The 2022 World Wrestling Championships will be hosted by Serbia and are scheduled to take place from Sat, 10th Sept 2022 – Sun, 18th Sept 2022. This will be the first time Serbia will ever host any international wrestling sporting event. It has been a long time coming for the country to host such an event as they are one of the most popular countries to watch wrestling in Eastern Europe. Their large following of fans and strong foundation in wrestling make this tournament very exciting and unique.

The next iteration of the World Wrestling Championships is scheduled to take place one year from now, on 10 September 2022. There will be 7 days of wrestling competition across multiple weight classes, and there’s sure to be some great action to see. Host city

The World Wrestling Championships of combined events, which will take place in Belgrade, Serbia, at Štark Arena; between September 10 and 18, 2022, are in their 17th year. The 2023 Senior World Championships will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, according to approval from the UWW Bureau. The city will play host to the world's best wrestlers in September 2022. This will be the first time the city has hosted the tournament, and it will surely be a memorable event. Many countries have already sent their most talented athletes to compete to prepare for the upcoming event. We are happy to announce that our top-ranked wrestler, Joe Jones, will compete at this prestigious tournament.

When and where is it taking place?

The 2023 Senior World Championships will be held in Belgrade, Serbia, according to approval from the UWW Bureau. However, Belgrade will take Krasnoyarsk's place as the 2022 World Championships host due to Russia's limits on holding the event in 2021–2022. The host of the 2023 World Championships will switch to Russia.

Who will be there?

This event will bring together the best wrestlers from all over the world to compete for the title of World Champion. As predicted by fans, some of the top athletes expected to compete have not been confirmed yet. The wrestling mats at Belgrade, the capital of Serbia, will be a genuinely international battlefield with only one goal: a gold medal.
