NWA Hard Times 3 will be headlined by NWA Champ Trevor Murdoch vs. Matt Cardona in New Orleans on 11/12.
On the most recent NWA Powerrr TV show, it was announced by Ricky Steamboat that he was involved in putting together the tournament for the top contender to NWA National Champion Cyon.
A locker room meeting held at the NWA TV tapings yesterday in Nashville has gotten a lot of discussion after the fact among the talents affer and that has continued on today. Due to the scheduled meeting time being delayed as there was a production meeting running late, Jay Bradley and Sal Rinauro acted as if they were running the meeting and were in charge, giving out some of the usual directions about punctuality at the tapings and other instruction. Some took their actions as a rib (which is what several have told us it was meant to be) while others took offense at the fact it happened, given there were actual veterans in the room including Jazz, Bully Ray and Homicide who would be far more "deserving" to speak at such a meeting. There is a story making the rounds that some walked out of the meeting once they "realized" Bradley and Rinauro had "called for the meeting" as well but we haven't been able to confirm that with multiple sources. We are told the meeting was not called for by Bradley and Rinauro and we can't confirm anyone walked out but there were certainly ruffled feathers with at least one talent.
During the meeting, Luke Hawx also spoke for a period time about respect for the locker room, noting that a number of times recently the roster has been asked to clean up after themselves but instead others have to spend time cleaning up food and others items after events are completed. Hawx noted that Billy Corgan is spending money and investing in everyone and the least they can do is show the locker room common respect by doing what is asked of them by the NWA's Sherri Shaw and others. Hawx, who can get worked up and coaches his own students in New Orleans, was said to be in that realm so certainly some of that may have turned off others but we were told his heart was in the right place.
The promotion finishes off its tapings today at Skyway Studios in Nashville.
Pat Kenney was back again working as the tapings as he recovers from his stroke from awhile back.
