WWE NXT UK REPORT: TOURNAMENT BEGINS, AND MORE

Your announcers are Nigel McGuinness and Andy Shepherd.

Oliver Carter says that he might not be 100 percent but he is up for becoming the next NXT UK Champion.

Charlie says that Oliver Carter has shown nothing but disrespect for Die Familie and it ends tonight.  After I am done with Carter, it is on to becoming NXT UK Champion.

Match Number One:  Oliver Carter versus Charlie Dempsey (with Teoman and Rohan Raja) in a First Round Match in the NXT UK Men’s Championship Tournament

Carter attacks Raja and Teoman from behind and gets in a shot or two on Dempsey.  The referee has to separate them before he starts the match.

Carter with punches and Dempsey with a knee and forearm to the back.  They exchange forearms and chops along with some European uppercuts.  Dempsey with a kick to the thigh and a European uppercut.  Carter and Dempsey exchange European uppercuts.  Dempsey with a kick and Carter with kicks.  Carter clotheslines Dempsey over the top rope to the floor.  Carter with a pescado and then he stares down Raja and Teoman.

Carter sends Dempsey back into the ring.  Dempsey with an arm wringer that sends Carter into the turnbuckles and Carter appears to have reinjured his knee.  Dempsey works on the injured leg.  Carter with punches and forearms.  Dempsey with a single leg take down and he works on the ankle.  Dempsey with a figure four on the legs and he tries for a Regal Stretch.  Carter with a forearm to the back and Dempsey kicks Carter.

Carter with punches and forearms and chops.  Carter goes for a springboard move but his leg gives out and he lands awkwardly on the mat.  Dempsey with kicks and then he applies a step over toe hold and tries to bridge back.  Dempsey with a figure four to the legs and he drops back to the mat to add more damage to the leg.  Dempsey with a kick to Carter.  Dempsey with a European uppercut.  Carter with forearms.

Dempsey with a bridging exploder for a near fall.  Dempsey kicks the leg and works on the ankle.  Dempsey puts his boot on Carter’s throat.  Dempsey with a knee bar but Carter kicks Dempsey to escape the hold.  The referee checks on Carter and Dempsey grabs the leg and applies a knee bar.  Dempsey slaps Carter but Carter slaps back.  Dempsey with a side head lock take down into a near fall.

Dempsey with a stretch muffler but Carter with forearms.  Carter with more forearms but he misses an enzuigiri.  Dempsey with forearms to the injured leg and a leg trapped Dragon suplex for a near fall.  Dempsey goes for a Fujiwara arm bar  and locks it in but Carter rolls through and escapes.  Carter with a flying forearm and a second one.  Carter with a back body drop and Carter goes down.  Carter hobbles into boots in the corner.  Carter with a uranage for a near fall.  Carter with a chop.

Carter goes for a thrust kick but his leg gives out.  Dempsey with a knee bar and he tries for a single leg crab but Carter with a kick.  Dempsey blocks a bicycle kick but Carter with a flip into a kick.  Carter’s leg gives out when he goes for a running boot.  Dempsey with a dragon screw leg whip into a single leg crab.  Carter rolls through and gets the three count.

Winner:  Oliver Carter (Advances to face winner of Wolfgang versus Trent Seven)

We take a look at footage from after last week’s main event when Blair Davenport, Amale, Isla Dawn, and Eliza Alexander are yelling in the back with officials and Sid Scala.

Sid tells everyone that no one gets a title match as he sends them to their own rooms.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Tyler Bate is asked why he is here tonight when he does not have a match.

Tyler says he is here to watch Trent’s match.

Sid Scala stops Tyler and says he understands Tyler’s feelings about Trent and he asks Tyler not to get involved in Trent’s match.

Tyler says he would not go after Trent but he is coming for the title and it would hurt Trent the most if he wins the tournament.

Match Number Two:  Eliza Alexander versus Thea Hail (with Andre Chase and Bodhi Hayward)

Alexander with a forearm to the back and more forearms.  Hail with a head scissors take down.  Hail with a wheelbarrow into an arm drag and a drop kick.  Hail with forearms and punches.  Hail with an uppercut but Alexander blocks a wheelbarrow move and hot shots Hail.  Alexander with a clothesline.  Alexander with forearms and she tosses Hail across the ring by the hair.  Hail with a punch and forearms.

Alexander with an Irish whip but Hail with a rollup for a near fall.  Alexander with a knee and suplex.  Alexander with a forearm to the back and she sends Hail face first into the mat.  Alexander with a camel clutch.  Hail gets to her feet and she gets Alexander on her back and she drops back to the mat.  Hail with an Irish whip and flying forearm.  Hail with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall.  Hail goes for a moonsault but Alexander gets her knees up and then she hits a flying boot to the side of the head for the three count.

Winner:  Eliza Alexander

Amale is asked about what is going on and Nina Samuels interrupts to ask the questions.
Nina asks if Amale is embarrassed over her loss to Blair Davenport and how she is no hope for the French.

Amale responds to Nina in French and then Nina asks Amale what she said.

Amale asks if Nina is the pride of her country.  Amale says she has no interest in spiking the viewers of her show.  It does not matter if it is Blair, Isla, Eliza, or Nina, she will go through whoever it takes to get to the NXT UK Women’s Championship.

We go to commercial.

We are back with Chase University.  Andre talks about the way to way to spell color, not colour.

Eddie Dennis interrupts and wants to know what is going on and Andre introduces himself to Eddie.

