COMPLETE AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

By Anthony Pires on 2022-08-24 20:18:00

It's Wednesday Night. And that means Cory Strode and I are BACK TOGETHER for AEW Dynamite as we crown an undisputed AEW World Champion tonight!  We also have Trios Tournament Action. Jim Ross, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz are on the call tonight.

Chris Jericho comes out for a face to face with Daniel Garcia. The fans happily sing along to "Judas". Jericho likes how Cleveland sounds tonight.  Daniel Garcia comes out to confront him. Garcia seems conflicted.  Cleveland chants "You're a Wrestler" at Garcia.  Jericho knows Garcia went through hell last week and that emotions ran high.  He does, however, want an apology. Garcia retorts that Jericho knew how special last week was.  He is proud to have hung 30 minutes with Danielson last week.  He dreamed of a match like that since he was a kid.  He didn't care about anything at that moment except the respect Danielson showed him but said that Jericho ruined it.  Jericho apologizes and tells Garcia he's the best technichal sports entertainer in the world today but still wants his apology.

Enter Bryan Danielson.  He sees that Garcia's mentor is trying to bully him. Danielson respects Garcia wrestling him last week.  Jericho DEMANDS that Garcia acknowledge he's a sports entertainer.  Jericho grabs Garcia and Garcia shoves him down.  Garcia walks off. Danielson says that was pretty entertaining. Jericho tell him he's sick of being told that Danielson is the best wrestler in the world.  Jericho says he's the last survivor of the Dungeon.  Danielson indicates the Hart Family would choose him over Jericho.  Jericho agrees to wrestle Danielson at All Out. Jake Hager clotheslines Danielson from behind and plants him to the canvas.

As we return, Lethal off the top rope but Dax with a shot to the midsection. Superplex is countered by Lethal into a Gourdbuster.  Dax catches Lethal with a gut shot.  Dax with German suplexes, the last of which is a wide release. Jabs by Dax and Lethal fires back. Lethal attempts a figure 4 but Dax evades it. Facedrop by Lethal for 2. They trade chops and forearms. Dragon Screw by Lethal. Dax to the floor and Lethal hits a tope suicida. Wow.

Schiavone is with Christian Cage. He extends an olive branch and says he was trying to motivate Jungle Boy. He accepts Jungle Boy's challenge for All Out.

Ricky Starks takes to the ring. He's in a bad mood over the events over the last few weeks.  He reminds us that Powerhouse Hobbs has always been a background player.  He is FURIOUS that Hobbs suckered him from behind in the neck.  Starks is fired up.  He challenges Hobbs 1 on 1 for All Out.

Jon Moxley is in the back and he's not happy that people wrote him off. He declares himself THE guy.
