Fans have hotly contested Sasha Banks and Naomi's return to WWE, and it appears that their dream may soon come true.
WrestlingNews.co reports that Sasha Banks and Naomi are on their way back to WWE amidst a stormy 2022 that has seen one surprising backstage scandal after another.
Banks and Naomi forfeited the WWE Raw Women's Tag Team Championships after they left the building during a broadcast. The decision was as abrupt as going all in with just a high card in poker. While we all love poker, it is undoubtedly a risky game if played without any strategy. The best casinos to play online poker can be found here. So, Naomi and Banks walked out, leaving the belts on the desk of John Laurinaitis, a former executive vice president of talent affairs for the company. Sasha and Naomi were instantly buried in the commentary. The WWE Raw colour commentator, Corey Graves, said they "summarily and unprofessionally" stormed out.
During Smackdown, the WWE announced on May 21, 2022, that it was suspending the pair indefinitely and renouncing their tag-team championship. However, Naomi and Sasha remained mum about the situation all week—except for Sasha's move to unfollow the WWE, Vince McMahon, and several other superstars on Twitter. Naomi also took a silent dig at WWE by removing its name from her Twitter account.
Banks and Naomi's contracts were reportedly about to expire, in addition to creative differences. Their departure posed a possible nightmare for WWE if two of its most extraordinary talents appeared on AEW television.
There were reports in the middle of an internal WWE investigation and mounting claims of hush money payouts for sexual misbehaviour. The whole fiasco took a turn when Vince McMahon abruptly retired/resigned.
Laurinaitis and Vince McMahon leaving WWE created an odd opportunity for Naomi and Banks to make a comeback under the Triple H era. News of WWE's efforts to make amends with Sasha Banks and Naomi surfaced within a few days after McMahon announced his retirement.
Sasha Banks and Naomi might make their comebacks as soon as the first week of August with WWE Raw following SummerSlam. The show already exudes a #RawAfterMania vibe following the promotion's third-biggest event of the year.
