NJPW STRONG REPORT: DAX HARWOOD, EL DESPERADO, HIROMU, AND MORE IN ACTION

Match Number One: Drew Adler versus JR Kratos

Adler does some gesturing to Kratos before both go for clotheslines. Adler with forearms and chops but Kratos stays on his feet. Adler realizes he made a mistake and shakes Kratos’ hand. Kraotos with a shoulder and a chop. Adler with a bicycle kick and Kratos with a drop kick and then Kratos mocks Adler. Adler drops Kratos on the ropes and Adler with a slingshot senton for a near fall. Alder with a Yakuza kick into the corner and then he tries to get Kratos up on his shoulders but that does not work. Kratos with a running boot to Adler. Kratos with a suplex for a near fall.

Kratos pushes Adler into the corner and Adler with an arm bar. Kratos with punches and Adler goes down. Kratos with a suplex. Kratos runs into a boot and Adler returns to the arm bar and he chops Kratos. Kratos stomps on the foot and he gets Adler up but Adler gets to his feet and he this a jumping round kick and a power slam for a near fall. Adler goes up top and he misses a cross body. Kratos with a spinning uranage for the three count.

Winner: JR Kratos

We go to The Work Horsemen, JD Drake and Anthony Henry for comments.

Anthony says that is what they have been talking about. It is time that they showed up on New Japan Strong. Drake says that is a symbol of excellence. Henry says they are facing two of the top stars. They have KUSHIDA and Shibata Junior, Ren Narita. At some point, you are going to be one of the very best. You are up against two men. Drake says they are obsessed and possessed with success. They will prove why they are not just the best in America, but in the entire world.

Match Number Two: Rocky Romero versus Dax Harwood

They lock up and Dax backs Rocky into the corner but pushes Rocky away. Rocky shimmies for Dax. They lock up and Dax with an arm drag. They lock up and Dax with a side head lock. Rocky with a side head lock and Dax backs him into the ropes. Dax with a side head lock and Rocky backs him into the ropes. Rocky with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Dax with a hip toss and arm drag into an arm bar.

Rocky backs Dax into the corner and chops him. Dax with chops of his own as they go around the ring. Rocky chops back and then they exchange chops. Rocky with a thumb to the eyes but Dax does the same. Rocky with a head scissors to send Dax to the floor. Dax gets back in the ring and they exchange chops again. Dax with an Irish whip but he misses a shoulder into the turnbuckles. Rocky with a divorce court. Rocky with knee drops to the arm. Dax with a chpp and Rocky with a kick to the shoulder.

Rocky with a knee drop to the arm of the turnbuckles. Rocky slams the arm into the mat and then drops a knee onto the arm. Rocky with an arm wringer but Dax with punches and chops to get free. Dax is sent to the apron and Rocky kicks Dax in the ropes. Dax with a chop but Rocky with a kick. Rocky with more kicks to Dax and a missile drop kick to Dax in the ropes for a near fall.

Rocky with a top wrist lock into a double wrist lock. Dax with forearms and chops. Dax with jabs and a series of punches. Dax with an inside cradle for a near fall. Rocky with a back heel kick for a near fall.

Rocky goes for a suplex and Dax blocks it. Dax with a double leg take down and he applies a sharpshooter. Rocky gets to the ropes to force a break. Rocky kicks Dax away. Rocky with an elbow and a DDT off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Rocky goes up top but Dax with a forearm to stop him. Dax with a superplex and both men are down. Dax has a boot to the chest blocked and Rocky with an inside cradle for a near fall. Rocky with an O’Connor Roll and Backlund bridge for a near fall. Rocky with Sliced Bread for a near fall and he goes for a cross arm breaker but Dax blocks it and hits a one arm DDT. Dax with a sharpshooter and Rocky has to tap out.

Winner: Dax Harwood

After the match, Romero and Harwood have some words and then Dax pushes Romero. Romero offers his hand and Dax shakes it.

Match Number Three: Blake Christian versus El Desperado versus Hiromu Takahashi

After many chants from the crowd, the wrestlers finally decide to do something and Hiromu raises the referee’s hand to respond to the chants and asks if he wants to join the match. They all surround the referee and figure they should keep it a Triple Threat match.

All three men go to the apron and then Blake gets ready to face off against the referee while Desperado and Hiromu watch. After three and a half minutes, the three wrestlers decide to start the match.