Eddie says he is questioning the integrity of his educational institution.  Eddie mentions that the UK is home to Oxford and Cambridge.  Eddie says he was a former head teacher.  Eddie says that Andre is besmirching the profession.

Andre wants to know who the f*** Eddie is to interrupt his lecture.

Eddie says Andre must feel impressed that he has some neanderthal.

Andre says it is time for a TEACHABLE MOMENT.  He says if Eddie thinks it is so easy to take someone under your wing as a protege, why not do it with ‘him’.

We see that Andre is referring to Saxon Huxley.

Match Number Three:  Teoman (with Rohan Raja) versus Sam Gradwell

They lock up and Gradwell with a side head lock.  Teoman tries to escape but Gradwell holds on to the side head lock.  Teoman with forearms and Gradwell with a shoulder tackle.  Teoman slaps Gradwell and Gradwell with punches to Teoman.  Gradwell with a slam and a double underhook but Teoman escapes the hold.  Gradwell clotheslines Teoman over the top rope to the floor.  Raja checks on Teoman and Gradwell goes to the apron and Raja stands between the combatants.  Gradwell with punches to Teoman but Teoman pulls out the ring skirt and trips Gradwell.

Gradwell is sent into the apron a few times and they return to the ring.  Teoman gets a near fall.  Teoman with a Million Dollar Dream followed by a forearm to the back.  Teoman returns to the Million Dollar Dream.  Gradwell with forearms to Teoman but Teoman with an arm bar.  Gradwell tosses Teoman face first to the mat.  Teoman rakes the eyes while Gradwell has Teoman on his shoulders.  Teoman holds his ankle but that is a distraction for the referee to allow Raja to send Gradwell into the ropes.  Teoman with a running forearm for a near fall.  Teoman sets for a reverse DDT but Gradwell with a snap mare.  Gradwell gets Teoman up and then he hits a back body drop.  Gradwell with punches and forearms.  Gradwell with a forearm in the corner and a butterfly suplex.  Gradwell goes to the turnbuckles and Teoman distracts the referee to allow Raja to drop Gradwell on the top rope. 

The referee sends Raja to the back.  Teoman sets for a reverse DDT but Gradwell hits Teoman with the knee brace and Gradwell with a Cradle Shock for the three count.

Winner:  Sam Gradwell

We see Wolfgang in the back as he gets ready for his match against Trent Seven.

We cut to Trent Seven in the back.

Sid Scala is with Mark Coffey, the Heritage Cup Champion.

Noam Dar shows up and he asks Sid if he told Mark the news.  Sid says he has received all of the emails and letters from Noam about a rematch.  Dar says it is from all of the fans.  Dar says he is the greatest Heritage Cup Champion of all time and he deserves a rematch.
Mark says they are one apiece so he is okay with making the match.

Sid says he will do whatever he can to make the match.

We go to commercial.

We are back and next week, Mark Andrews faces Joe Coffey in a first round tournament match.  The other tournament match next week is Tyler Bate versus Kenny Williams. 

Wolfgang showed that the Tsar was nearly human.  The stars have aligned for him to have another chance to become NXT UK Champion.

Trent says we are ready to crown a brand new NXT UK Champion.  It is the exact reason he got rid of Tyler Bate.  He stands on top of the mountain to save British sports.

Match Number Four:  Trent Seven versus Wolfgang in a First Round Match in the NXT UK Men’s Championship Tournament

They lock up and Wolfgang with a clean break.  They lock up and Trent backs Wolfgang into the ropes and Trent misses a chop and Wolfgang wants to punch Trent but the referee gets in the way.  Wolfgang with a side head lock and shoulder tackle.  Wolfgang with a forearm to the back and he goes for a slam but Trent lands on his feet.  Trent goes for a hip toss but Wolfgang blocks it and gives Trent a hip toss.  Wolfgang with an arm drag into an arm bar.

Wolfgang works on the arm and he lifts Trent in the air by the wrist.  Wolfgang with a wrist lock take down.  Trent gets into the ropes and then he punches Wolfgang when the referee separates them.  Trent with more punches.  Trent with a chop but Wolfgang with a drop kick.  Wolfgang is sent to the floor by Trent when Trent moves but Wolfgang pulls Trent to the floor.  Wolfgang with chops and he Irish whips Trent into the ringside barrier.  Wolfgang goes up on the ringside barrier but Trent trips him.

They get back into the ring and Trent with forearms to the lower back.  Trent with a rear chin lock.  Trent with knees to the back and he stretches Wolfgang.  Wolfgang gets Trent up but his back gives out.  Trent gets to his feet and he hits a DDT for a near fall.  Trent with a knee to the back and he sets for a Seven Star Lariat but Wolfgang ducks and hits a German suplex.  Wolfgang with a cross body into the corner and he goes up top and hits a double sledge.  Wolfgang with a slam and a leaping back senton for a near fall.  Trent escapes a slam attempt and hits a half and half suplex. 

Wolfgang with a Caber Toss for a near fall.  Trent with a thrust kick but Wolfgang with a clothesline and he gets Trent up for a double knee gutbuster for a near fall.  Wolfgang goes up top but Trent stops him with a few chops.  Trent sets for a superplex but Wolfgang head butts Trent to the mat.  Wolfgang with a swanton but Trent gets his knees up.  Trent with a back fist and a Burning Hammer for the three count.

Winner:  Trent Seven (advances to face Oliver Carter)
