TOP MATCHES FOR UPCOMING AEW BROADCASTS, ANOTHER AEW INJURY & MORE

AEW Champion CM Punk returned tonight, just days after he was spotted without the walking boot on at C2E2:

The smart money on The Young Bucks' partner in the AEW Trios tournament is Kenny Omega.  I would be shocked if the Trios titles were anything but a new vehicle for the Bucks and Omega.

During Dynamite, it was noted Kris Statlander is out with an unspecified injury.

Penelope Ford returned on tonight's Dynamite taping.  Red Velvet was backstage as well.

Our friends at NoPrimaDonna.com sent the following....Charlie Kruel was the latest person to get choked out by Anna Jay.  It happened during a backstage segment on AEW Dynamite tonight as Jay was being interviewed with other members of the Jericho Appreciation Society by Tony Schiavone. Daniel Garcia hyped  up his 2/3 Falls Match against Bryan Danielson for next week on AEW Dynamite and he called himself The Dragon Slayer.  Anna Jay started yelling like a bully at someone off camera and ran after them thinking that they were "doubting" Garcia's bold claims. She dragged them into camera view in a choke hold. The camera revealed it was Charlie Kruel but Kruel was never mentioned by name.

Hook will make his first FTW title defense on the 8/19 edition of AEW Rampage.

Tickets for the AEW Washington, DC events will officially go on sale this Friday AM.

We've had a few emails about Leyla Hirsh.  We haven't heard any timetable for her return from ACL surgery.