Blake and Hiromu kick Desperado and then Hiromu chops Blake and clotheslines him in the corner. Hiromu misses a clothesline and kick. All three men have super kicks blocked by someone and they hold another leg. They decide to put them down at the same time but none of them do it. They put their feet down and then Desperado and Hiromu kick Blake. Hiromu and Desperado with a double shoulder tackle.

They Irish whip Blake but he avoids both men. Desperado kicks Hiromu and then Blake with a kick to Desperado and a springboard clothesline to Hiromu. Blake blocks a kick from Desperado and hits a spinning heel kick. Desperado goes to the floor and Blake sets for a dive to the floor but bounces off the ropes and stays in the ring. Hiromu hits Blake from behind and chops him. Blake with a back breaker and then he hits a Tiger Feint Kick to the leg and a cross body to the back. Hiromu goes to the floor. Blake is tripped by Desperado and pulled to the floor. Desperado kicks Hiromu and sends him into the guardrail. Desperado sends Blake back into the ring. Desperado with a belly-to-back suplex to Blake and he gets a near fall.

Blake with punches and forearms to Desperado. Desperado with a rake of the eyes and slam to Blake. Desperado with a single leg crab. Hiromu chops Blake a few times. Blake with a forearm and then they exchange chops. Hiromu with an Irish whip and clothesline followed by a running drop kick to Blake for a near fall. Hiromu with a Boston Crab and Desperado rakes Hiromu’s eyes to get Hiromu to release the hold. Hiromu chops Desperado and Desperado chops back. They go back and forth while Blake recovers.

Desperado adds some forearms and Hiromu goes there. Blake with forearms but Desperado with a knee and Hiromu with a punch to Blake. Blake kicks Hiromu and then kicks Desperado. Blake with a leap frog drop kick to Hiromu and then he uses Desperado to clothesline Hiromu. Blake with a dragon suplex to Desperado. Blake with a quebrada to Hiromu for a near fall. Blake with a chop to Hiromu followed by a belly-to-back suplex. Blake goes to the apron and Desperado pulls Blake off the apron when he tries for a springboard move. Desperado with a frog splash to Hiromu for a near fall.

Blake with a forearm and Desperado fires back with a forearm. They continue the exchange. Blake and Desperado want to one up the other with the forearms. Desperado with a rake of the eyes and Blake with an uppercut. Desperado with a back elbow and he tries for a spinebuster but Blake blocks it. Blake blocks a suplex. Desperado sends Blake to Hiromu and Blake with a head scissors. Desperado with a forearm to send Blake to the apron. Desperado runs into a kick from Blake when he tries for a suicide dive. Hiromu trips Blake and Hiromu goes up top and hits a back senton onto Desperado. Blake with a Fosbury Flop and he holds on and hits a double reverse DDT on the floor.

Blake sends Hiromu back into the ring and goes up top for a 450 splash but rolls through when Hiromu moves. Blake with a rollup and he goes for a splash but Hiromu gets his knees up. Hiromu gets a near fall. Hiromu goes for a suplex but Blake blocks it. Hiromu with a forearm and Blake fires back. Hiromu with a back elbow. Blake goes for a handspring move but Hiromu catches him and hits a German suplex. Hiromu gets Blake but but Blake gets to his feet. Desperado kicks Hiromu. Blake kicks Desperado and Hiromu kicks Blake. Desperado with a spinebuster to Hiormu. Blake with Spanish Fly to Desperado and Hiromu with a running drop kick to send Blake into the turnbuckles.

Hiromu with a running Death Valley Driver to Blake into the turnbuckles. He gets Blake up but Blake gets to his feet and he hits a jumping knee. Hiromu with a clotheslines but Blake lands on his feet. Blake with a round kick and Hiromu with a forearm. Blake with a discus clothesline to Hiromu. Blake gets Hiromu up for an airplane spin into a Death Valley Driver. Blake with a knee drop off Hiromu’s back for a near fall. Blake with forearms. Desperado with chops. Blake misses a kick and Desperado with a round kick and he goes for Pinche Loco but Blake lands on his feet. Desperado with a back slide into Pinche Loco for the three count.

Winner: El Desperado

After the match, Desperado takes the mic and apologizes for his bad English. He says he would like for Blake Christian to be in next year’s Best of Super Juniors. He says he respects the USA and likes the USA, but he hates airplanes. He does not know how many times he will come to the USA. He thanks everyone.
