ARE WRESTLERS REALLY TRYING TO GET OUT OF AEW BECAUSE HHH IS IN CHARGE, BRAY WYATT AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2022-08-11 10:00:00

There seems to be a lot of talk about wrestlers trying to get out of their AEW deals to go back to WWE because Triple H is in charge of WWE now.  Is there anything to this?

I have yet to hear of one wrestler asking for an AEW release or even worse, trying to break their AEW contract because of the WWE regime change.  That said, do I think there are wrestlers who have privately said, "Oh, I can go back to WWE now" or "I'd like to go back now"?  Of course there likely have been.  I am generalizing when I state this, but the majority of wrestlers always think the grass is greener elsewhere.  There are WWE talents now who wish they were in AEW three years ago.  There are main roster talents who wish they were used the way they were in NXT.  These are talents who in many cases are obsessed with bettering themselves and making more money at all times, so of course there will be some who believe the way to solve that riddle is to jump elsewhere.  There would have to be some who knew they would be set up to fail under the Vince McMahon system who now believe they'd make a mint under the HHH system.  There are talents who aren't pushed in main event positions in each company who believe they'd be pushed in the other company.  That's the nature of the beast when it comes to how pro wrestlers are in how they approach the business.  They want to be the top person and they want to make untold riches.  If they didn't, what would drive them to perform?  So, would some like to jump and see how the other half lives under HHH?  I bet there are.  Whether they can or will or even publicly express that?  I don't believe so.  Contracts are contracts for a reason and I don't think anyone from either side wants to be involved in breach of contract issues.

Why do people think Bray Wyatt is more likely to come back to WWE now?

I can see why.  The management  - Vince McMahon - that made the decision to release him, is gone.  Whole new world.  As we have reported here in the past, Vince McMahon and Wyatt always had what was described to PWInsider.com as a "hot and cold" relationship.  When McMahon was cold and unhappy with him, it was blatantly obvious to everyone in the area of their interactions.  Wyatt was a Triple H creation in that the initial version of the character was nurtured in WWE NXT, so why wouldn't everyone involved think that makes for an easier discussion for a return?

Why doesn't WWE run the Prudential Center anymore?  Is it because of AEW?

I haven't heard why, but I doubt WWE purposely stopped running a market to let someone else have it.

The one thing that I’ve noticed about the WWE Women’s Division since Triple H taking over is the fact that the women are acting more masculine and tough-as-nails when it comes to cutting promos and initiating fights which includes everything from punching each other to locker room brawls in the ring and even women attacking men as opposed to the Divas Era where the women would cut childish promos such as the “Piggie James” storyline to petty catfights to just slapping a man on the face. Thoughts?

Yep, I think you are noticing things.

Any chance Netflix brings GLOW back?

We haven't heard anything about a potential return for that series.
