Former WWE star Bull Buchanan could potentially make his first WWE appearance since January 2003 next week. Buchanan will be at the WWE Performance Center all next week in Orlando, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Should he appear on WWE NXT TV, Buchanan, the father of current WWE NXT star Brooks Jensen, would make his first appearance in almost 20 years.
It is most quite possible (and probably most likely) Buchanan will be in Orlando to work as a Guest Coach for the WWE NXT system. WWE recently brought Dave Taylor and Santana Garrett in as guest coaches.
Buchanan, 54, broke into the Southern independent wrestling scene in the early 1990s and made appearances in the original ECW and Smoky Mountain Wrestling before being signed to a WWF developmental deal. He was sent to Memphis where he became part of The Truth Commission. The group was called up in 1997 to the WWF main roster but quickly dissipated. He was then sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling before being brought back initially as a tag team partner for the late, great Big Bossman and then shifting over to being part of the Steve Richards-fronted Right to Censor heel faction. He later was linked to John Cena as B-Squared during Cena's heel hip hop era.
After he was released in January 2003, Buchanan had long runs with both Pro Wrestling NOAH (where he and D'Lo Brown had a really underrated run as a team) and All Japan Pro Wrestling. He retired from performing in the ring in 2014, but did work a match with his son in 2019.
