced Paul Levesque.

Levesque thanked everyone from coming to the event.  He said he's been in the UK all weeks and heard stories all week long about how Summerslam shaped so many memories for fans.  He believes they were able to create new memories tonight.  He said it took many months to put this together since they come to a market and they want to leave a lasting memory.  They did community outreach, fan activations and a night of action.  They did so many things including The Undertaker event, his One Man Show, the stories they operated as pop-ups.  He thanked Cardiff for being fantastic.  He was in London and people were so excited, you would have thought the event was there.

When he arrived in Cardiff, you couldn't walk a block without seeing something related to the show and he was impressed by how much support was poured into the event by the city.  They had over 62,000 fans but more important is they had fan from 42 different countries.  78% of the audience came from outside of Wales.   No one puts on an event like WWE.  He thanked the talent, saying they are the best in the world.

The first person to take questions was Roman Reigns.  He and HHH shook hands.

Roman was asked about the atmosphere of the event.  He just sat there silently and didn't respond at first.  He said he'd ratrher you do what they wouldn't do.  He demanded the person acknowledge him and walked off.

WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER, Seth Rollins and WWE Smackdown Women's Champion Liv Morgan were brought out to answer questions.  They were asked about the audience.  Liv said the audience felt like Wrestlemania and they were all very happy.  GUNTHER said everyone who steps in the ring wants to be in an atmosphere like that and this was his first time in an arena that size.  Rollins wanted to shout out the fans who sang his song tonight and made the show electric from start to finish.

GUNTHER was asked about what sort of respect Sheamus earned from him tonight.  He said Sheamus is a legend in the company and the sport and doesn't get the attention he deserves.  He said what happened tonight is what the sport should be, an intense, physical battle.

Seth was asked about his outfit.  He said he may dress this way but he's put 24/7 of his life into the business and told the reporter not to be jealous.

They were asked about everything they do and how should they be recognized for it.  Seth said it's their privilege to be in WWE and work on tours and events like this.  It's part of the process but this is their dream and it's something they've loved for years and in some cases, their entire live.  Liv said you can't do this business if you don't live it with every fiber of your being.  GUNTHER said that he doesn't know anyone who doesn't stay and have success if they don't love the business.

They were asked if they watched Summerslam 1992 in preparation for the show.  Seth pointed out he was rocking a jacket with hearts on it out of respect for Bret.  Liv joked she wasn't even born when that show took place.

Drew McIntyre was next out, followed by Tyson Fury.  He said the crowd was unbelievable.  He was around all week promoting the show.  He talked about his love of the business and working for Brian Dixon and Orig Williams.  He said that the show was so much more than he dreamed.  He went into storyline mode and said he will deal with Roman, but said they are proud that they did it, proud of the fans and said he doesn't think this is the last big stadium show for WWE.

Drew was asked about tonight being a crowning moment for him and what's his focal point going forward.  He said he wants to keep getting better.  He had to hit rock bottom and get released to rebuild himself and come back a better man.

Tyson Fury said he would be announcing his next boxing fight next week.  He was asked about the potential of joining WWE full-time.  He said never say never and he has the passion for it, but he has a few more years of fighting and basically left the door open.  HHH said when he's done with his work in the boxing ring, the door is always open for him.  They loved having him and his family here.  When the time comes and they have that conversation, whether it's Drew or Roman, they are going to have to build a bigger stadium for the shows.

Triple H said it's time to end the entertainment side and talk business.  It was time for his Q&A.

HHH was asked about more international events.  He said NXT UK started and they had big plans but then the pandemic happened.  The time to make the big moves they had planned for now.  They pulled back NXT UK to prepare for NXT Europe.  The long-term plan is to have other areas to eventually create a world cup scenario when they face off.  There are a lot of places on this planet and a lot of stadiums and they all know WWE and give their stars this sort of reaction.  He said tonight was just step one of the process and we'll see lots of announcements in the years to come.

He was asked about the future of the Clash of the Castle tour name.  HHH said there's only so many places that have castles but they can use Clash in different places.  There are opportunities for them all over the globe.  They just have to figure out the right cadence to make it work there.  They want to hit markets all over the world.

He was asked about Bad Bunny and other celebrities.  He got a house in Orlando and trained every day at the PC.  Logan Paul doesn't get as good as he got if he didn't work at it.  The same thing for Pat McAfee.  If people want to take what they do seriously and work with them, he wants to work with them.  He said he and Bad Bunny are scheduled to talk soon and see what they can figured out.

HHH was asked about the crowd tonight.  He said that there was a comment made by Michael Cole about there being 62,000 extra members of the team tonight  WWE wants to put smiles on faces and they were able to feel 62,000 people going crazy tonight.  He said those people with those passion is what drives them.  It's different from other sports.  Everything they do is connected to the fan base and that's different from everything else in the world.

That was the final question.
