By James Kurokawa  on 2022-08-14 15:56:00

8/14/22 Results from the G1 Climax 32 from Nagano, Japan:

Kosei Fujita, Royhei Oiwa, Yuto Nakashima and Hirooki Goto vs. Dick Togo, SHO, Yujiro Takahashi and EVIL

SHO taps out Fujita with a cross arm breaker.

Bad Dude Tito and JONAH vs. Aaron Henare and  Will Ospreay

Ospreay pins Tito after a Hidden Blade.

After the match, Juice, ELP, Owens and Fale attack Ospreay and Henare as they were heading back to the locker room.  Juice hits a Piledriver on Ospreay.  Juice and Ospreay will meet on Tuesday at the Budokan.  Ospreay was hurting.  Juice steals back the IWGP U.S. belt.

BUSHI, SANADA, Shingo Takagi and Tetsuya Naito vs. El Phantasmo, Chase Owens, Bad Luck Fale and Juice Robinson

BUSHI eats a Left Hand of God from Juice.  Owens hits BUSHI with a C-Trigger.  Owens pins BUSHI.

Bullet Club looked sharp in this match.  As the G1 begins to wrap up, these angles set up things for the future.  Juice, Ospreay and David Finlay will be fighting for U.S. belt in the coming months.

Toru Yano, Tomohiro Ishii and Kazuchika Okada vs. TAKA Michinoku, Zack Sabre Jr. and Lance Archer

Yano rolls up TAKA for a pin.

Archer and Okada never locked up.  Archer talked tons of trash. They will face each other on Tuesday to decide the A Block.  Good heat and build up for that match.

Jado and Tama Tonga vs. Gedo and Jay White

Tama pins Gedo after a Gun Stun.

After the match, Switchblade destroys a chair on Tama.  He talks a bunch of trash and hits a Bladerunner on Tama.

On Tuesday, Jay White vs. Tama Tonga will decide the winner of B Block.  This could also culminate the feud between Tama Tonga and Bullet Club.

G1 Climax Matches:

JONAH joins Kevin Kelly on English commentary.

D Block:  YOSHI-HASHI vs. David Finlay

Good competitive match.  Both men are hurting after this long tournament.

YOSHI-HASHI pins Finlay after reversing an Acid Drop into a cradle.

YOSHI-HASHI is in a tie with 6 points for the lead in D Block.  David Finlay is also in the tie with 6 points for the lead.  There is a potential for all men in D-Block to all finish at 3-3 which would be a 7-way tie.  Crazy situation in the D Block.

B Block: Taichi vs. Great O-Khan

Taichi pins O-Khan with a cradle.

Taichi finishes with 6 points.  Great O-Khan finishes with 2 points.  Both are eliminated.

The B Block will be decided between Jay White vs. Tama Tonga on Tuesday.

8 - A Block:  Tom Lawlor vs. Jeff Cobb

Lawlor hit a Regal Plex and an NKOTB.  Lawlor pins Cobb.

Tom Lawlor finishes with 6 points.  Jeff Cobb finishes with 6 points.  Both are eliminated.

In the A Block, two matches are left:  Kazuchika Okada vs. Lance Archer and JONAH vs. Bad Luck Fale.  Fale is out but Archer, Okada and JONAH are still alive.

C Block:  Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. KENTA

Stiff brutal match.  They teased same table spot which injured KENTA back at Wrestle Kingdom.   The amount of open hand strikes they both took was crazy.

KENTA pins Tanahashi after a GTS.

KENTA and Tanahashi both finish at 3-3 with 6 points each.  Zack Sabre Jr. still leads C Block with 8 points.  Zack Sabre Jr. will meet Tetsuya Naito in their final G1 match on Tuesday to determine the winner of B Block.

After the match, KENTA signed his book in the ring for a young fan.
