THE BOOKING OF THE AEW TITLE MATCH HAD A HUGE EFFECT ON THE QUARTER HOUR VIEWERSHIP

By Dave Scherer on 2022-08-26 17:31:00

Some readers asked me how Dynamite performed in the quarter hour ratings on Wednesday, with the question mainly being how did the way the World Title match was booked affect the show.  I went to the site that does a great job with the ratings, Wrestlenomics.com, to see.  There is a definitely story told in the viewership pattern.

Time Quarter Hour Rating
8:00 1,097,000 viewers.
8:15 1,046,000 viewers.
8:30 1,006,000 viewers.
8:45 1,036,000 viewers.
9:00 1,198,000 viewers.
9:15 1,030,000 viewers.
9:30 987,000 viewers.
9:45 993,000 viewers.

Obviously, the show peaked with Punk vs. Mox and then lost 168,000 viewers in the next segment.  They lost of 200,000 viewers by the time that the show ended.  Mike Eps and I will be discussing these numbers on the FMB tomorrow.

They also have numbers on how the demo did as well.  It's a great site and you can click this link to read their report.
