A FUN opener.

They air footage from Killer Kelly's debut last week.

Backstage, some of the talents including Zicky Dice and Swinger are watching Kelly on a monitor and praising her debut.  Tasha Steelz and Savannah Evans aren't having it and feel Tasha is way more important and impressive.  Kelly shows up and Tasha mockingly praises her.  Tasha tells her don't take anything personally.  Kelly tells her she doesn't and that this isn't a game and Kelly will be keeping an eye on her.  Savannah steps in between them and Kelly says that if Evans wants to get involved, they can fight later tonight.

They plugged all the upcoming dates.

Backstage, Impact Wrestling Champion Josh Alexander is with Rich Swann.  He says that he wants to see Rich win tonight so they can step into the ring and have the fight of their lives.  Honor No More's Vincent shows up and told Alexander that he's running himself ragged and is going to collapse like a race horse on a track.  He said that when Swann collapsed, they found someone else and Swann took offense to this.  Vincent said that luck eventually ends and walked out.  Alexander and Swann looked at each other.

The announcers react to everything that went down and run down tonight's lineup.

Kenny King with Vincent vs. Heath Miller

They showed footage of Heath attacking King at Emergence.

They started brawling at the bell.  Heath got the better of the exchange and nailed a powerslam.  King went to the floor to break the momentum.  Heath followed and tossed him in the ring but Vincent distracted him, allowing King to nail a pescado to the outside as they went to commercial.

When they returned, King was controlling Heath on the mat.    They showed King hit several big moves during the break.  King nailed a snap suplex and a leaping legdrop but missed.  Heath fired back with some big punches and kicks before scoring a two count with a neckbreaker.  King is hit with the Wake Up Call and pinned.

Backstage, The Motor City Machineguns and KUSHIDA note they didn't win at Emergence.  Alex Shelley pays respect to Josh Alexander.  Chris Sabin and KUSHIDA said that Violence of Design had them beat 3 to 2 but next week, all three of them will face VBD in the ring.  They dub the trio Time Machine.

Backstage, Honor No More isn't happy about what happened with Heath Miller, PCO and Eddie Edwards.  This should be a time they are celebrating but this happened.  They questioned what happened to PCO.  Doc Gallows is hurt do they don't know when the OGK are getting their Tag Team title shot.  The OGK and Maria leave to deal with that and approach Scott D'Amore.  They want the title shot they earned at Emergence.  Gallows will be out a few weeks.  Maria is upset about that so they want a handicap match.  Scott said it's always a handicap match when she's in OGK's corner.  He makes Karl Anderson vs. Mike Bennett for next week and if Karl wins, Maria is banned from the title bout.

Killer Kelly vs. Savannah Evans with Tasha Steelz

They faced off at the bell.  The crowd chanted for Kelly, who went for a sleeper but was tossed off.  Evans grabbed her by the throat and Kelly liked it.  Well, OK.  Evans nailed a charge in the corner.  Kelly began firing back and laughed at all her offense.  Evans missed a charge and hit her shoulder in the corner.  Kelly nailed a dropkick to the face for a two count.  She went for a double underhook suplex but it was blocked.  Evans nailed an evil German suplex.  Kelly came back to lock in the Killer Clutch and forced her tap.

Your winner, Killer Kelly!

Backstage, Rosemary and Taya are talking about losing the Knockouts Tag Team titles at Emergence with Jessicka.  Rosemary thinks Jessicka and Taya have proven to be bad inluences on the other and that's why they have lost the belts.  Jessicka wants to prove herself in her first-ever (?!?) match next week.  Rosemary agrees but Taya has to stay away from ringside.  Things get muddled when she is with Jessicka so Rosemary will take point and train her.

They show Masha Slamovich confronting Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace at Emergence.

Gia Miller interviewed Grace.  She isn't going to hide from challengers and Masha is at the top of who deserves a title shot.  Gia asked her about where things stand between her and Mia Yim going forward.  Jordynne said that she wishes she knew and put her over as a competitor.  Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green intrude into the scene and mock Jordynne for not getting her handshake and said that they are true best friends and have each other's backs.  That's why they are champions and it's only a matter of time before Deonna becomes champ champ again.  Grace offers to fight them both and Mia backs her up.  She called them Ren and Stimpys.  Big pop for that.   They challenge VXT to put up the Knockouts titles and they hesitate but agree.

X-Division Champion Mike Bailey vs. Chris Bey

Lots of great back and forth work here.  Bailey nailed a big shotgun dropkick and opened up with some big kicks.  He went for a standing shooting star press but missed.  Bey came off the top but missed and Bailey lit him up with a fast series of kicks.  He nailed the Ultimate Weapon but missed a KO kick.  Bey rolled him up for a two count.  Bey went for a dive but Bailey moved and nailed a moonsault.  Bey came back with an awesome flip dive to the aisle.   Bey crotched him on the top and laid him across the top for a double stomp.   Bey went to the top but missed a double stomp.  Bey went for a powerbomb off out of the buckles and scored a two count.  Bey and Bailey battled back and forth with some awesome kicks but Bailey finally scored one and came off the top with Ultimate Weapon off the ropes.

Your winner and still champion, Mike Bailey!

Damn good match.

The classic Impact+ footage was Victory Road last year with Christian Cage vs. Ace Austin.

Backstage, Impact Wrestling Digital Media Champion Brian Myers is walking down a hallway.  Bhupinder Gujjar confronted him.  Myers tried to blow him off but was shoved.  Myers goes to punch him but is slammed down.  Gujjar said that they aren't done and now he's pissed off.

The announcers push the 9/23 Victory Road PPV.

Eddie Edwards vs. Sami Callihan vs. Moose vs. Steve Maclin vs. Rich Swann vs. Bandido in an Elimination Match to determine the number one contender to Impact Wrestling Champion Josh Alexander.

Swann and Bandido started out and had some really fun back and forth action as they tried to feel each other out.  They each went for ranas and faced off.  They missed dropkicks and faced off again.  The crowd was loving it but Edwards tagged himself in and attacked Swann.

Swann nailed several dropkicks and tagged out to Callihan.  He and Edwards peppered each other with forearms.  Callihan nailed a DVDR and tagged in Swann who nailed a rolling thunder.  He hit a flip dive off the apron on Sami and Edwards as they went to commercial.  Back in the ring, Callihan and Swann battled.  Moose tagged in and attacked Swann.

It was down to two men.

The crowd was SUPER behind Swann.  Edwards worked him over with a big lariat for a two count.    Edwards went to the top but Swann kicked him out of nowhere and nailed a top rope rana.  Swann charged and nailed a big dropkick to the face for a two count.  Edwards rolled to the outside.  He grabbed the Kendo Stick and nailed Swann but Swann kicked up at the last second.  Edwards missed the Boston Knee Party and Swann used a forward roll for a two count.  Edwards nailed the Boston Knee Party but Swann kicked out.  Edwards grabbed him and nailed the Die Hard Driver for the pin.
